Excellent pulled pork and beef. The chef made some amazing banana pudding fresh for us! It was sublime!

Our order was out quickly. Staff was courteous and attentive. BBQ was delicious. My husband got the stuffed potato and was extremely pleased. Servings are ample.

It’s rather fitting that the word ‘hangry’was officially entered into the Webster’s dictionary this week. I was hungry and it was making me angry. This barbecue joint tells you right off the bat how wonderful the food is going to be by the marvelous thick smoke scent that wafts into your nose as you enter. I hope you bring your appetite when you come cause they piled the food on like crazy my plate of shredded pork and ribs was abundant moist and delicious our waitress was lively chatty and excels at customer service her name is Kasen! She’s bubbly as can be and will make your evening splendid. We her loved her to bits. Get yourself off the freeway and drive the 2 miles to this wonderful barbecue dining establishment. Send me a note and let me know what you thought.

Not the experience I was expecting when I saw the parking lot was full. I tried the ribs w/pulled beef, a side of baked beans and potato salad. The pulled beef was so dry — had to keep adding sauce to it. The pork was … Average. Without the pork my meal would have been a disaster. Took a minute or two longer to get seated and/or served. Chance of coming back, close to nil

Food was great — it came out hot and quick. Only down side is beans tasted out of a can. The hot slaw was fantastic

Pretty good bbq. I had the brisket which was good but the sides need some improvement. The cookies and brownies are bland. Still way better than Shane’s Rib Shack lol

How’s the BBQ at Jordan’s? It’s like Jim Carey’s response after his sleeping partner in Liar, Liar asked, How was it?: «I’ve had better.» Not the best ‘que I ever had but it would do in a pinch. Interesting venue though.

I went here for the first time after work today(5:00 pm) and was very impressed. Clean and cozy dining area, courteous and attentive staff, and very good BBQ. I started out with the«Fried Green Beans» for an appetizer. I never had them before and figured, what the heck. YUM! For the main entrée I got the«St. Louis Style Ribs» with a side of «Hot Slaw» and«Onion Rings» with Unsweetened Ice Tea(+lemon) to drink. Just excellent all around. The ribs were tender and juicy, with just the right amount of smoke and bark. Onion rings were fried perfectly with a nice crunchy outside and tender onion inside. The hot slaw was great as well, and wasn’t overly spicy. They have 3 different sauces to choose from on the table(mild, gold, hot) if you so desire. And although I did try all three, the ribs did not need any doctoring. The tea was just the perfect thing to wash down this calorie fest with. I WILL be going back!

Was driving home from the Thanksgiving holiday, and had a hankering for BBQ. I’m very ambivalent about this restaurant, as I went there exclusively for the BBQ, and it was the part of the meal that I enjoyed the least. It was very dry and not very tasty, but the cole slaw, onion rings, french fries and Texas Toast were yummy! I didn’t try a dessert, since the entrée portions were huge. Service was punctual, but we had to chase the waitress, to get our bill. The next time I am driving through Cleveland, I think I’ll pass on this one…

I’ve always wanted to try this place but the opportunity never really presented itself until today. I’m so glad I stopped by. I knew I’d made the right choice as soon as I stepped out of my car. I could smell the food and burning wood. I ordered my food to go so I can’t comment on actually eating in the restaurant. I ordered the pulled chicken breast, baked apples, and coleslaw. I tried the pulled chicken with and without the BBQ sauce(. You really can’t go wrong either way. The meat has plenty of moisture, so it won’t be dry. The sauce(I had mild) wasn’t too tangy or sweet. I’m not sure if its original, but whatever the case, it was pretty delicious. The baked apples. Omg. They still had the skin on them! They were absolutely delicious! I think it’s usually pretty hard to mess up something as simple as coleslaw. Jordan’s got it right. This is definitely a place that I’ll be eating at in the very near future!

Ok had to try out the cleveland tn. BBQ so far nice place first thing though a BBQ sandwich chips and a pickle 7.50 a little pricey I think had to pay an extra 1.50 to upgrade to potatoe salad so 9.00 not counting the drink yikes! Well food is here service has been fast and friendly and luckily at least the sides and sandwich is large so makes me feel a little better about my expense. Well let’s dig in and I will give you the rest of the details. Well have to agree with a previous review very dry meat disappointing but what can you expect from the state the Tennessee vols are from full of disappointments. Also got some baked beans I agree they are canned beans doctored up with brown sugar. Wow such a nice place great service but below average food I will return to see if just a bad day just wish Unilocal had a system that let you rate by category because it’s hard to give a low rating with such great service.

