C. Julia Photography was founded in 2009 by owner and photographer C. Julia Nelson as a start-​up business out of her home. Five years later, C. Julia Photography continues to serve the greater Cleveland and Toledo areas.

C. Julia Nelson, owner, founder and photographer at C. Julia Photography got her photographic start initially in high school, but gained much of her real life experience as a photo journalist after college. A graduate of Ohio University’s Scripps School of Journalism with a BSJ, Ms. Nelson went back to school for business and photography through the Toledo Museum of Art and Owens Community College. She has done photography in many capacities including as a photojournalist for more than 5 publications, as a public relations specialist for both non-​profit and for-​profit organizations, for LifeTouch Studios as a portrait and sports photographer and finally for her own business, C. Julia Photography, which celebrated its 5 year anniversary on Oct. 1, 2014.
