History

Established in 2010.

Rising Lotus has been serving families in Pinellas County since 2010, specializing in safe, effective therapeutic massage during pregnancy and private infant massage lessons.

In 2013, Rising Lotus expanded to include birth doula services, labor coaching, and holistic pregnancy consulting. We have since served families in local hospitals, birth centers and home births. 2015 brings even more, with placenta capsule supplements and natural maternity care products.

Melissa L.

Business Owner

Melissa E. Loera has been a licensed prenatal and family massage therapist since 2010, with advanced training in massage and acupressure during pregnancy, labor and childbirth. In 2013, she earned certification as a childbirth doula through the Madriella doula training program.

She has experience with hospital births, birth centers, home birth, Cesareans, inductions, water birth, Hypnobirthing, the Bradley Method, mothers over 40 and mothers who have experienced sexual or birth trauma.

She is a proud member of The Tampa Bay Birth Network and active in the Clearwater chapter of ICAN, the International Cesarean Awareness Network.