First let me say, I consider myself a BBQ snob. I have eaten the best from Kansas City to North Carolina and all points in between. Jordan’s isn’t even close, for me the first mark of a good BBQ joint is «Can I smell the smoke?» and at Jordan’s the answer is NO. That to me is a big red flag because, it means either the meat isn’t cooked on site and is brought in from off site and reheated later,(usually in a microwave, which pork hates) or its cooked by some«other» means which doesn’t make it BBQ anymore. The pork I ordered was dry as a bone(microwaved) and had no smoke flavor at all, good BBQ is achieved with charcoal and wood(sorry you gas grill people) my wife had some pulled chicken which was also very dry. Second what do your side dishes taste like? I had the baked beans and coleslaw, my beans tasted like someone opened a can dumped it on a plate and served it right up, the slaw was dry and bland as well. Third and this a big one for me, the sauces. Just like bigger restaurants(Famous Daves etc) they have a selection of sauces in squeeze bottles on the table in a little 6 pack carton, I struggled to find one that was to my liking, but one stood out as being the worst sauce hands down that I have EVER had. They call it Gold sauce and let me tell you it tasted like someone there had found a way to put acid reflux in a bottle, just don’t do it. I will say the staff was nice and service was prompt, but overall you are there for the food which unfortunately just doesn’t make the grade.

Great BBQ brought back lots of memories and still one of my favorite BBQ places. Great old log cabin restaurant with lots of memorabilia of the old days. Thanks for a great lunch. God bless

Jordan’s has been around my whole life. I have always had their BBQ and it’s always been pretty good. My trip to the restaurant recently has turned me away from this Cleveland staple. I had a pulled pork sandwich which was smashed flat. I had to peel the bun off to add sauce. I then turned it over and the bottom of the BBQ was completely flat. Could not even tell it was pulled pork it was so flat. Once I got some sauce on it and took a bite it was dry as dry can get. I had to add sauce to each bit to be able to even eat the sandwich. My wife had a chicken stuffed potato. The chicken was extremely dry and she said it didn’t even taste like BBQ chicken. She said it tasted like boiled chicken. Then the potato was smothered in concession stand nacho cheese. She did not even eat it. Only thing I enjoyed were the fries. The staff were friendly even with our disappointment. Probably won’t be returning to this BBQ place.

Doesn’t look like much but don’t let that fool you. Nice place with friendly staff. A bit slow on the waiting/serving but worth it. I had a pull pork platter and man did they pile on the food. I ate at this for 2 days. Very flavorful! Make sure to stop by and try it!

I found this restaurant one day going to the YMCA. I like getting there bar b q sandwich with cole slaw. They will ask you if you want hot slaw or cole slaw on your BBQ sandwich. They were very attentive to my drink as always which is very important to me. Sometimes I will get their baked beans as a side like I did today. Check out the picture of my meal before I ate it. I was as good as it looks. Other times, I will get their loaded stuffed baked potato. It has pulled pork and melted cheese in it and other good stuff.

This quaint frame house with its large wooden porch and rustic décor has been a mainstay of southern Bar-B-Q in Cleveland for over twenty years. You don’t survive in the food industry that long unless you are doing something right. Jordan’s is doing a lot of things right. The staff is as much about hospitality as service. We go there every time we are in the area, which is about four times a year and are always greeted with a smile and an enthusiastic«welcome back!» My son always gets the large pulled pork sandwich and fries. I have a hard time deciding between the beans and rice, stuffed potato, onion rings, or chili. So I usually have a BBQ and one of the above. Washed down with sweet tea and followed by the best home made banana pudding in three states, this is a meal worth waiting for. And I say that because my son won’t eat BBQ anywhere but Jordan’s. Which means a lot of waiting for a Florida boy. If you are in Cleveland, go by and see for yourself. It doesn’t get any better!

What a great place. I have been working in Cleveland for the last several weeks, and I make sure that I get over to Jordans at least once a week. The place is just dripping with southern charm. Kind of an old cabin looking building, with lots of odds and ends adorning the walls. Every time I go in for lunch the place is packed, I haven’t been in for dinner so I don’t know how busy dinner service gets. The waitstaff is friendly and attentive. My glass was never empty. The menu is typical for a bbq joint; pulled pork, beef, loaded potatoes, etc… The food is pretty good, not the best bbq in the world, but pretty good none the less. The hot sauce has just the right mixture of heat and flavor, the other sauces are good too, but I really like the hot sauce. I always get the hot slaw(very good), and the fried okra; both are pretty good. Really, just an all around good, simple menu. BEERFACTOR: Unfortunately, there is no beer on the menu. That is the only thing keeping me from venturing over this way for dinner.

The biggest cliché Bar-B-Q place I’ve ever been to! Christmas lights, a traffic light, old street signs and town paraphernalia covering an old cabin-like structure. I walked in and sat right down. It was around 6pm. Its kind of a small place with lots of clutter on the walls – I hear it’s packed at lunch. They have carry-out service too. The wait staff is very friendly. The menu is simple. I had the pulled pork sandwich with onion rings and hot slaw on the side. The hot sauce is vinegar based and it caused me to pre-sweat. The mild sauce is good too – I stuck with that for the most part. The onion rings were great. Some places actually mess onion rings up but this place didn’t. I didn’t really eat much of the slaw cause I was pretty full once I finished my sandwich and rings. The food was very affordable. I would recommend this place to family and friends. Great food!
