Wish I could rate this place higher because of they were very nice, however the prices are high ($ 45 without tip for a gel manicure) and it took waaayyy too long

I was excited to get a same-​day hair appointment for a hair cut given my random work schedule and my long hair needed work. I arrived with my stylist, Chris, finishing up on another client and we started ~ 15 min after my appointment time. As soon as I sat down and he asked what I wanted (simple layered cut), he said that he wouldn’t have time to blow dry my hair and asked if it was ok to skip that part. When I hesitated, «he said how about I start and you finish the blow dry yourself?»
I declined and said I would reschedule my appointment to which he pressured me to make an appointment there and then and said that the salon was only himself and the front desk receptionist. There was no assistant there that day to help blow dry — it was Monday. Also, he tried to make another excuse that the appointment was made for only 45 min instead of an hour for longer hair, to which he had given me 30 min. Perhaps guests should be asked their length of hair and adjust scheduling to accommodate for this.
For a high-​quality salon, wouldn’t you want your clients to leave with an amazing blow dry? Don’t the stylists finish the job from beginning to end? I can understand if an assistant washes my hair but blow-​drying and styling is the final touch that should be completed by the artist who envisions the piece from the beginning.

I went to this salon last week and had an absolutely wonderful experience. Tamera was my stylist and she went above and beyond for me. I accidentally scheduled for the wrong kind of coloring service and mine would require more time than she had me scheduled for… But she figured it out and gave me an amazing haircolor and cut. She listened to all of my requests for my haircut and style. It is honestly the best haircut I’ve had in years. I walked out of there literally feeling like a million bucks.

This is location is a little smaller than their other ones, but I was able to get a last minute appointment on a Saturday, which was nice. My stylist was really fanstastic, listened to what I wanted and did such. The receptionist was very kind as well. Will definitely go back!

Went here for a quick brow wax on my lunch hour, left looking like a prize fighter with seriously swollen eyes and a lot of missing skin under my brows. Not happy at all, they knew they did this to me and still charged me. I also let the waxer know I had sensitive skin and to please turn down the heat. In pain and pissed!

I finally found THE salon!
You know how bad haircuts can be, right? You usually leave the salon with an empty wallet and looking worse than when you came in (or was that just me??).
After moving downtown for school and work, I was in desperate need of a new hair salon to call home. I had heard great reviews of Palmieri salons from my friends so I took the plunge and made my appointment.
Since then, I have been back for wash/​cut/​styles 3 times and I have no complaints whatsoever. The staff and stylists are always friendly and attentive. The salon itself is well appointed, modern, and clean. Dino Palmieri’s is a great value, too, for the quality of service and amazing results.

Chris does such a great job on men’s cuts and kids’ cuts. He is engaging and friendly. I love how he finishes a men’s cut with another rinse at the bowl. He is a consummate professional. Just beware: he has a tendency to cut hair too short even if you just want a trim. Yes you will pay more than average for a haircut with him but you can tell it is a great haircut a mile away.

Was On a quick business trip and walked in on a Monday afternoon at 3, they were able to accommodate me very quickly. I saw Chelsea and she did a fabulous job giving me a slanted bob cut. Would definitely visit again if I was in town.

I know this is primarily a salon, however I went for their nail service on my lunch break a few weeks ago. The stylist and salon aspect looked great but the nail service was terrible. Personally, painting my nails is one of my hobbies, so when I go to get my nails done, and pay $ 23 for it, I expect the best quality service.
The nail trimming was weak, the hand massage lasted less than 5 minutes, although I’m glad it did because she was just wiggling my hand, and to top it off she got nail polish all over my skin and didn’t remove it. Needless to say I could have done a way better job and unfortunately this experience has turned me away from ever paying to get my nails done again.

Great overall experience and service! I am extremely picky about my hair. I have long, very thick, color treated blonde hair that’s tough to work with. Cassie at Studio Palmieri was amazing. She took the time to get to know how I like my hair, what products I use (as not to over style) and combined her suggestions with what I wanted done. The finished product was amazing. I loved both the cut and color and couldn’t be happier. Highly recommend this downtown salon.

Came here with a groupon, and left with amazing hair and a new stylist. My last stylist (at a different salon) got fired and I’ve been desperately trying to find her… i resorted to facebook stalking her neighbor. I know. I’m crazy. Luckily my friend owns a salon… but he is 500 miles away. I really cannot justify spending $ 180 in gas money to get my hair done. I got haircut and highlights by Chelsea and I was amazed. I know lots of people who go to this specific shop, and they all love it. highly recommend!

