Brick It Up specializes in LEGO-​based educational and fun activities, such as afterschool classes, camps, customized or themed birthday parties, open access play, and more!

We have a 2,200 square foot facility geared toward LEGO fun! We have separate themed areas for our DUPLO, FRIENDS and PRINCESSES, robots, and even quite possibly the coolest LEGO racetrack ever — the Brick It Up Raceway!

Brick It Up also hosts Open Access Play, where you can stop in to experience our offerings firsthand before signing up for our ongoing classes and camps. Another popular offering is our Parents’ Night Out; you can drop off the little ones for a safe, fun evening of play while you can enjoy a little time to yourself. Really, it’s a win-​win!

History

Established in 2014.

Brick It Up started as a joint venture between Gary Bruce and Ben Taylor as a way to help fill the demand for fun, educational activities for children in the Oakland County region. They worked with multiple licensed teachers and college professors to come up with a well-​rounded, STEM-​based, LEGO technology curriculum — this was done in efforts to further the education of local children in a fun and entertaining manner. They then began to offer other Brick It Up activities, such as birthday parties, Bricks for Business, and more!

Meet the Manager

Gary B.

Manager

Gary is the operating manager of Brick It Up, and he oversees the daily activities and planning of our facility. He will be your guide to Brick It Up fun. He has extensive experience with engineering and education, and draws on this to make your experience with us something much more than just playing with some LEGOs at home.
