This review is only for selling clothing to this store. It was the biggest waste of time and I would not recommend bringing anything here unless it’s vintage or vintage looking and/​or trendy hipster garbage. Out of three bag full of brand name clothing with some still having tags I was offered $ 5 for a cheap romper. I overheard the sales person tell another customer we don’t look at brand name just what’s in style like high wasted jeans and long flowy dresses. Just don’t wast your time here.

Been coming here for a while now. Friendly vibes although it seems like the workers are following you as you shop. It’s like damm let me breath!!! I sell and buy clothes here but honestly it’s not worth it. They claim to have trends and blah blah blah, they usually have sizes from xs-​m. rare if it a large and up, some of us have curves and bigger boobies. Let’s embrace ALL body types:) overpriced and some stuff can be ripped but yet expect the full amount. But it wouldn’t hurt to take a look!

The store itself is neat and clean. Staff is pretty friendly. The advertise that you can sell your clothes there, but good luck they RARELY buy anything even if you give them your best, brand new, designer with tags clothing and handbags they will turn them down. I understand they cater toward the hipster crowd but I feel like their business would benefit more if they tried to cater to other styles as well. Some of the young girls are really kind and explain what they need for the store but there is an older lady there that will give your items a half a** look and then tell you we can’t buy anything. No explanation. I was pretty put off. Anyways they really need to evaluate their advertising on buying clothing and consider catering to different styles other than vintage and hipster.

Absolutely love this place. I can always find a dress I can’t live without. Groovy, unique gift items and knick knacks. I’ve also sold to them a couple of times. A must visit while in Claremont.

Love this place! I always find the cutest stuff and the girls here are so nice and are always so helpful. I sell a lot here and even though sometimes they don’t take my stuff they buy really selectively so I understand.

I hecky love this place. I see authentic TUK creepers for like ¹⁄₃ of the original price and in good condition only problem is the people that got rid of them have smaller feet. they also have vintage style clothes for really cheap. Okay everything’s cheap for what it should be and most of it is in acceptable condition if not good condition. Their clothes are really cute, I wish I lived nearby so I can check every other day for new clothes.

I always come here to sell my clothing. I’ve sold here about three times now and each experience has been good. This is the only place I go because the staff is always super friendly and never make me feel badly about not choosing certain garments I’ve brought in like I’ve experienced at other stores.
I also love the selection of clothing they have in the store. It’s always hard not to buy things here.

I brought in about 18 pieces of clothing; dresses, shorts, pants, shirts. 8 had tags on them. They bought three items off me: used overalls, one dress new with tags, and a used dress for $ 13. I expected the workers (all vintage clothed young girls) to be rude, but they were very nice and helpful as to what I was looking for when I was shopping!
I would sell to them again.

It’s really easy to sell your clothes here. It’s also kind of fun to sift through the racks and find decent deals if you’re really looking.

Went in today to sell items that I have had stored up in my closet for agessss and finally decided its time to sell them! Pretty lady Dolores was very friendly and explained to me what they were currently buying and how everything works. The store was organized and they had so many cute items that catched my eye. I ended up selling a lot of my items and they gave me a reasonable amount of cash for it! Very happy with my visit today! Thank you lovely ladies for making my visit very pleasant:*

This place is decent. Yes, they are picky about the clothes they select, but i wasn’t surprised and it didn’t bother me much. The clothes were pricy for my taste, but it is in downtown clairmont, so, typical. Cute stuff and nice size range. They were fair on what they gave me for the two items they selected from my bag of clothes.

Nice store, clean and organized.
However, selling here is nearly impossible. Even if you give them bags and bags of your best clothes, they most likely will turn down the entire lot.
Waste of time.

Not much designer clothes. Marc Jacobs at best. They passed up on my awesome collection of high end clothes. I went in the other day and they have nothing but vintage hippie wear. Nothing really modern or chic here. I tried to sell clothes and they looked at all of them and didn’t manage to pick at least one piece. Then, rude girl had the nerve to ask me if I still wanted to purchase some items I thought I would at least trade. Not a friendly place or vibe. If they bought from me, I would buy and donate the rest of my clothes to them. Bad business here.

I love selling my clothes here! You definitely have to sell clothes that are in season and trending.
They sell previously owned clothing and shoes. They also sell new accessories and cute nick knacks.

If you are over 25 or above a size five expect to deal with ageism and size bias. Not a very interesting selection prices are blah

Super rude here! I went to take my clothes there because over the phone they said that they were taking seasonal things, trendy, and casual. I know that some people think that their clothes are clean and well taken care of, but my mine really are! They are ironed, and they look like new! The girl was extremely rude and only took four items out of my 20 item bag I brought and she gave me about $ 16 for it. I had American apparel items, free people, anthropologie, and forever21 and nothing. And when I asked, she kept interrupting me and telling me «no, sorry, nope we can’t take that» and wouldn’t give me a reason other than «it doesn’t sell.» That makes no sense to me when half of the items in there were from American apparel and I saw a couple items that had stains in their store! I wouldn’t give them any stars if I could! Never shopping there again, just because of the principle of it.

I love the items this place has. Very cool! I had my eye on a lovely Coach bag behind the counter. I was ready to buy if it passed my inspection. Unfortunately, I never got to inspect the bag. The girl behind the counter was busy, but I waited patiently because I know what it’s like to work in a busy shop. She never even acknowledged me. After she was done ringing up the 2 customers before me, she called another girl over to do the cashier work because she needed a break. I understand, but would it have killed her to look at me and say,“Someone will be with you in a moment.” ?
It’s a shame that good customer service no longer exists in so many places. Especially a place that has so many great items, like DeeLux. Please hire people with better customer service skills. I would really like to come back here and say I had a good experience sometime. I would happily update my review if I don’t get treated like I’m invisible.

Clothing targets college crowd but I stop in often for fashionable boots that compliment my vintage wardrobe.

I actually came here to look if they had any tuk creepers but instead I found a pair of Jeffrey Campbell Lita ($ 55) in white lace in great condition. There were 3 other pairs of Jeffrey Campbell that I saw around.
I didn’t bother looking at the clothes since they usually don’t carry my size, but I do like looking at what shoes they get.
I also got a jasmine roller-​ball perfume for $ 16.
They take card, the staff was nice.

We came in a Saturday to sell — we were expecting that it’ll be crowded. Newly weds here and needed make some and share our closet and I gained a bit of weight since our wedding day lol. Hey ever heard of «ah, I’m married, I can get fat now».
Anyhow, we dropped our bags off in the front when we were told that it was 30 – 60 min wait. Since it was a bit crowded the people who are selecting the clothes were a bit disoriented. They didn’t know who’s bag belonged to whom. So be cautious. I kept an eye out since I had a few expensive items such as Dooney, etc. but guess what? They didn’t select those and it was in good condition. I was kind of surprised on the items they selected and the items they did not. My branded names in great condition and vintage, they turned away (Dooney). The stuff I wasn’t sure would get picked (target maxi dress) got picked!
You be surprised.
