This hotel sucks dick. They wonder why they don’t have many customers. Want to know why maybe be blood on my pillows and shit stains on my couch. The only way I would consider staying here if it came with a rope so I could hang myself from there ugly ass balcony. That’s right I would rather kill myself then stay here. This hotel sucks dick and smells like Asian asshole. Another reason why this hotel makes me want to hang myself is because my blankets fell like foam

Folks, I travel 300 days per year and have never been treated this badly. After a very long night dealing with spring breakers hammering on the wall and knocking on my door at 1:44 am, I wanted to speak to the manager. I was excited to speak to Michael so he could hear what I had been through with my 10 month old. He come out to greet me with this fake condescending smile and angrily says with a smile on his face «did you threaten to hold us hostage». I was shocked and asked «what?» He informed me he didn’t appreciate me threatening to put a bad review about his hotel. What!!! You’re worried about this instead of the fact my baby was up all night because you allow underage drinking and drugs in your hotel ??? He then started accusing me of lying and I had to send my wife in. I left shaking mad and will tell a million people my story. Mike was the rudest and most unprofessional manager I have ever met. For me to say that, you can take it to the bank. I have been on the road for my company for years. Stay away from this jerk and his hotel!

I stayed at this resort — NOT A RESORT — for 2 weeks, leaving last Sunday. It was the worst place I have EVER stayed at and I take 6+ trips/​year. The general manager, Michael, made a VERY nasty comment when I checked in, noting that the previous management staff had given me a very generous per night rate. It was embarrassing, humiliating and certainly got my vacation off to a rude start! At one point during my stay, I ran out of toilet paper around 4:00 in the afternoon. I called the front desk and was told housekeeping had left for the day. I WAS OUT OF TOILET PAPER!!! They finally did send someone over but their first comment was unbelievable!
Regardless of what you are paying for your room, and how nice the room is, there are too many competitive places in the same area that treat you with respect! I would NEVER let my family or friends stay at this place!!!

Hotel is decent for the price. Rooms are somewhat updated and large for the whole family. Pool area is small in comparison to the pictures. About a 10 minute walk to Clearwater Beach. You’re able to use the amenities at the Quality Inn across the street, which isn’t as nice. Beach area is very small. I’d recommend the hotel for those on a budget.

Suites have either one king or two queen sized beds. Pull out sofa. Two TVs. Bring food you have everything you need to cook your own meals. Room was very clean but carpet needs to be replaced. Pool area is nice, complimentary pool towels provided. This is a non smoking hotel but people smoke at the pool there were ashtrays out for them. Beach access across the street, didn’t go there but other reviews say it’s small and crowded with no chairs. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Booked this suite well in advance on
so the rate was reasonable. Check in was a breeze. I think this would be a good place for families to stay, but for great beach access drive or take the trolley. Check in is at 4, we got here at 3 and there was a room available so we took it. There are 4 buildings, 3 overlook the pool from the balcony, the 4^th the parking lot and side of the building next door. Free coffee, water and cookies in the lobby. Beds and pillows comfortable. Did have a couple of loud mouths in the parking lot around 2AM but you get that type of thing even at a 5 star hotel. All rooms on 2^nd or 3^rd floor be warned there are no elevators. I would recommend this hotel to others.

Stayed at Coconut Cove for two days and I don’t understand the negative reviews. Staff was professional, rooms were remodeled and clean and beach was in walking distance. I booked through a popular online booking website and when I arrived my reservation was not in their system. A couple of people had this problem that day. After a few calls, it was rectified. I would advice everyone who is booking online to call the property and confirm that the reservation was received. That could have been a bad situation if they were completely booked. The kitchen is stocked with everthing you need to prepare a meal (except food). New appliances and very clean. Bathroom is newly remodeled. We had the king bed with pool view. I prefer a softer bed but it was adequate.
There are a few things you must know up front:
1. No elevator
2. IT’S NOT BEACHFRONT PROPERTY. (but the beach is in walking distance)
3. $ 10/​day parking fee
4. No breakfast.
Other than that great place to stay. I’ll be back.

Nice accommodations by the beach. Get more real estate for the price in the area. Staff is very friendly. Was there for bachelorette party and was enuf space. Room is big and pull out couch too

Nice room at a great off-​season rate. This is a slightly odd property located away from the beach and kind of mid block. Since most of the other hotels in the area are beach front or closer to the beach you could be disappointed if you didn’t do your research.
Staff was very nice and the overall experience good.

As far as I’m concerned, this place is an overpriced party motel. Lots of suspicious activities happening between the walls of each room. I’m not going to be surprised if a raid happened. If you respect yourself, you would stay away from this establishment.

