Kabot G Michael, DDS Orthodontist

I originally started going her about 25 years ago. I was about 4 when I recieved my first retainer. I went here for 15 years and always had a great experience. Dr. Kabot and staff are great. I will now be driving a distance just to take my son here.

Hands down the best Orthodontist ever!

I have been seeing Dr. Kabot on and off for 5 years. Today I called and had a huge problem (one of the front teeth of my retainer had fallen out) Even though the office was going to close in an 1 ½, I was told to come in and they would fix it. I arrived to a very busy office and the staff took great care of me. After an hour I left with my teeth fixed at a reasonable price. Great doctor and great staff.

Based on recommendations from my friends at work we took my son here for an evaluation.
I thought they were more like sales people than orthodontists the way they try to sell y ou this or that, and talk up their ‘technology’. It’s braces, we don’t need long sales pitches or placebo technology pep talks!
Nevertheless, when the final estimate came it was between 4000 – 5600. They couldn’t actually give an exact figure and that is a HUGE spread! They wanted a large up front deposit, and over $ 200 a month in payments after insurance! Despite them admitting my sons treatment was pretty mild. I called them a few days later and requested a more accurate quote. They seemed ‘annoyed’ that I wanted an accurate figure. The lady on the phone left, came back and said «The doctor said just plan on $ 5600…». REALLY?
We decided to get a second opinion (very wise) and went to Dr. Mahmood in Clawson. After the evaluation she said it would be $ 3500, no down payment, and $ 50.00 a month after the insurance pays what they pay. My son is already half done with this treatment, and we have paid most of it off already.
At this point I would actually discourage people from using Dr. Kabot, and avoid their car salesman type of tactics.

Can I give ten stars?
According to my dentist, Dr. Kabot is THE orthodontist that fixes teeth that other orthodontists messed up. Yes, he is that good. He is worth the distance you will drive. We drive 40 minutes to get to his office, passing dozens of orthodontists on the way. I’ve met people in the waiting room who drive an hour to get to him.
My kids actually look forward to going. (I can’t say that about my orthodontist when I was a kid — I dreaded those appointments). The entire team, all the staff members, are kind, pleasant, relaxed. Dr. Kabot is amazing with all his patients and makes sure that the work is done right. He makes a tedious chore seem like fun. Even surly, grumpy teens will break into a smile here. And at the end, their smile will be beautiful.
You only have one mouth. Take it to Dr. Kabot to make sure that mouth has the best smile possible.
