More than happy with my first visit! Loved that he was able to roam and play with the other dogs while he wasn’t the one being groomed!
I was able to make a same-​day appointment on a Friday afternoon; major plus being that I always seem to forget to make appointments in advance. Dropped my Ben off at 1pm and picked him up at 3! That is quick compared to what I’m used to. His cut is even and just the right length. I’m also very picky about my dogs eyelashes and his muzzle being short, many groomers disagree with my preference and ignore my emphasis on his short muzzle.

Wonderful and caring! Love that the doggies are allowed to interact with each other, the place is like a daycare. The haircut was perfect and my dog was very relaxed. Highly recommend this place!

I’ve been bringing both my dogs Rocco and Bo here for the last few years! today we had the opportunity of having I believe a newer stylist take care of my babies today. I’m so mad I didn’t get her name but SHE WAS AMAZING! my dogs are both poddle/​bischon mixes and sometimes are tricky to cut because they’re hair gets so crazy curly but when I picked up both my dogs today they looked perfect! She was so gentle with them and had such a sweet disposition which is a must for taking care of dogs. And she even put a little bow on them I wish I knew her name but she had a very sweet Spanish accent and dark long hair! I will definitely bring back my dogs to her. Thank you!

5 stars is not enough rating for this amazing business. My baby, Kershaw, was traumatized as a young puppy from a past grooming experience from petCo. I was very scared for Kershaws safety and happiness when trying to locate a much more loving pet grooming business. For a while I was very skeptical of every single business no matter how high the ratings were. I even purchased my own set of pet grooming tools and decided I would be grooming him for the rest of his life.
Hair of the Dog was recommend by my Partners customer at one of his local businesses. I then took the plunge and took kershy. I was on high alert, very scared.
I walked into the business and was surprised at the layout. The dogs were running freely, everyone was pleased to see us and very welcoming. The dogs are never forced to be groomed, they groom when they are ready and willing.
Hands down, Kershaw loves going to the groomers now and their craft is amazing. They call when there is a concern before making decisions. Very professional but more loving than anything. Once I remember Kershaws stylist I will make note of it on here. She has a nice Spanish accent and just LOVES my baby.
Also I should note that I love 40 min away and always make the drive to get him groomed every two weeks!

I love this place! Clean shop, great service and my pooch doesn’t get anxious coming here. The dogs all have good vibes while lounging around waiting their turn. The staff takes into consideration your concerns.

I take my puppy Summer here once a month and I have no complaints. The reason I feel very comfortable with this place is because they do not put the dogs in cages (they let them roam around) and also they are very gentle with the dogs. I was nervous when looking for somewhere to take Summer because I didn’t want her being handled too roughly anywhere because I know she can be non compliant at times, but Jamie here really is patient and kind with the dogs. They do the grooming out in the open in the front for all of the public to see and that’s another plus, so you really can see how they handle the animals kindly and correctly. It’s not even pricey. I plan on bringing Summer here often :)

Took my dogs to Hair of the Dog today. I like the open area for grooming and the no cage option. They did a great job on the cuts and my dogs look cute and smell good. Price is reasonable. They cut their nails, but they were a little jagged, so they should have filed them after. Also when I went to pay with my debit or credit card they said that they had to charge me a 1.00 fee and I don’t like that. I think when you’re paying for grooming you shouldn’t be charged extra for paying with your card.

Always amazing! My precious Sammy always leaves clean, beautiful and happy. She looks forward to her seasonal bandana after her grooming session!
The staff is great and so is their customer service.

Go to spot! If your looking for friendly, professional, and amazing work this is the place! I have been bring my husky here for 3 months now and I love it and so does he. He is always treated so kind and welcoming. I get his grooming done once a month for 35 and add extra for frontline. If I could afford it I would take him twice a month but unfortunately money isn’t always available for that

My favorite place to bring my fur babies. The girls are really nice and do a great job on both my puppies. They are constantly busy and have customers dogs roaming around their shop instead of being caged up! (Super cute)
You can genuinely feel the warmth and love which makes me a retuning customer. I never worry about my dogs being mistreated. If you are looking for a groomers give this place a try.

This place is WONDERFUL! I have a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and I bring her here to get groomed. I LOVE IT! hey are very loving and sweet to the dogs and they do a really really good job. Whenever I come to pick her up she is playing with the other dogs and looks like she has had so much fun. Her fur is soft and smells amazing. My dog gets alot of little knots in her fur and they get them all out.
Once in December I took her there and they put a christmas bandana on her — IT WAS SO CUTE!!!

I took my maltipoo to get groomed! She still smelled awful and she didn’t even get a bow or anything. Staff is nice… Reasonable prices…

So… I am Updating my review based on the fact that the owner contacted me to offer a solution to my and Minkes experience. I am very impressed by the fact that they took the time to do this. Yes she was left there longer than expected because I didn’t get the message that she was ready… I did get a 2^nd call and picked her up right away. The dogs were very happy no doubt and she was happy playing! Thank you for stepping up and offering to correct the problem! Great business saavy and excellent customer service makes a bad experience have a good ending

I have taken my Husky Kodah-​Bear here twice now and he always comes home looking so beautiful!
He is quite a bit to handle and I give them a lot of credit for grooming him for 3 hours. They will also dog sit for a little bit after grooming in case you can’t get there right away for pick up… It’s probably the cutest thing in the world seeing all the animals playing around with each other while others are getting groomed.
I would highly recommend!!!

The staff was friendly and accommodating and my (very hairy) golden retriever has seriously never looked better! Her fur is so so so soft and she smells lovely. The price was also extremely reasonable.
I was a little nervous that my girl would have some separation anxiety, but they said she did an excellent job and she seemed really comfortable with everybody there. She was even asleep on the floor when I came in to pick her up — that’s a great sign. Comfy enough to plop down and take a nap :)

Never been one to have my dogs groomed but when our golden with fairly long hair became matted and ragged looking we simply needed to find a professional to fix him.
Hair of the Dog came recommended to us by a friend. Our dog Shadow came away clean and smelling nice. So happy to have found this place. Have been back a few times now and will continue to use their services.
Also very pleased that they don’t cage my dog. The groomers are super nice and really love the animals the are helping.

I have been taking my dog Stogie here for about 10 years and I couldn’t be happier. Yes he is getting old!
Julie and her team are always very accommodating, freindly and do great work. I love the open air area where dogs (or thier owners) have a choice to be caged or not. Usually all of the dogs are playing or roaming around relaxing. My dog gets stressed out really easy and he has always been taken care of.
I would highly recommend HAIR OF THE DOG to anyone who loves their dog like I do! They also offer daycare and accessories. Overall a great place.
