Salon Gaboa

I’ve moved to Florida from New York and have been to many salons/​stylists. Valmira at Salon Gaboa is the absolute best! She has a great, upbeat personality and does an amazing job with my hair. So happy that I found her. :)
I would highly recommend Salon Gaboa and Val.

To start this off: I haven’t had a decent hair cut in years. The «stylists» I’ve previously visited have done such poor jobs that I resigned to cutting my own hair for the past couple of years. However, I wanted more than a small trim this time, so I figured I would seek out a professional to chop off 4~5 inches of hair. I called Salon Gaboa and they booked me with Brandy the following day (at a very early hour on a week day — which was by my request, I don’t know about how fast you can get appointments at more «popular» hours).
I went into the salon and it was very trendy and clean. The woman at the front desk was taking numerous calls, but found the time to offer me a beverage (coffee, soda, water — the standards) and alerted Brandy I was there. Brandy finished her previous cut and walked me over to her area.
She sat down and let me explain what I wanted before she started anything. I briefly went over the style I had in mind and she proceeded to wash and then started the cut. Even with my poor description of what I wanted, she managed to cut my hair EXACTLY how I wanted it and thinned it out a bit (but not too much) and later styled it perfectly. I didn’t want to wash my hair for the next few days because it looked so amazing.
The cut and blow dry cost a total of $ 50 before tip, which is fairly reasonable on a woman’s cuts. I 100% recommend Brandy to anyone looking to get their hair done.

After my long term stylist decided to retire I have been to multiple salons and had some of the worst experiences. Either the stylist couldn’t execute the asymmetrical bob I was looking for or they didn’t listen to what I was trying to achieve. I have been cut, burned and left to come home and even out my own hair with a hand mirror.
Thankfully, I now have Mike! He was very easy to talk to, actually listened to what I was looking for and gave me a perfect cut.
Finally, I am leaving a salon loving my hair!

I recently got my first haircut with Oliana. She was GREAT! So experienced and personable. I love the cut. She gave me exactly what I was looking for. I will go back!

Nice, clean place. Friendly staff. Pricey. Similar look and feel to Salon West (only real difference is that Gaboa can actually cut hair).
I can be picky and difficult, but Lee was patient with me. I had a hard time describing what I wanted but she figured it out.
It’s more expensive than the salon I previously went to. My cut and color at Gaboa was $ 120, excluding tip.
I’m going to continue to go and likely make it my regular place.

Superb job on haircuts, Oljana is great and knows exactly what you ask. I went to the same barber for 10 years and going to someone new is not easy, however they made it easy and inviting. Prices are a bit expensive for a man, my haircut is $ 25 prior to tip. However her attention to detail is great, I have been here multiple times now and will plan on many more. My suggestion is to give them a try!

Vasko is the best stylist I have ever been to! He takes the time to actively listen to what you want and delivers! He makes sure you are 100% happy before you leave.
Pembe gives one heck of a pedicure! And their customer service is first class!

My husband went to the same hairdresser for ten years. One day she decided to move to another state. For about 6 months we tried a few salons hoping to find a replacement to start a relationship with. No success until now. We made an appointment ahead of time and told the receptionist of our expectations before we felt confident to make the appt. so day of the appointment we arrive 10 – 15 mins early only because we had been out and about before. This place is next to a pharmacy in a small plaza. When you walk in the receptionists greats you with a refreshment of your choice.(never had that treatment before). It’s really pretty/​modern inside. I love the décor. We sat for about five or ten so minutes until the hairdresser was finished with another client. She walked up and greeted us both so politely. My husband told her all about what he wanted done etc etc… I sat looking around the room watching the other stylists. Everyone was so polite and paid attention to every little detail in the cuts and styles! The hair dressers are very patient and take there time to reach your desired look. I seen a few people come out transformed. They had color and cuts and they looked like a million bucks. But anyway now that this review is two pages… I could not compare my experience at this salon with any other. This salon goes above and beyond. They have our business for life.
** I haven’t cut my hair in five years and since my boyfriend has been coming here and getting such great detailed service, I have decided to come and have Oliana cut my extremely long hair to a bob. Unfortunately she is very busy and I won’t get in for a month. But I am super excited because she is the best.

Salon Gaboa is one of the best salons in the area. Ben and the other stylists do a great job delivering exactly what their clients are looking for. The salon is hip and trendy and they keep up to date with the newest styles and products. Everyone is friendly. I had a great experience when I got my hair cut here and would likely come back again some time.

I go to Sarah for my hair and she is amazing. She just always knows exactly what I am looking for without having to say much. It’s always exactly what I had in mind. She is the best.

I’ve visited Salon Gaboa two times now and had a great experience both times. Vosko does a fantastic job — I’ve had a nice, precise cut each time, and he always makes sure everything is perfectly in place before I walk out (even if that means cutting just a liiiiitle bit more off of my bangs when I realize they’re slightly too long). I’ll be back!

If you’re ever in the Clearwater area of Florida, I highly recommend you pamper yourself at Salon Gaboa. They have an friendly and knowledgeable staff and they are always on trend. Some of the most known celebrities in Florida frequent their salon, and for good reason. You’ll walk out of their feeling like a million bucks!

Salon Gaboa is my favorite hair salon now.
They serve men and women but I can only vouch for the men’s side. The service is corteous and relaxing, the hairdressers follow your directions and do not force anything on you. On my 2^nd time, they already knew exactly how I get my hair cut which was very comforting indeed. Professional quality is very high, my haircut is trickier than average and it’s been done impeccably.
Interior and the setup is modern with distinct european influence. All eqipment is, in my amateurish estimate, top notch, new and up to date. Everything is clean and sparkling.
Now to the spirit of the place. Unlike most hair salons I’ve been before, the atmosphere in Gaboa is very warm and inviting. Customers and staff joke, smile and laugh a lot.
It seems like everyone working there are friends or family.
