We love this place! Consistently good and servers are friendly and fast. Burgers, salmon, chicken fingers or anything in between… you can’t go wrong!

We stopped here on New Year’s Day, and enjoyed everything about this place! Food and service was great. The Hazit Burger demands a big appetite and plenty of napkins!

Really like this place! Had the shrimp and grits. Outstanding! Wife had Parmesan Haddock. Also very good. Service satisfactory but seemed they were understaffed for Saturday evening. Portions very good. Prices maybe a little too high for area but atmosphere very good.

A local restaurant at the edge of Clayton’s history downtown main street. Décor is just as quirky and as eccentric as the name and sign itself. Not sure what theme the owner was trying for. Just a variety of art work thrown on walls, 3D art work of a fish, a painting of fields/flowers, and a massive train mural down the corridor to the bathroom. Just by looking at the place itself, I was kinda under the impression that the place was going to be more of a casual restaurant rather than a restaurant that serves a 20 – 25 dollar plate for dinner. I was a little taken aback looking the menu and price. Ordered the artichoke dip as appetizer and the seafood platter. The dip was good and portions are fit for a table of 4. Again, the portions of the seafood platter was massive. I shared that with my boyfriend. Overall, the food is decent. Portions are good for the price. Staff and service is decent. I’d come back.

Saw the reviews for the Grouper Reuben so naturally I had to order it. Absolutely wonderful. Great flavor; nicely prepared. Also shared the fried green tomato appetizer. Likewise delicious, although I am not a lover of it. Only complaint. …the grouper came out before the tomatoes. All in all a wonderful meal in Clayton, Georgia.

Seemed like a fun place as I sat at the bar, experiencing trivia night. The paint scheme throughout the place makes me think of Jamaica, in a drinking rum, Jimmy Buffet kind of way. Only a handful of beers on tap though, and the food seemed a little pricey for the atmosphere although I didn’t try it.

Came here on a Sunday and it was great! Fried pickles hand battered in house… fantastic. The most outstanding item hands down was the Grouper Reuben, 86 the cole slaw and Add the sauerkraut!

Great restaurant. My daughter had the children’s shrimp and had more than enough food. Great Reuben!

Between 3 and 4 stars but leaning towards 3. Came here on a Sunday for brunch and did not have to wait. Overall was a pretty good restaurant, which there was some more diversity for actual lunch entrees other than salads and sandwiches. Pros: Nice staff Nice location Beet salad & crab bisque Decent: Crab cake, not sure about the sweet and sour sauce that was served with it — I was expecting more of a creamy remoulade. Cons: Fried green tomatoes, the fried batter wasn’t crispy, and oddly enough the dish was served with melted mozzarella cheese — I was not a fan of this. Also came with balsamic vinegar which was strange, would expect a creamy sauce served with the dish, if any at all.

Tried this place recently while visiting Clayton. It was good. I had the grouper Ruben which was recommended by other Unilocalers. It was extremely good. I would order it again! My dining companions had the all u can eat crap legs. They said they were good, but not best they had ever had. We also had lobster bisque. It was not as good to me as another Unilocaler said, but I prefer a creamier bisque, this was thin and a little greasy. All in all… a good option for a small town.

Found this place to have mediocre, over-priced food. The beet salad had an over abundance of arugula, dressed with a very acidic vinaigrette. Also, it wasn’t really tossed; most of the dressing was in a puddle at the bottom of the dish. The chicken salad sandwich was dry. Cuban sandwich and lobster bisque were tasty. We were astonished to get 3 separate splitting charges without being warned by our server.

What a nice find. We went off of Unilocal reviews and decided to give it a try. Service was great — it wasn’t busy — non the less she was attentive and sweet. Limited children’s menu but the chef made our daughter grilled chicken. The trout was very yummy and the mashed potatoes were sooo good — real for sure. Loved the herbs growing all around the deck. Nice wine list and the atmosphere was inviting and relaxing. Would come back if we visit the area again.

We went here when the crowd was down but the quality of service and food was not. Service was an easy 5⁄5. The quantity and quality of food was perfect. Huge portions that neither of us could finish and we had to take with us. Everything was seasoned well, nothing to overpowering. Overall a very good experience and if I’m ever in the area again I’ll probably stop by. The only downside was the cost, a little on the high side but then again the portions are large.

The grouper reuben is the best! Really worth driving an hour for this sandwich. Been many times and new management is strong. Neat bar and other food is good and consistent.
