The original flower shop — a Scranton floral institution — was started by Bud and Nancy McCarthy is 1952 as a typical ‘mom and pop’ store. It was while Bud and Nancy were busy running McCarthy Flowers of Scranton, their young son Brian McCarthy was in the background — quietly learning everything he could about running a florist.
In 1987 Brian McCarthy purchased his parent’s flower shop and became one of the most successful floral retailers in Scranton, Clarks Summit, Dunmore and the country. Today, the 4th generation of the McCarthy Family florists continue to work hard to provide high quality arrangements at unbeatable prices.