I have written and rewrote this review in my head every day since leaving this resort several days ago. Although this is one of the most beautiful and fully equipped accommodations we stayed at it wasn’t without flaw, mainly trust issues. Read on…
To say I was upset when we arrived was an understatement. I was furious and our entire first night in Clearwater was spent in a foul mood with us trying to find other accommodations. Reason being is because after spending a week in Orlando at the theme parks, fighting crowds, being stuck in traffic, waiting in huge lines for food, restroom etc, and dealing with other people’s screaming and whining children all we wanted was to relax. When we booked several months in advance we would told by hotel staff that this place had a private beach, directly across the street, that they share with their sister hotel. What they failed to tell you is that you have to walk across the street, past 2 huge condo buildings, thru an Ihop parking lot, up a ramp, thru an outdoor bar and down another ramp only to be greeted by what I would call a sandbox — a 10′ x 60′ patch of sand, filled to the rim with people, located between two loud outdoor bars blaring country music and filled to capacity with intoxicated people. I would not consider this a true beach, especially when it’s located in a channel, with land in sight, no waves, and no shells. Not my idea of a relaxing time after spending a week in Orlando. The real beach, Clearwater, which they claim is a 15 minute walk away is realistically a 40 minute walk, add another 5 minutes if you want to go to Pier 60. They lied plain and simple and I have a REAL problem with that.
I also had a problem that they charged my credit card 2 days before we even arrived. And after speaking to several people at the tourist booth in Clearwater Beach was told that this property was one of the most expensive properties in the area. For the money a private beach should be a real beach, not a sandbox situated between two honky tonks.
Another major problem I had was there were no elevators, none, nada. You had to lug your luggage thru the pool area, thru 2 safety gates, thru a parking lot and up the stairs. Our 3 suitcases weighed about 50 lbs each and it was 93 degrees the day we arrived, the last thing we wanted to do was drag ourselves up three flights of stairs only to be greeted by a room that looked nothing like the website. Another negative. I immediately went to the lobby and spoke to management about the beach, lack of elevator (didn’t see that advertised or mentioned anywhere) and they did move our room to one with a breakfast bar, but it was in another building, so we had to lug everything back down, then back up, this time to the second floor in another building as there isn’t any 1^st floor units.
I was so disappointed and irritated by this whole situation I made a comment on their Facebook page as I did and still do feel deceived. They took it down even though it was honest and well written. In other words they went out of their way to hide that I exposed the truth.
As I sat in the lobby complaining about inaccurate information they continued to tell incoming folks the same thing they told me!!! At this point I didn’t even know if we would stay in Clearwater at all. I didn’t feel like lugging chairs and beach stuff on a bus to get to a real beach and I certainly wasn’t even considering their «private» sandbox. Fortunately an incoming guest familiar with the area that had overheard my concerns stepped in and suggested Sand Key, a quick car ride across the bridge and a $ 5 fee, but better than nothing. This woman was the savior to our Clearwater beach vacation. Thank you Amy, wherever you might be!!!
Once I accepted my surroundings I did found the place very spacious and comfortable. Clean upon entry however the sand we drug in on day one only accumulated throughout our several day stay as housekeeping didn’t vacuum on a daily basis. The trash cans were limited and undersized. The kitchen was equipped with service for 4 people but lacked some basic kitchen utensils — a strainer, pizza cutter, ice cream scooper, pizza sheet, and steak knives are some of the items we did without. The pool area was clean and decorated very nicely, however the music they played stayed on well beyond 10pm on one of the nights until I called the office and «reminded» them it was still on.
Looking back maybe I over reacted and took their statements too literal. It was a nice place but to sum it up if location and a real private beach is important to you stay elsewhere. If you are able to overlook the fact that they lie about the amenities go for it!

Stay away! I travel to this area for work at least once a month. My usual hotel was booked and my travel agent booked me 3 rooms here. Two weeks before the trip, rooms opened up at the other hotel and my travel agent canceled the reservation and based on their cancellation policy we should not have been charged. Not only did they charge all the rooms but they then charged another random amount. I had my travel agent fight this and was told that everything would be credited. The next month only a partial amount was credited and we were told that they made a mistake and they would credit us the next month, this step repeated multiple times. I should of just called AMEX to stop payment initially but based on the hotel and my travel agent, I was led to believe I was going to receive the refund. Now the manager is saying that while my travel agent cancelled my reservation, I called and booked my own room. There is no way in hell this happened as whenever I travel for business my travel agent books my hotels for me. If this is your only choice in the area you are better off not going unless you don’t mind liars and thieves.

I stayed here with my husband in December of 2011 and we enjoyed our stay. They had just reopened and had a great price for a long stay near the beach. The décor is beautiful and the location is a walk to Clearwater beach and all the restaurants. The condo-​style rooms are vacation-​style apartments with the living room and kitchenette in the front and bedroom in the back. This is very nice since the balcony faces the AMAZING pool area! There’s a waterfall on one side of the heated pool and beautiful lounge chairs and gorgeous landscaping. Sunbathing there in the morning didn’t feel like I was at a hotel, it was like a tiny resort. I was impressed with the front desk service when our AC decided to stop on our second-​to-​last day. We told the front desk that they would need to check the AC after we left and were offered to move to a different room immediately, even though we said it didn’t matter since the weather was so nice. Downside, couldn’t find an elevator, didn’t ask. We didn’t care at the time.
The downside is that it’s a slightly longer walk to Clearwater Beach and it has an agreement with the hotel across the street for guests to use their beach facing the main land area.
The upside is that the trolley goes right by you and takes you anywhere. Everything you could need is within a 15 minute walk or 5 minute drive. GREAT diners and beach restaurants with booze nearby with drinks as big as your face. You’ll want to walk back after having fun at the beach and see everything. Also, the prices are great for such a beautiful place.
