Bartender provides horrible service. Put me on hold for 5 minuets when placing my order. He told me 15 mins, I showed up after 20… waited for him to help me for about 5 mins, he checks my order. walks back by me and continues to make drinks. I asked if my order was ready and he said oh 5 more mins. I left.

Really good food all though the services could use a little work. Over all the good food does make up for the lack luster service.

Went on a Thursday for dinner. Got seated right away. Sat down and was immediately given a basket of chips and 3 salsas. Each salsa was good. They came and took our drink order. Not sure why it surprised me, but there was only 1 beer on tap, modelo. It’s a small Mexican food place, not a bar. So I ordered a corona bottle and was happy. We placed our order and it seemed like it took a long time to get the food. This is the only reason I can’t give a 5 star to this. The waitress checked in on us a couple times and she was surprised we didn’t have it yet. She did her part so I wasn’t mad about it Finally got out food and it was delicious! I had the number 2 enchilada and burrito. I probably should have taken a little home with me because I ate way too much. But it was worth it. I recommend!

Nice little place in your in the mood for Mexican dishes. Friendly atmosphere, attentive staff. The fajitas were very good. The prices are decent and service is fast which is great when you have a toddler. She loved the kids quesadilla and the beans. Like most Mexican style restaurants they serve chips & salsas for free. They had a couple different salsas, and some sort of guacamole type dip. Portions were plenty, had enough for lunch the next day. Great for a quick family dinner.

Pretty good food, nice atmosphere, friendly service. Nice place to grab Mexican sit down. Enjoy that it’s a chill place, easy to get in and out, with full bar. Good prices. Stop by in the neighborhood, and judge for yourself. Would recommend, for pretty decent meal and value.

Have been here numerous times. However, the last few times the service and food has been ok at best. Today, my husband’s rice and beans were cold yet the Chimichanga was hot. Had to send the lunch back. The wait staff was no where to be found. No water and had to literally track down the waitress for a refill on our soft drinks. Not once did anybody ask if the lunch was OK or if we needed anything further. No apology for the cold lunch as it was merely whisked away and brought back a few minutes later, placed on the table in front of my husband and the waitress silently walked away. Unbelievable. I will not be back., Every time we go there there are no familiar faces in the staff which explains a lot. Too bad.

One step above Taco Bell. Just meh. Bland food, small menu, poor décor and atmosphere. Just take the few extra minutes it takes to get to Sagebrush and you will be glad you did!

Hubby had been here a few times before/after skiing at Pine Knob, so when he had a craving for ‘real’(read: not Taco Bell) tacos, we headed here for lunch. Male offspring was just having a bad day, so while his taco(meat and cheese only, no lettuce) looked fine, he wouldn’t touch it. His loss. I ordered a combo #1, but I really think I got something different. I expected a taco and a burrito, but I think I had a taco, enchilada, and a tamale. It was all still yummy :) Hubby got the tacos he was craving and will finally be able to stop thinking about them. I did love the chips, and mixing your own salsa ‘blend.‘ I’m sure we’ll be back.

This is more traditional Mexican food, so if you’re expecting the Americanized version this place isn’t for you. I was aware of this but was still disappointed. The queso fundido had the consistency of water. The enchiladas verde were pretty good. The butterfly shrimp were really over garlicky. Service was fine. I will go back; they have great margaritas and I’ll just stick to the enchiladas.

Ooh man, really bad the last time we went. The fajitas were without flavor. Too bad, I at least got copious veggies. My son’s chimichanga was gross — cheese on top and then soggy under. He didn’t touch it, just layed down and cried. This food is starting to look a lot like the«before» view from Kitchen Nightmares. Too bad.

I can’t tell you from authentic but it was pretty good, the price was decent, and the portions were large enough that I made three meals out of my two burritos. Horchata was a little sweet, but it’s always a good sign when a restaurant has it. The rice was bland but I guess that’s rice’s job. The place was busy and our server was a little slow but she had back up – I think we had five different people stop by our table.

The food was okay… they got my order wrong but I don’t care too much. They asked me if I wanted jalapeños in my burritos, I said yes and then they didn’t give me any. they put them in my husbands food although he didn’t want any. I asked for no tomatoes and got tomatoes. The service wasn’t exactly friendly but also not rude. It was awkward for some reason. The rice was bland, chips were stale, wet burritos were okay, beans were good. Try to find a better place to eat if you’re out this way.

2 takeout dinners without beans, they gave us beans anyway. The rice & beans were packed separate, from tacos and burritos. The rice & beans were thrown away, they mixed together(beans make me physically sick). The tacos were average, the burritos weren’t as good as taco bell I don’t like beans, and I don’t go back to places that get my order wrong.

Must have driven by 100 times and never noticed Jalapeños, however in the mood for Mexican and not wanting to drive to our usual Mexican spot in Lake Orion we did a Unilocal search and read their reviews decided to give it a try! We were very pleased we did, the whole family enjoyed their meals including the 3 types of salsa all family friendly in heat levels served upon being sat. Their menu did lack vegetarian opinions but they had no problem honoring my request to sub meat for beans. We will definitely return and look forward to try out their cocktail menu.

Pretty good Mexican. Like there green salsa a lot. Its extremely close to where I live so i go every now and again. But there are other Mexican places I like much better and will drive further for. But if I don’t fill like the drive then this place will do.

Finally some decent Mexican food in the suburbs. This is the only authentic Mexican you can find without going to Pontiac or southwest Detroit, it’s nice to have right down the street while I live out here. I’m just stoked that they offer chorizo tacos and they actually have cilantro on them served in corn tortillas. Delicious.

I’d give this place 3.5÷5 stars. We originally were going to eat dinner at Clarkston Union before a concert at DTE last night, but the wait time was an hour and fifteen minutes(!) and so was Union Woodshop, so we packed ourselves back in the car and drove over to La Jalapeño’s. [shouldn’t it be EL Jalapeño’s? no? /end nerdy question] I got 3 chicken tacos with a double serving of rice, since I don’t like beans($ 9) — fair price for dinner. My friends got all sorts of entrees and we all enjoyed them. The salsa is maybe THEBEST I’ve ever had, because I am very picky about salsa, and it was sweet-tasting. Chips are decent. One thing that was a little iffy: two of my friends ordered the margarita special($ 3) and these HUGE ones came out. Turned out later the special was smaller and those were $ 7. I will say the waiter kinda/sorta made it right, I think he took the bills back and charged them $ 5 instead when they asked about it. Waitstaff was friendly but service was pretty slow, I had to always ask for water refills. I’d come back here again before a DTE concert!

This place offers good authentic Mexican food. The interior is nothing fancy, but the food is quite tasty. Their chips are fresh and come with a few different salsa options. We dined here with a friend who grew up in Mexico, and she said that the food was very delicious and also quite authentic. They do offer American-style tacos as well as the Mexican-style tacos, depending on your preference.
