Excellent but costly place. This is a good quality place to get your hair cut, but it is on the expensive side… completely worth the money though.

I am new in Cleveland and I needed a quick haircut.
Eddy’s reviews were really encouraging so I made an appointment with Rene. I asked for layers and something that would look good without styling. She knew exactly what I wanted and she nailed it. My hair looks fresh and full of life. I couldn’t be happier with my haircut.

Just a little trim please. I saw the Junior stylist, a lovely lady. Eddy’s was the most cost efficient (read: doesn’t charge extra for blow drying your hair. an absolute must for anyone with long straight hair). $ 35 for a trim. The boutique is hipster-​chic with a minimalist feel — basically recycled hardware drawers for each station, traditional chair, and a massive life-​size mirror for each station. Hipster-​chic music to match the stylists and their own haircuts. It was busy and parking on Coventry can be dicey, but I got a sport out front and only had to wait a few minutes. She gave me exactly what I asked for which, unlike in a restaurant or gym, is exactly right.

Melissa did a fantastic job with my hair. I’ve wanted to get my long hair cut short for about ten years, but have never done it, for various reasons. I went in to Eddy’s to make the plunge, because I had heard such great things about Melissa. I had some ideas for what I wanted, many of them pretty dissimilar, nothing definite, but was flexible in going with what she thought was best. She was able to find the common themes in the ideas I had brought in, and come up with a cut that is very flattering and easy to care for. I was super impressed and grateful for this. She also offered styling suggestions and was very friendly and professional. I highly recommend Eddy’s on Coventry, and be sure to ask for Melissa!

I’ve been in Cleveland a few months now and had a difficult time finding someone to cut my hair — until I discovered Roberta at Eddie’s.
She actually LISTENED to the issues I had with the two other stylists I used in Cleveland, she actually asked questions and listened to the answers about how I care for my hair between cuts and decided on an approach that produced a result I’;m happy with.
I can’t recommend her more.

I’ve been a customer of Eddy’s for about 3 months now. I get my haircuts from Melissa, and she has been phenomenal. She carefully listens to how you want your hair to be styled, and in no time you’ll have the perfect haircut. Just be specific and she’ll have it for you. Staff are very professional and friendly, the shop is always clean and will have some free snacks, ice water, and magazines while you wait. If you’ve made an appointment, you’ll get your haircut within few minutes after you walk in. I’ve had no incidents where I had to wait longer than 5 min. Just a heads up, make sure to make an appointment with whichever hairstylist you want. Price is $ 25 for men’s haircut, and I think it’s worth every penny.

Went from super long to super short, Ruby Rose-​esque hair with Melissa. Discussed all the pros/​cons, maintenance, styling, etc. questions with her in pretty good detail before she actually started cutting. She was a little hesitant at first to try with the picture I brought in initially, as my hair texture is a lot thicker/​heavier/​Asian than the actress’ hair I was going for. After a lot of discussion, we decided to just go for it. BEST haircut decision of my life. I get compliments from strangers literally ALL the time on my hair. 4 weeks later and it’s still growing in beautifully (which is usually my measure for a solid hairstylist that knows what they’re doing). She’s very talented and willing to work with you to make sure you get the hairstyle you really want.
Also, free (delicious) coffee while you wait. Fun, casual salon environment. Still getting used to the $$$ of having a short haircut (every 4 – 6 weeks women’s cut, around $ 50), at least compared to long hair that gets cut twice a year, but so far, it’s worth it!

This place… man, all I can say is that I trusted them to give me my first pixie cut after 6 years of contemplating getting one and they did not disappoint! I went in thinking that it would turn out at best alright looking, but Roberta took fabulous care of me! I love my new hairstyle. Honestly, I can’t recommend enough.

My first haircut here and I had a great experience! The interior had a unique and charming character, my favorite being the mirrors hung on wooden doors. My barber Mr. Badansky was such a chill dude and super receptive to what I wanted to do with my hair. I went on a Friday and was able to make a same day appointment. Also, the free cookies were perfectly chewy. Overall amazing experience!

This place is great! Prices are moderate. Roberta is friendly and does a very nice job with my medium-​length layers.

I loved this place, and I wish I had found it earlier. I had my hair cut done by Brittany, and she was great. I described what I wanted, but before she got started chopping off the many many inches, I said I wanted the A-​line to be clearly angled, but not too dramatic.
I guess what I call «not too dramatic» is unfortunately what Jane Doe would call «a bit too dramatic.» haha. After she finished, I was disappointed, but figured it’s my own fault for not having come in with a picture. She quickly picked up on my frown and got to work making it just right. She essentially did 2 cuts for me to get me the look I wanted, took about an hour and a half on the whole thing, and was super nice through the whole thing.
She clearly cares a lot about the quality of her work — she wasn’t rushing through to get me out. And when she was done, it was amazing. The bf, the parental figures, the friends and the co-​workers have all been giving me tons of compliments on the new look… thanks to Brittany & Eddy’s.
I’ll be back. My new fave salon!

5*: Epitome of something, the best I’ve had, would LOVE to go back
4*: Great service and happy to go back regularly, but not the best of the category
3*: Service is fine. I may spontaneously decide to go there based on convenience. But no need to go back either.
2*: If I’m in a spot, I guess I would come here. But I wouldn’t have picked it.
1*: No plans to come back. I’ll try to talk companions out of going.

