Absolutely Divine Catering

My daughter hired Absolutely Divine Catering. We paid the bill so I figure I should be able to comment about it. The food that was chosen should have been fantastic. Unfortunately it was cold. We received our food right after the wedding party. The tenderloin was cold and very, very red. I thought that it was not supposed to be so raw because of under-​cooked food issues. When tenderloin is being served to almost 200 people, there should be different levels of doneness. I asked for a more cooked piece and the server said it was all like that. Broccoli was cold (no warmth at all). Furthermore, the company did not offer any salt or pepper. Sorry, the broccoli was not that good unseasoned. Finally, my spouse complained. The caterers said they did not expect it to take so long until the food was served. They do this for a living. They know that most weddings do not run as timely as planned. They could have kept the food in warmers until the serving started. The caterers offered to put some sterno under the food. By that time, half the people had been served. By the time the food wouId be warm enough to eat, the service would be over. I vehemently do not recommend Absolutely Divine Catering for a wedding or any large party. Their refusal to take the blame for the cold food or to offer a solution immediately was Absolutely Abysmal.

I went to an event were she was catering and it was absolutely worth the drive.
I mean I don’t drive to a different city to go to events but sometimes there is no other way and when the food is great it makes up for the hours of travel.
I would hope other catering companies would be as good as she is.
I must wonder why there are only this few ratings about her.
And the one star rating for not responding to a online request shouldn’t even be here. Unilocal your filters are off again.
If I have to give an event in that city of yours I will absolutely order your service.

Very responsive. She’s a single person business so scheduling can be tight.
Though I did not end up using her service I figured she deserved balance after the other person who didn’t use her service left such a crappy review.

For catering they are great! It has been a few years since I have used them but when I did they were great! The food was excellent and the staff was friendly and easy to deal with. They answered eMail’s at all hours and very promptly. I wish them the best.

Used this caterer for my wedding, who let me down on several fronts. Just days before the event, I met with her at the venue so all plans seemed set. In lieu of a regular wedding cake, I was supposed to receive her own specialty tres leches recipe cake and, at the event, Sam’s Club tres leches cakes were laid out; we told caterer directly that we did not like Sam’s Club tres leches. An oven at the venue was promised, but instead my husband was asked to go home and get our microwave. The wine/​beer ran out way too early, after specifically requesting that there be plenty extra on hand than the norm. Friends went out and purchased more. The caterer had decided to go out of town for our event. The service staff was excellent and friendly, and the food and chocolate fountain were good (except for method of heating). We had a lovely event and all guests had a great time, but the cake incident was exceptionally disheartening for me.

We hired this company for our wedding and it was a big mistake. The communication was terrible, she would never call us back, only e-​mail. She would consistently not answer all the questions that we asked in e-​mails, but write back one sentence. Her tone was often unprofessional. When we finally spoke with someone from her company he mentioned that he picks up for the food from a church (he said this several times, it was strange) and that he never has any info about an event until he shows up. He also seemed to have no idea what he was talking about. It was scary, we were worried it would ruin our wedding.

the price was good… food ok… but the service was horrible! I used them for my wedding I would not reccomend them. Unprofessional servers and bartenders. Poor planning on the Caterer’s part too.
