Grand China Buffet & Grill

Very large Chinese buffet. Eight different food bars, as well as a sushi counter and hibachi grill. We came on a very busy Saturday night. The food, although typical buffet food, was kept fresh and stocked well. The sushi bar was quite well presented.

I didn’t care for this buffet. They had seafood mixed throughout every station which is not appealing to I someone allergic to seafood. Even on the dessert table. Yuck. Servers pick up their tip before we left the table. I guess they thought we might change our mind. Won’t be returning.

That was exceptionally disappointing. Food was sub par. The best thing was the green beans and that is not saying much. The sushi assortment was laughable and the cooking station had disgusting darkened meat waiting to be used. As an out of town customer, I would absolutely choose a different place to dine as there are many options in the area. I regret this decision. I should have listened to some of the other poor reviews.

Like most places around Clarksburg, they are going down hill. Haven’t been here for awhile and now I remember why. The one thing that I loved (old bay shrimp) that they have, barely can eat it now. Won’t be back unless my little girl wants to go there.
Update: after eating there last night. The nasty old bay shrimp taste is still in my head, how gross! Have to downgrade it to 1 star. Never plan on going back again.

Love this buffet my wife and I stop here every time we come through here. The food is fresh and service is good.

One of the best buffets I have been to in my life great staff and quality food even at 10pm.

I love going here for their sushi and salmon in particular. It is a nice buffet with a large selection of various foods. The employees are friendly. The prices are reasonable. It is definitely one of the better places to get Chinese food in the area.

A group of people were cursing like sailors near us, we brought it to the management and they said that we were free to move but refused to say anything to the to the offending party. We confronted the cursing customers, who apologized and left promptly after. We had two small children with us, and another family with kids nearby thanked us. After We spoke to management, and they sited freedom of speech and said that anyone was welcome to say anything they wanted in the restaurant and they would do nothing to stop them. Food is barely passable and more than once our server has smelled like they hadn’t showered in a week. What a dirty place.

my husband and I have lived in several states and are somewhat traveled. We moved to west Virginia 13 years ago and loudly advocate this is the best chinese buffet we have ever encountered. There are 8 buffet tables a sushi counter and a Mongolian barbecue. They are always busy and therefore food very fresh. Don’t miss this place if you are traveling up or down i79. When guests visit us they insist we take them there.

Average Chinese buffet. Not many vegetarian options & even though it said open til 11 on the door, there were several empty pans on the steam table that never got refilled during our stay. I never saw them bring fresh hot things out & it was only 9. Is business that slow on Wednesdays? There were about 20 tables dining when we were there. Service was attentive, but they dropped the check before we were done eating & I don’t take a long time to eat.

Some things on the bar are great, some things are not edible. For the price you can not top this place! I find more than enough things that fill me up. All over your standard chinese buffet items, plus alot more.

I’m probably judging too harshly due to my Chinese blood and … just the plain and simple fact that I’ve grown up on authentic Chinese food. I’m going to give them props for the price though! We paid $ 9.99+tax for dinner and I heard lunch is $ 6.99+tax. Ten dollars for an all you can eat Chinese buffet in Clarksburg, West Virginia? That doesn’t sound half bad to me; especially if you don’t mind fast food chinese kind of food.
Everyone who works here is actually Asian :) Service is good. I found the «make your own noodle dish» station to be the best food. It’s similar to Ghengis Khan and Mongolian noodle stations in all the mall food courts. The meat didn’t look as freshly frozen (that sounds odd) but it tasted fine. They were missing hot sauce though! Where’s the sriracha sauce?!
I found everything else too salty for my taste. This includes the salmon, the egg rolls, and the chow mein had too strong of a soy sauce flavor. They had a wide variety of foods though. There was a salad bar, cold pasta station, pizza and fried foods, chinese soups, hot chinese food section, and a dessert bar. They deserve some points for having frog legs and every other meat on the planet. Chicken, pork, beef, you name it.
I ended the meal with a handful of their almond cookies and some vanilla ice cream on a cone. Not the best chinese food i’ve had but I left full and would come here again — the choices can be limited in Clarksburg.

OK, better than many of the other buffets I’ve been to. This place does a brisk lunch business. Straight back chairs. Fairly quick service. I can usually find something to eat. There is a Mongolian barbeque station in the back, and for those that are interested in lo-​cal/​low-​fat this is the best option.
But keep in mind, it is «what it is», a «Chinese Buffet», there will be some stuff you don’t want to try, and I usually steer clear of the dessert kiosk.