Melissa is hands down the best hairstylist I’ve ever had. And I take my hairstyling seriously. She is a wizard with scissors. She also waxes my eyebrows and is damn good at that, appropriately scolding me when I pluck them too aggressively. I have been going to Melissa for 7 or 8 years now — wow time flies — first while I was living in CLE, and ever since whenever I am back in town I make seeing her a priority. Not only is seeing her a priority so she can fix up whatever mess my hair is in, but also because she is a beautiful human being and a great friend — she came to my commencement from grad school and was at my wedding — that’s the kind of friendship we’ve built.
Enough about Melissa, don’t want her getting a big head! Let’s talk about Eddy’s. The salon is in a great location with convenient hours. Eddy himself is the man, the receptionists are super friendly and helpful, and the other stylists are chill, nice people that all do kickass work themselves. Not to mention the prices are more than reasonable for the cut you get and the products they stock are the jam.
Overall, going to see Melissa at Eddy’s on Coventry is a pleasure that gets better every time. What else can I say? I love this woman, the cut she gives me, and going to Eddy’s every time I am in the CLE.

I’ve been going to Eddy’s for the past year and a half, and I’m a fan.
Now, cutting Asian hair is hard. I’ve been to quite a few places in CLE, and they just get freaked out about it. Is it too coarse and thick? I don’t know. But a lot of times, if you’re asian, you come out wondering «oh my, why can’t anyone cut my hair?»
But Eddy’s is a different story! I feel like every person I’ve gone to at Eddy’s can cut Asian hair really well. It’s solid. And they’re stylish. I love that they use purology too– the nonscented hair products are a plus to me.
I specifically have been going to Eddy and Melissa, however, they’re really all good. I’m pretty picky about my hair so believe me, I trust them fully with my super thick Asian long hair. The price is decent too.
So yep! Can’t go wrong with Eddy’s– they’re solid and will give you that stylish haircut that you want with no problem at all, especially with Asian hair!

Melissa did a great job highlighting my hair. She did exactly what I wanted and asked questions along the way about how I wanted it. I’m so happy with how it turned out. She does both women’s and men’s hair and I would recommend her to anyone. So nice, too!
The salon is very professional and they will make sure you are happy with your hair. Also, they have cookies! :)

I’ve always had a really hard time finding a good place to get a hair cut. Maybe I’m picky but, in the past, there was pretty much only one person who was able to cut my hair the way I liked. Unfortunately the place became so busy that it was too difficult to get appointments and I ended up moving away as well.
Therefore the search for a good, relatively reasonably priced hair stylist began, and Toronto (the city I’m from) generally came up short.
I was in Cleveland for a bit on business and was in desperate need of a haircut. I decided to bite the bullet and get one before I got back to Toronto to see if I could get some luck in Cleveland. It turned out to be a great decision as it is one of the best cuts I have received so far.
I was lucky to get a same day appointment with Melissa, presumably since she had cancellation. I would greatly recommend her for men with thick hair or asian type hair as she really knows what she is doing. I was able to tell her the general idea of what I wanted and got good input on styling recommendations.
Overall the haircut was above my expectations. Melissa did a great job and gave me exactly what I requested. For full disclosure, upon coming home I can see a couple of spots where it could have been improved but on an overall basis, I am really happy because it is clear that this cut will be able to keep its shape as it grows. Another plus: she even washed my hair after the cut saving me a shower when I got home.
If a $ 25 – 30 cut is within your budget I would strongly recommend going to Eddy’s on Coventry and I would personally recommend Melissa

Four words: Best. Hair. Wash. EVER. Forget the limp handshake versions at the other salons, this was amazing. aMAzing. My scalp is still tingling.
I got my hair done by Lauren, who totally worked some magic on my insanely thick, course, horse hair. She was so attentive and knowledgeable about my hair, I immediately felt comfortable having her cut it. I swear, this is one of my top hair cuts. I wanted it thinned out to the max (I’ve contemplated shaving it off many times), and now it’s this sleek, shiny, amazing mane. The only person lamenting is my partner who apparently likes women with bird nests on their heads (WTF?). He’ll just have to do with my other «redeeming» qualities. Suck it up manfriend, ‘cuz I’m loving my new ‘do.

After 10 years (at least) of entrusting one of my very best friends with my hair styling – I was a little nervous to get my locks done after she moved to NYC. And that’s even after knowing how talented every stylist is at Eddy’s. I’m very, very picky about my hair and about color.
No visible «streaks» or «highlights» for this gal. It has to look natural – like it wasn’t purposefully «done.»
Well, thank goodness for Eddy’s and thank goodness for Mandy. She’s taken over many of my friend’s clients since she moved to NYC and we’re all in extremely qualified hands! Don’t get me wrong – I very much miss Breanna, but Mandy kicks ass at color and totally went above and beyond to make me happy/​comfortable/​not anxious. She is now my go-​to gal for all things hair and she should be your’s, too! Well, that is if you appreciate great hair and talent!
I’m OBSESSED with pumped up color, cut – everything. My hair looks much healthier, happier and it’s so wonderful to know that I’m in great hands with Mandy. We chatted the whole time non-​stop and it feels like all the hair planets have aligned again! I cannot recommend her enough.
One suggestion? Make your appointment a couple of weeks in advance! I know guys are used to just springing on a hair appointment last minute, but most gals will tell you to get an appointment with someone really talented – some advance notice is required. This isn’t Best Cuts, mmmkay? IF you’re a guy, it might still be easy for you to get a last minute booking, but ladies – if you’re looking for color, please give your stylists the same respect you’d want – give them some notice and call in advance! I make my next appointment when I pay at the counter. You can always reschedule it. Just do it.

I loved my haircut here! And it was much cheaper than expected. I will be back!
My boyfriend visited soon after I did and was surprised to be tended to by EDDY HIMSELF. He had a good experience too, although he didn’t see the free cookies.
