We are a full service veterinary hospital, offering services ranging from vaccines and annual exams, professional dental cleanings and surgery. We also offer cat boarding options as well.

History

Established in 1992.

Starting off as Independence Township Animal Hospital located in a strip mall in 1992, we have since evolved into a Advanced PetCare of Oakland — a full service practice providing sound veterinary care for all pets. Our practice has moved into a beautiful building across the street in 2007 adjacent to Camp Bow Wow Clarkstron.

Business Owner

Dr. Cornwall is recognized for his complex diagnostic and surgical skills. Prior to opening his hospital in 1992, Dr. Cornwall practiced at other Detroit area veterinary and emergency centers. He graduated with high honors from Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1989, where he received awards for excellence in clinical and surgical skills. Dr. Cornwall also received the Ziegler Caring Award as selected by his classmates. He is an active member in the Southeastern Michigan Veterinary Medical Association, Michigan Veterinary Medical Association, American Veterinary Medical Association, and the American Animal Hospital Association. Dr. Cornwall is married, has two daughters and four cats.
