Appletree Books is an independent neighborhood bookstore located in the Cedar/​Fairmount shopping area of Cleveland Heights. We have a variety of books ranging from current bestsellers, travel, local interest, history, young adults and children’s books. We also stock greeting cards and sell a range of gift items including paper products, and bookends.

History

Established in 1975.

Appletree was founded in 1975, and the current owner is the 3^rd owner of the store. The store has always strived to serve our neighborhood customers while providing books and other items to visitors to Cleveland and University Circle.

Business Owner

I have always been a reader of books, and enjoy sharing my knowledge of books with our customers. I live in Cleveland Heights and my daughter was the person who got me interested in working in the bookstore. I worked for over 8 years with the previous owner. I want the store to be a warm and welcoming place, and offer service to that will help you find that special book to read or select a book for people you know.
