Shawna makes an outstanding cake.
I was give Shawna’s name when our original cake person couldn’t fill our order. I panicked a little until we met her. We (my daughter, her fiancé, his mother and myself) loved her and her work. The cake tasting was so much fun to mix and match the cake flavors with all the different fillings.
The groom made his selection of Chocolate cake w/​the best peanut butter filling ever! The bride made her selection of Almond cake w/​again the best raspberry filling ever!
What? A Naked Cake? I had never heard of such a thing until last year when my daughter said that’s what she wanted for her wedding. I couldn’t visualize it. Once I was educated on them, I fell in love. Some look rustic others are delicate. It’s a genius alternative to heavy fondants and overly sweet buttercream. (Don’t get me wrong fondant and buttercream have their place on a cake)
Shawna’s Naked Cake for me was a perfect pair of delicious cake and tasty filling. The look was rustically perfect.
Shawna accomplished cake for 300 people staying within my budget. Well done and worth every penny.
