Such a cute place with a great outside. We did Mother’s Day brunch but it was just a little too hot on the lawn with the bright white tablecloths.

This place never disappoints! Been here multiple times and the owners are great and the wine is great! Would recommend to anyone!

What a beautiful setting! Visited the winery for the first time in late March and decided to become a member. The wines are tasty but the service is amazing! As a member you are allowed to taste for free and are invited to special release parties. Additionally, you are allowed to reserve the Rose Garden for private events for free. I dealt with Jeannie in reserving the Rose Garden for a May 1^st baby shower for a good friend of mine. Jeannie and her team were very accommodating and a pleasure to work with. Jeannie was in constant communication with me over the details and on the day of the event she was very helpful! Overall, the event was very successful and all the attended were impressed with all aspects. THANK YOU JEANNIE!

Miner’s Leap Winery may be your first or last stop while touring wineries in the Sacramento Delta /​Clarksburg wine region. Their facility is conveniently located off South River Road on the way to Clarksburg. Like most places of the levee roads, the driveway comes up fast so be prepared.
The winery has a small, open tasting room surrounded by a nice garden and patio area. This has the added benefit of open air tasting without standing in the sun or rain. The tasting bar can quickly become crowded as groups arrive for tasting and wine club pickups. They only had four wines on the menu on my visit, although most of them were pretty good. Many of the options were sourced from outside the region for more variety.
Their location tends to overwhelm the rather small facility making an intimate tasting experience very difficult, although most people just bought a bottle and head to the patio. This rushed experience may turn away those looking for a traditional wine tasting experience. Fortunately wine helps make everything better!

This is an absolute gem! Please make it a point to visit this winery.

Miners Leap is the place to be. closest full service winery to Sacramento. It is very dog, children friendly and everyone is greeted by name. It hosts a variety blends of wines that are spectacular with quality they bring in to the winery. They will
be hosting music at their new venue in 2016.

This was the first winery I visited on my first trip to Clarksburg. Super cute, inviting, and friendly atmosphere.
Tasting is $ 5 and goes towards your bottle (should you choose to do so). My friend and I visited on a particularly generous day — we got our tasting for free even without purchasing anything. The employees/​owners were very knowledgeable and helped point us in the direction of other wineries in the area.
Perfectly manicured grounds with lots of greenery to sit outside and share a bottle of wine with some friends. I’d love to come back and hang out when I have more time in the area.

Stopped by here yesterday on our way back from The Old Sugar Mill. This was a darling little place. We would have sat out on their gorgeous patio if it hadn’t been for the wind. The setting out here is superb. I will definitely be back when the weather is warmer. I hear on Friday nights in the summer they have a food truck. It would be the perfect place to unwind after a busy week. The staff was very nice and not stuffy at all. Will be back!

I decided to go to Miners Leap Winery because I received an invitation for an evening with live entertainment, catered food, and new release fall crush wines. Who in their right mind would turn an offer like that down?
The Sony Blues Bland provided the live entertainment, and the food was catered by Sandra Dee’s BBQ restaurant. It was a beautiful fall evening to enjoy this event under the stars. Sandra Dees was serving chicken, chopped, pork and tri tip. Naturally I chose the tri tip, which I thought would go well with a bottle of Miners Leap Res Ipsa Red.
The Res Ipsa red wine is very jammy and complex. It paired nicely with the BBQ tri tip.
The bouquet of this red blend was very full and the balance of tannins were delightful. I love the linger this wine left on my taste buds… warm and well rounded… there was a taste bad party going on in my mouth. The band was also very entertaining. I happen to love R & B, with preference for the blues. And Sony blues Bland plays some real Kansas City style speakeasy bluesy blues. real Kansas City style speakeasy blues… all in all, this evening at Miners Leap turned out to be just what the doctor ordered.

