Claremont Manor Retirement Community

Claremont Manor is AMAZING! The place is like a hotel, the staff is amazing, the care is outstanding. My father went there after his hospital stay and before he was transported my mother went by for a surprise inspection. They knew who she was and knew my fathers name and updated her on the process. During his stay the care was beyond anything that I’ve seen or witnessed and it was so good that my mother decided that if she ever had to be at a facility she would also want Claremont Manor. If there was any issue, with staff or outside contractors for transportation to dialysis, they were on top of the situation. Nothing was hidden and any bad behavior by staff or contractor was addressed. My father died very peacefully around 1:30am about 10 days ago at the facility and you should know this — a nurse was with him. Why? Because they where checking him to see if his bedding was soiled. And we were notified within minutes. The staff was so connected with my father and my mother that they made a sad moment very peaceful and loving. I’m sending them a huge thank you!

I’m writing this to acknowledge the excellent service provided by the activities director, Terralyn Hamblin, at our recent event held at Claremont Manor. Terralyn went above and beyond in terms of making sure that our group had everything set up correctly, inviting and informing residents about the event, and providing staff to assist in the clean-​up and set-​up process. When we arrived, everything was exactly as requested, along with additional decorations, which were beautiful! All of the staff members were pleasant and helpful too. Thanks, Terralyn for helping to make our event special and beautiful!

Buyer beware**** my grandmother just passed and we found there have been thousands of dollars of jewelry missing. Just sickening

Competent staff and quality care. If you know what your looking for in a retirement community, I’m sure you’ll find this is one of the best. Recently moved my grandparents here and they seem to love it. Nothing is perfect, especially getting the family to all agree on a place for my loved ones. However this place makes it a little easier. Answered all our questions (and we had ALOT) not just in the beginning, but even after them being residents there for a few months. Overall we’re happy with the decision.

Nice place for independent seniors who don’t require care. The grounds are very well kept, the food is decent, the dining staff is terrific, and most of the other (non-​nursing) staff are very polite and friendly. But if your parent or parents need any sort of extra care (and who doesn’t — isn’t that why people buy into these communities in the first place?), you will probably find yourself at some point needing to find another home for your parent (s) and havng pretty much thrown down the drain hundreds of thousands of dollars. The culture of care among the nurses at «the clinic» is in desperate need of care itself. There are a couple of good eggs, but most emit a weird hostility and clearly do not want to be challenged by residents who actually need them and their attention. So if you want to spend hundreds of thousands of dollars to belong to an old folks’ country club, do it. But if you want to invest in your own or your parent (s)‘s future care in a place where residents are treated with intelligence and compassion, look elsewhere.