Last week was my first experience at Dino Palmieri but it will not be my last. I bought the groupon but did not get treated like a groupon customer (aka cheap). Chelsea was my stylist and she did such a great job at listening to what I wanted and totally nailed it. She was just as excited as I was to make my color look amazing. I left looking and feeling like a rockstar. I will definitely be back.

Good salon once I get in but EVERY time I go they make me wait for 20 to 40 minutes to see me. This is with even having an appointment. Its obnoxious but there aren’t good competitors downtown to give me any bargaining power. Crazy mullets– take a hint?

I’ve seen Teresa twice at Dino Palmieri and have been pretty pleased with her.
I’m definitely not a girly girl, and my morning hair routine is to roll out of bed, brush my hair, and put it in a ponytail/​bun. Related, I tend to wait FOREVER to get it cut, until the split ends are just too much to bear. Needless to say, my hair was not looking so hot when I went to Teresa for my first cut.
She definitely knows her hair — I just wanted to cut off my ragged layers, but she convinced me to re-​do them and to get them not quite as short. The resulting look was MUCH better and I was pretty happy with it.
Months later, I decided to try to lighten my hair with Sun-​In. Terrible idea. I thought it looked good at first, but once my roots starting showing I could see that it 1) looked bronze and 2) looked awful. I booked an appointment with Teresa to just dye my hair back to my natural color (my first dye ever!)
Teresa did a pretty good job — my parents didn’t even realize it was different. She’s fun to talk to and gave me a good cut afterwards (it had «only» been six months since my last appointment with her!)
My only complaint is that it was a bit hard to convince Teresa that I really did want my boring color back, and that more complex cuts were not the way to go. I completely understand that she is the expert, and I’m sure that was she was suggesting would have looked amazing — however, as someone who spends about 5 minutes on my hair in the morning, and specifically said that I didn’t want to do any maintenance on my color, those looks are sadly not for me.
But can I really complain about someone trying to make me look my best? Nope!
The hours are pretty flexible here, although parking is terrible (I just walk from my apartment). Both times I’ve gone, the staff has asked if I wanted to buy product there, but never pushed it, which I appreciate.

I’ve been seeing Katie at Dino Palmieri Studio for about 2 years now and I’ve never left with a bad cut! She’s fantastic and I would recommend her in a heartbeat to my friends and co-​workers. Friendly, funny and clearly talented, she’s the best

Absolutely awesome hair stylists… The ladies are pretty easy on the eyes as well.

I love my stylist Angie. She does a great job. That being said however, there have been a few problems. First she had to call off due to family stuff, which I completely understand. The stylist who filled in was not as good. She colored my hair one color on the roots and a COMPLETLY different color on the rest. I then received a free redo. I appreciated that they made it right. On my next appt. I was told that my stylist got a raise and would cost more today and from now on. Today tho, I went in to get my hair done and discovered that they had lost all of my information because they had switched computer systems. They had no appt. for me, even though I had set one up a couple days ago. I know that things happen, but they are so expensive that they shouldn’t annoy me quite so often. I love Angie but I’ll be going somewhere else after the holidays.

This was my first time at this salon and will not be my last time either. My stylist Cassie was fun, vibrant, and über cool. She took her time to get to know me and my hair. I showed her a photo of a hairstyle I liked, and Cassie made it happen! Before I even met with Cassie, the woman at the front desk was so warm and welcoming. A wonderful first impression of the salon and its professionalism.

I had been going to Dino’s since I was 20, then moved to DC for three years! I bounced around from stylist to stylist, salon to salon and really never found «the one» while I was living there. Whenever I came home I tried to coordinate a hair appointment with Anthony. He has been doing my hair forever.
Beside a personal connection (he hired me as a receptionist when I was still in college) he’s hilarious, provides great conversation and has great vision and technique. I have never been disappointed with a cut or color. I’m now 32 and have been back in Cleveland for almost four years and my hair couldn’t be happier. I am also blessed with naturally curly hair and Anthony knows exactly how to cut and style my frizzy, unruly mess.

As a girl with naturally curly locks, I can not trust my hair in the hands of just anyone. I’ve been to several salons in the Cleveland area that left me patiently praying for hair growth. Luckily, Dino Palmieri is not one of them. I totally lucked out, really, because I can walk there.
I have had several stylists there cut and color my hair and I have never left disappointed. They have a talented staff and the prices are reasonable. I can tell them I want a long, curly style and they get it right. Conversely, if I want a short, straight bob they get that right, as well — which is not an easy task when a person has been called «Frizz-​ball» or variations thereof more times than one can recount!