I love this place. If you want to go wine tasting with some friends and stay away from all the overcrowd, overdone wineries… go here. This place has some great outdoor seating with beautiful landscape around and some great fresh air to enjoy while tasting your wine. The people that work here are extremely friendly and make you feel like your walking into a friends backyard to relax for the day. the wines are tasty, and not badly priced either. I think $ 5 for a tasting is pretty reasonable. I also didn’t mind having to pay it up front. I think the wine sells itself. after paying, i tasted 4 wines, had a sample of sangria, and immediately feel in love with there sangria. we all ordered a glass and sat outside to drink and enjoy the day. The staff brought over some crackers to enjoy with our sangria… very nice of them. We all ended up buying a bottle of wine and taking it home to enjoy.

Stopped by on a Saturday afternoon during an impromptu tour of the Clarksburg wine region. Beautiful grounds, gorgeous tasting area, clean bathrooms, and fun music playing. We also loved the misting and light breezes that kept us cool.
Tastings are $ 5 per person for 5 tastings, and is collected up front. Bad move on their part — now they have no way to upsell me a bottle as we leave. No way I’m taking out my wallet twice! 2 whites, 2 reds. The lady pouring offered absolutely no wisdom about the vino, but was eating an Otter Pop as she poured and let us know that she’d gotten a job here a couple months after coming out here for a tour. She was helpful in directing us towards all the other wineries in the area — advice we paid heed to after tasting the wines.
All of the wines trended on the light– to medium-​bodied and acidic range; probably better for food pairing than drinking, though none of them particularly stood out. At ~$ 30 a bottle, absolutely none were even worth the tasting fee discount.
Might come back for the Sangria, but not in a rush for a future tasting. Worth a stop, but not a trip.

So glad I stumbled upon this place! I heard Heavenly Dog was going to be there on Father’s Day. So my husband & I decided to check it out. Wine & gourmet hot dogs sounded great! Great outdoor seating area! Great music! Great sangria! Great pinot grigio! Definitely a cool place to relax & enjoy some wine/​sangria. They are family & dog friendly, too. I will definitely return.

While the grounds were lovely, the pouring staff were poor. $ 5 for 4 tastes is a bit pretentious for their wines, but OK, let’s roll the dice. But then you ask for the money up front?!? Even a prostitute delivers the goods 1^st.
The gentleman began our tasting with the Chardonnay, not the lighter white, Albariño, 1^st. Why? «It was closer.» Oh, and it was room temperature. Boo!
The lady pourer caught the gentleman’s mistake and took over. Having gleaned that our group just came from a winery up the street, she asked (before pouring the 2^nd taste) «Are we more fun than (other winery)?» Um, no. The 2^nd white was… room… temperature. WHAT ARE YOU DOING?
Oh, and Miners? If you’re going to do tequila shots at the tasting bar, you should invite the guests, otherwise take it to the back! Ms. Poorer the pourer got so excited by the exclusive shot, she poured wine all over the bar and 1 of my friends. Which came 1^st? The clean-​up/​apology or the shot? OF COURSE she took the shot 1^st.
The reds were ok. The repartee never got any better.
There are plenty of other wineries.

I really wanted to love this place — so much so I went there five times to try and have a better experience. I give it two stars for the delta ambiance.

Though their website lists happy hour/​wood fired pizza from 2 — 7 pm on Fridays, and their email blast lists it as 4 –7 pm, it turns out it’s from 5pm on, so for two tastings and two glasses of wine we paid close to thirty dollars. When I asked about the happy hour time discrepancy it was explained to me that it is «A HAPPY HOUR!»
Explain that to friends you’ve invited. Also, tastings are $ 5 each — are we really there yet?
The wood fired pizza was disappointing as they were missing two out of the five toppings offered. We got the veggie garlic pizza — looked like it was on a tortilla with white sauce and some mushrooms. I didn’t want to ask about the pizza as the bearded fellow who sold it to me was gruff.
The location is AMAZING. The setting is lovely. I’m not satisfied with the service, and definitely not the food. The last few times i’ve been there, the music has drowned out the conversation as well. I really hope this place improves, it really would be a great treat to visit — as I had really hoped today.
On a sidenote, one of the guests was playing music on a speaker plugged into his i-​phone at one of the tables… Who does that at a winery, especially one that’s already playing music?

