Swiftwater Fitness is the only show in town so I had high hopes for a great fitness center. It’s owned by 2 guys, one sort of friendly, the other one barely gives you the time of day. It has the potential to be a great work out center, but there’s room for improvement. Pricing is relative to what you get. Decent quality equipment, although it’s old and barely/poorly maintained. Everything is dirty — old dirty & stained carpet, weight area floors, bathrooms, equipment, furniture, etc. Feel like I had to shower after leaving, not from sweating but due to grime & dirt. It’s always hot. Gyms are supposed to be on the cooler side so when you work out you are relatively comfortable. The temperature was always so high I was sweating before starting my work-out. There are surveillance cameras everywhere, pretty creepy feeling like you’r being monitored while trying to have a private, quiet work-out. On the plus side, the the fitness instructors are super friendly and experienced, the facility provides towel service, a nice plus and they are open 24⁄7 with part-time staff during peak days/hours and they have a board with upcoming activities & recipes of the week.
