This is a place to go for great popcorn I know this the only place to get good popcorn. Since I experienced is popcorn I can’t read any other popcorn I ate some store bought for her yesterday and it was horrible so from now on kennels by Chrissie.. Best popcorn in town try you’ll never go back to regular popcorn out of the store I have regular popcorn and many many other kind my favorite is is cinnamon and tickled pink they have barbecue popcorn have to come and see what they have just so many so good

Like the fresh Kettle corn is AH-​MAZ-​ING! Caramel corn… Buttery. Tastebuds are happy and my olfactory is dancings.

I’m not normally into popcorn but we stumbled upon this place while wandering around 5^th Street Arcade. It’s great that you can look through the glass windows and see them actually making the popcorn, but really it was the delicious smell that drew us in. The staff was friendly and offered up a lot of different flavors for us to try. The prices are reasonable too at $ 4 for a bag of gourmet popcorn and I ended up with a bag of raspberries & cream and a bag of the coconut curry. Loving the unique flavors and a handful is definitely enough to satisfy your craving without giving you a stomach ache. My only complaint is that it was hot in there, like I was sweating, but I guess they can’t help it since they cook everything right there.

I visited this place for the first time a few weeks ago and was very impressed with the staff. I went again today, and they were spot on with the service. It Is uncommon (unfortunately) to go a place and have consistent great service. Everyone is extremely helpful and it doesn’t hurt that popcorn is pretty darn tasty

Just okay popcorn. Neat little place though. BIG selection of flavors & they’ll let you sample. I got the cheese & carmel mix. I may be grading a little harshly, but every other popcorn I have tried since eating Garrett’s, just seems blah??? However place was clean & service was good :-)

We stumbled upon this while out exploring the city and i was so excited! Everything was absolutely delicious and everyone was so sweet! Fresh made kettle corn is my favorite and there just aren’t enough festivals and fairs to satisfy my craving so excited that I can get some anytime! I can’t wait to come back!

Fantastic popcorn shop in downtown Cleveland! I was meandering back to my hotel from a fantastic lunch at Lola and stopped by. I am so glad I did! I am reluctant to purchase store bought caramel corn as it is never as good as home made, but the smell when I opened the door peaked my interest. It was delightful…
The staff offered me several different samples and they were as sweet as the product they were selling. The caramel corn is amazing. It is so buttery and wonderful, you don’t even need to chew it. Beware! If you buy any, it is hard to put down.
Not only do they offer sweet delights, they have savory treats, too. I fell in love with their rosemary white cheddar and the sour cream and chive…
I ended up buying a caramel corn, sour cream and onion and then for giggles, a package of their garlic white cheddar. How could you go wrong?
They have a website and I plan on buying some treats for my dad for Fathers Day!
The prices are extremely reasonable for a gourmet product. The staff are so kind. The product is so good. I highly recommend you treat yourself and go here. It will be worth your while!

I stopped here after work yesterday and was very impressed. I loved the cute seasonal displays and wide variety of flavors to choose from.
I went with the milk chocolate covered caramel popcorn– delicious! it was fresh, buttery, and not too sweet. I prefer it over Campbells :)
Kernels by Chrissie (as well as the other shops in the 5^th Street Arcades) are definitely worth a visit!

Honestly, I didn’t know about this business until Chrissie opened up shop in the 5^th street arcade recently! She said she has been in business doing events, fundraisers, etc. for 5 years now and never imagined she would have her own store. After sampling many of her flavors, I can tell you she deserves it! The popcorn is delicious. I’m a Garrett’s fanatic and I have to say, her «216 mix» that is mirrored after the Chicago mix (her’s has cheddar, white cheddar, and caramel), is absolutely delicious.
The caramel corn literally MELTS in your mouth. After one taste from people at work, I started getting requests for me to walk over and buy them a bag or two since her store is so convenient for me. I love the jalapeño cheddar, too — so flavorful! I actually like mixing that one with the caramel– YUM! I also love the white cheddar and gingerbread caramel. The gingerbread caramel is very potent, but still great!
At 3 – 5 dollars for a small bag, I think the price is very reasonable for being gourmet popcorn! You can buy tins too — her prices range anywhere from 7−45+ dollars depending on the size of the tin. I’m sure these would have made great holiday gifts, but I didn’t realize they had already opened until after the holidays!
Chrissie, the owner, is so nice! She’s the only staff member I have met so far, but I’m sure the rest are just the same!
I love small shops and I’m glad this one is so close to my apartment. I hope this winter still gives her enough business to thrive in that location. I know I’ll definitely be visiting it a lot!

Small gourmet popcorn shop. The staff is very nice and let’s you sample different flavors before you make your purchase. I really enjoyed some of the seasonal flavors like the white chocolate peppermint, a perfect holiday gift, and the chocolate caramel.

What a great find! We were shopping on Small Business Saturday at the Arcade Shops and found Chrissie’s on the way out. For those of you who like gourmet popcorn, this is somewhere you need to try. We bought 4 flavors, all of which were very fresh and come packaged in resealable bags. Prices are VERY reasonable for the quality and quantity you get. The standout flavors to me were the Kettle Corn and the White Cheddar. There are also several seasonal flavors that are creative. A very friendly staff operates the very neat and clean space. We will definitely be back!