Cool place to stop and sample some local wines.
The atmosphere here is great, right off the road and convenient but also feels like a neighborhood farm. You can hang out on the grass or at the nice tables, or just at the wine bar. The view is great as are the people pouring; very friendly and thoughtful people here.
It seems like it could be a good place to picnic or hang out for hours. Bring a dog or a kid or two. Drink wine!

This is a secret gem! We happened upon this place enroute to another and have been back several times. (We never tried to find the other place after finding Miner’s Leap ;) The wine is fantastic and so are the people and atmosphere. It’s kid friendly too, plenty of room for the kids to run while the adults sip. Lily the pot belly pig is great too!
The atmosphere is very welcoming, several outdoor tables with umbrellas, decorative plants, etc. make you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. There is a lot of free parking. Every afternoon we’ve been there a football game is on the outside tv prompting you to just take your wine, sit and stay a while.
All of the servers are friendly and very knowledgeable on the wines.
We’re so happy we found this place!

I was lucky enough to attend the event at Piatti’s a couple weeks ago and met Stephanie from Miner’s Leap. After chatting with her a bit I found out about ladies night at her winery. Naturally, I had to come down and check it out!
I brought my four legged family members and wandering the grounds checking out their great booths with everything from jewelry to organic and vegan lotions to chairs made out of old wine barrels?! They had a DJ playing some nice tunes. There was plenty of seating. They were offering yummy and light salads accompanied by a glass of wine for $ 10. I decided to skip the salad and go for a bottle. I remembered the Delta Breeze II and Zinfandel from the Unilocal event, so I grabbed a bottle of the Delta Breeze to drink and a bottle of Zinfandel to take home.
After grabbing some wine we went over to the beautiful patio to have a seat and enjoy the atmosphere. Stephanie came over to make sure that we had enough shade, brought us a bucket of ice to keep our wine chilled and gave us some background on the winery and surrounding wineries. She is such a great host! I just love the fact that Miner’s Leap is such a family and pet friendly location! Sometimes it can be challenging to combine classy and friendly, but they have done just that! This place is beautiful, comfortable, friendly and most importantly, they serve GREAT wine!

We were on our way back from the Old Sugar Mill and turned into this place at the last second because it looked like it was still open – at 530 on Saturday. I still don’t really get why wineries close so early so I was happy to see this place still serving.
The gentleman working was super friendly and not pushy. He said he would stay open until everyone left, he was in no hurry. He was very informative and we chatted about everything from the property to family. The setting was beautiful – all outdoors but with plenty of heaters and seating. The only downside I would say, is that there’s only a porta potty, but it was very clean.
They are both dog friendly and kid friendly, which is nice to know if we want to have a little family picnic. It’s really nice that they’re off the beaten path and super low key. There were several groups of people sitting in various seating around the grassy areas and fire and everyone hanging out was friendly, maybe the snobs of the wine world got the memo not to come here!
We did the tasting and got the $ 5 credit towards the bottle of wine we bought. The wine was really good, and the samples were decently sized instead of the tablespoon some of the other wineries gave us hours earlier.
Will definitely return to Miner’s Leap, it was a great experience.

We’ve driven by here many times and seen it get bigger and prettier and more popular… figured it was finally time to stop in and check it out for ourselves.
The tasting area is set up on the back patio of an old barn, which is actually a pretty nice setting. There are a bunch of tables and chairs around heaters and a fire pit as well — you don’t have to stand around at the tasting table, you can go kick back with your wine and take in the surroundings.
There are currently six wines being poured: Albarino, Pinot, River’s Edge (blend), Cabernet, Red Ipsa (I think it’s another blend), and Zinfandel. The albarino was pretty unremarkable, but not bad at all. Definitely drinkable. The Pinot has an interesting smoky flavor to it… I couldn’t decide if I liked it or not. I thought the Zin was a little too sweet for my liking, but both blends were very good. I especially liked the River’s Edge.
Tasting fee is $ 5 per person, refunded with a purchase of course.
Friendly pourers, lovely setting, and good wines. I recommend!
