We were very disappointed at the meal we recently had at Ramunto’s. The garlic knots tasted like they had been pulled from a freezer and not served very hot either. The ‘mixed green salad’ was iceberg lettuce with the ends of romaine heads(the good parts saved for Caesars, I’m guessing) and cucumbers that had clearly been kept too long. The brick oven pizza was passable, at best, and the«pesto» chicken penne was more like an Alfredo sauce with a little basil. The only reason I’m not giving this review a single star is because they had a decent beer list.

Lively, family-oriented, location of a small New Hampshire chain in downtown Claremont offering full service dining. The beers on tap are limited, as are the reasonably priced wines. From the menu which includes pasta and sandwiches as well we shared their Greek Salad which looked and tasted fresh and the house specialty Garlic Knot Crust Pizza, which we enjoyed and whose crust was not greasy(unlike the garlic knots we tried). The servers were quite busy, but consistently friendly.

Awesome pizza! Even though we came in late(about 30 minutes before closing time) we still had friendly service and were not made to feel like we were unwanted or had to rush. Service was friendly and the food was really good.

Pies are okay, and you get huge slices for a reasonable price, but every time I have eaten there I have gotten sick. Not sure what it is, but the food is also just okay, not great. Plus the garlic knots used to be incredible back when mut’s was only in hanover, but now they pre-make them and re-heat(still usually cold when you get them) and have been soaking in their grease all day.

The Pizza was SPECTACULAR, but I felt like they were under staffed. Our waitress was covering half of the resteraunt, so our service was fairly poor. We had to wait nearly 20m for the check.

The food is pretty darn great, but they really need to step it up a notch on the service. It’s always understaffed and the servers work way too hard. I’ve had several hot food orders served to me cold before. I keep going back because it’s so delicious, but I always find myself hoping something dumb like that doesn’t happen every time I step foot in there.

I was very disappointed with my latest experience at your establishment! Some of our food took an extremely long time to arrive. I do not really understand how a plate of nachos and a calzone take 20+ mins longer then a well done burger! When the calzone was finally delivered, the interior was just warm at best! When the food was packed togo at the end of the meal, they could not even bother to put a paper in the box before putting the calzone in. After 5 mins the bottom of the box was soggy. I would like to say our server was really nice and felt bad about the length of time it took for some of our food!

I have tried just about everything here. Their pizza is unquestionably the best in the area. Their menu has plenty of other things to tickle your fancy if you don’t want pizza. The overall ambience is also very nice.

Fun place with a decent beer selection and good almost great pizza. I get it that it’s trending to put bbq sauce on pizza, and buffalo chicken but sometimes you get the sense that place who serve pizza that way don’t really know pizza. This place is an exception, the pizza is well built as in it is not«flatbread» thin and it’s not doughy mess you tend to find around the country. My one major criticism is that the sauce is too sweet and it really comes through on the plain cheese pizza. I was with a group of seven and two large pies was plenty and the place is a bargain.

To be honest, coming from someone who grew up in the NY/NJ area it is hard to find a good pizza place in Northern New England. Nothing can beat NY/NJ pizza for excellent quality! In Northern New England, I’ve eaten at a number of places. The only ones that come close to what I’ve experienced in NY/NJ would be Raimunto’s. I’m not saying it’s perfect, but it’s good for the area. So if you’re looking for a place to get a decent pizza come here. Also, I loved the inner décor! Very charming!

Great atmosphere– in a nice old building with good decorations and brick walls. We went on a Monday night when there was trivia going on at the bar– which is very open to the whole restaurant. This could be annoying for some people but we thought it was cool and had fun reading the questions on the tv. The food was pretty good although the menu slightly boring. We didn’t get pizza but the table next to us did and it looked good and was HUGE! Meatball sub was very good. Good beer selection.

Went to the New rumuntos on Washington St. Management was disorganized. lots of people standing around. Hanging lights blocking views of the TV, that’s coming from my eight year old. The food was ok but very pricey for what you get.

