Old Stone

If no stars is an option… I would totally give this place no stars! We went in on Saturday 12/​21/​2013, and it took ten minutes for the waitress to even acknowledge our presence, mind you, there were only 3 tables filled in the restaurant. Our waitress was probably one of the WORST I have ever had in any restaurant at any time, and seemed like a rude ticked off teenager who was unhappy on the fact that she was working instead of partying with her friends. We were in there for at least an hour and a half total… which is at least double the amount of time we should have been, and the food was terrible… everything lacked seasoning of any kind, and water has more flavor. When this place first opened, it was good and I thought it had the potential to give Papermill Place (similar restaurant that is a haven for old regulars who only want their own kind walking in the door), but it has gone severely downhill and you couldn’t pay me to return to it. This place is a total dump!

The Old Stone Diner is part of an Exxon station out on Martinsburg Pike. Previously, the diner served as a horrible, horrible Bullets fast-​food restaurant. Having been a prior patron of the Bullets, I took my time trying Old Stone when it changed over.
Honestly? I wish I never waited.
Forget the fact that it’s part of a gas station!
Mind you, it’s not high-​scale food by any means; however, the food is genuinely delicious and well worth the price.
The service (again, Bullets = Bad) was actually quite a surprise. The waitstaff was very courteous and strived for customer service.
If you’re driving Route 11 and/​or I-​81, you may want to stop in and try it out. You may be surprised what is in store for you.
