you need to try this hidden gem and support this local business. as soon as you walk in the aroma is intoxicating. you know the food will be flavorful and a taste bud adventure. pizza or burgers it is not. I lucked out and he had oxtail soup one time I went in. best soup I’ve ever had. I have tried most of the menu, and it’s always been top shelf in flavor and quality. do not forget to try a meat pie. grocery stores have them, but not like these. I could live on just those alone. I hope people catch on, and he stays around a long time. this is something you don’t normally find in this area. big bold flavors, something different, a culinary treat. 5 stars all the way

My first time eating at Sunshine Cook Shop and it was AWESOME! I had the oxtail with rice, beans and fried sweet plantains. The food is full of flavor and the service is excellent. I recommend this place to everyone, you’ll not be disappointed.

GREATVALUE — BETTERFOOD! We visited the Sunshine Cookshop after we smelled the food while visiting a nearby antique store down the road. Luckily for us, it tasted as great as it smelled! We ordered the Jerk chicken and Curry chicken as we didn’t dare venture too far out of our comfort zone on the first try. Both meals were packed with flavor, fresh, and delicious! We unfortunately didn’t get the owner’s name but he is a Jamaica native and was very friendly and generous. He also mentioned that his Ox tail is one of his best sellers, and we are looking forward to the many future visits where we will try the rest of the menu. Hands down, one of Claremont’s finest.