This place does not have a full bar I used to work there. Also, the guest is not getting what they are paying for, they are lowering the portions and upping the price. Not at all like other ramuntos

Being a native Long Islander going here was automatic. For years the pizza here, although pricey, was the best pizza you could get outside of New York. In the past year the pizzas have been getting thinner and thinner at the bottom. I know it’s thin crust but this is way to thin. Last time I ordered was the last time I will ever go there. The pizza was so thin and crispy it tasted like it was deep fried and truly disgusting. My friend got the Cattleman’s sandwich. For 9 bucks it was the saddest sandwich I’ve ever seen. Two pieces of roast beef, a shot of BBQ sauce and a ton of lettuce. I called back to infoorm the staff how bad it was. I was told«Sir, it’s NY style pizza, it’s suppose to be thin.» I replied«I’m from NY and this too thin, this is just using as little dough as possible.» I was then put on hold and after 10 minutes I gave up. I know Cliff said he Guarantees you’ll love it, but if it’s bad they do nothing for you. It is pretty clear that they are doing everything on the cheap. Sorry Cliff, your pizza is horrible. I for one warn people not go here, and I will never return.

Just a terrible experience. Masses and masses of families with their kids, we sat at a 4 seater because we didnt want to seat at the awkward out of place two seater near the counter. We both noticed a family came in 10 minutes after we arrived, ordered after we did, and our food came 10 minutes after theirs arrived. We ordered drinks and our drinks stayed empty. The food was sub-par, greasy and bland, and my friend complained his burger was cold and over-cooked, and the waitress never asked HOW he wanted his burger cook. A party of 10 moved in to three tables next to us and carried on, and our waitress ignored us to take their order. It was about 10 — 15 minutes after we were finished, empty drinks, empty plates(not mine, I couldnt stomach it), and waiting when I finally stood up, walked to another waitress and said ‘We’d like our check, we’ve been waiting for awhile.‘ And frankly, I don’t blame her. The feeling I got stepping into this place is that management are cost cutting; I felt like the server staff were over worked, under paid, and it shows on their faces. They’re rushing around to accomidate a family friendly venue with very very little help. And the fact we were ignored is no suprise, my waitress gave a very rushed, very tired ‘was everything alright, would you like to take that to go?‘ So my advice? Hire more servers, stop cost-cutting where it counts, and stop being greedy; Or expect bad reviews(not from myself, because I won’t be back) in the future.

My husband was really excited to show me this place after I moved up here; maybe it’s simply that he’s never been anywhere better, but I left with a lowered opinion of his taste in pizza. Especially because a large pizza, mozzarella sticks and drinks ended up costing us about $ 40. It was pretty average. The garlic knot crust didn’t really impress me. It was just okay. It’s not that it’s bad(for the most part.) It just isn’t anything special. The people who work there are nice; the food is okay. The prices are ridiculous, but that’s because I’m used to paying $ 12 for a large pizza, not $ 20. It’s a New Hampshire(or at least Claremont) thing, I think. I will say this: we got a hamburger pizza with no sauce that was literally the worst pizza I’ve had in my life. The worst. Hands down. I think we must have ordered the wrong thing or something — it was my husband’s choice and he likes hamburger pizza a lot — but they didn’t include the dipping sauce, there was almost no cheese, the beef tasted dry. Actually, the whole pizza tasted dry. Really disgusting. The restaurant itself is beautiful — an old brick building near the river with low lights, great windows and lovely views. The food is usually a little better when we eat there.(I don’t always get to pick the restaurant when we go out with other people.)

This pizza place was recommended to me by a coworker because I was going to be in Claremont. After visiting, I’m not sure why it was so packed… My boyfriend and I had to wait 20 minutes for a table, and ended up getting a wobbly one downstairs. The waitress took quite some time to come over to take our order, and FOREVER to bring us the beers that we ordered. We decided to share a chicken ranch calzone, which was good enough, but because of our wobbly table, half of it ended up crashing to the floor. Meh. I’ll GUESS go here again if I’m ever in Claremont(but probably only do take out). I do wish we would have tried New Socials instead.

This place is great. The building is beautiful, an old carpet factory that burned down at one point, with exposed brick and beam. The river room has a wonderful view of the sugar river. The food is fantastic, the pizza is what i come for, but the salads sandwiches and pastas are good as well. the wings and garlic knots are great apps. Awesome local beer selection, and the best management around. Recommendation: get the Wood oven Old World Pizza (thinner crust, house olive oil + light ramano cheese, and bed of tomatoes, fresh mozzarella cheese, fresh basil cooked in a high temp wood oven) — add Sausage and Caramelized onions. your mouth will thank me later.
