The Grand Oaks Inn, located in the oak-​studderd rolling Sierra foothills, is reminiscent of a Currier and Ives Print. The architecture and lushly landscaped grounds shaded by ancient blue oak trees evoke the feeling of an English country inn. This 1100 acre estate sits quietly in the middle of California wine coutry at the gateway of the Mother Lode.

Weddings

We have wedding packages for everything from a large garden wedding to intimate indoor ceremonies.

There are five guest rooms. Those not assigned to the wedding party may be booked by your wedding guests.

We are located 20 minutes from Lodi, and Galt, approximately 30 minutes from Stockton and Elk Grove and about 40 minutes from Sacramento. Our objective is to help you create a memorable day in a tranquil, stress-​free environment. We offer many resources that add to the ease of making your day perfect.

The use of the inn is dedicated solely to your wedding and wedding guests for the weekend; your event becomes a uniquely unforgettable shared experience.

AMENITY

Each room is richly and tastefully appointed with a distinctive motif that features pricesless family heirlooms. Luxurious linens and cozy robes are just a part of the pampered feeling you will experience.

History

Established in 2001.

Host/​owner Joe Mehrten grew up in what is now the inn. His mother was a master gardener and much of the beauty of the lovely grounds is due to her love of gardening. Surrounded by magnificent oaks, It is located on a quiet country road and is part of an active cattle ranch. The Inn is furnished with antiques from both his and wife Ann’s families.

Your hosts operate the cattle ranch on which the inn is situated. Both have traveled extensively and owned a tour business which led historic based tours both locally and abroad.
