Cc’s Re-New Beginnings

I went here because their website advertises that they have plus sizes. I was seriously underwhelmed by the selection, not to mention the prices! $ 20 for a second hand Lane Bryant sweater?! I could buy it brand new in store for that price when it got marked down. I do appreciate that they included plus sizes in their store, but they had two very small 4 arm racks with a few items on them. Most were a size 1x or 2x and not in style.
If I were writing this review solely on the selection in the store, I’d have given it 3 stars because they did have a large selection of non-​plus sized clothes and a few neat vintage hats.
The reason I went with two stars were the two women working there. One was the owner and the other one was her daughter. I asked about consigning items as I was preparing to leave and the woman sort of rudely suggested that I was asking because the sign said I had to make an appointment and I must have not read their website and brought a whole car load of stuff. That wasn’t the case. Then she asked what I wanted to consign and she kind of gave me a look and then told me in a snooty tone that all items had to be «top of the line fashion» and «hip and current.» What are you insinuating, mam? That because I came in on my day off while running errands in jeans and a hoodie that I must not know fashion? Very rude, and also, I don’t think that your selection of polyester blend pants and oversized floral shirts would qualify as what I consider «top of the line fashion,» nor do I find them to be «hip and current.» I definitely won’t be consigning or shopping there again.
If you’re plus sized and looking for a great consignment shop, check out Curvy Consignments in North Ridgeville. They have an excellent selection and the employees are friendly and not snooty at all.
