Although my stay at Claremont Gardens was brief, I found our unit to be perfectly operational. It was clean and comfortable and everything worked without incident. The grounds are very well maintained and my transactions with the landlord were smooth. I found it to be an uneventful stay in the best way possible.(The only noise was the train, which I got used to pretty quickly.)

Hands down the worst apartment I’ve lived in. The floors on the second story are insanely squeaky so when a person walks around all you can hear is squeaking. The water for the shower is terrible. If some one else around you is showering then your water is cold. You can’t control the temperature of the water. It’s either ice cold or really hot. There’s a fan in the bathroom but does not work therefore causing mild to form on the ceiling. They have a pool but do not fill it up.

The 1st year I lived here with the prior owners, I loved it. My neighbors were very nice, respectable and friendly. There was a sense of community. The onsite manager was very helpful and did her best to take care of any problems immediately. She would even walk around the complex from time to time and speak to the tenants. By the 2nd year the new owner took over and that’s when the nightmare began. She was extremely racist. She would make racial comments. She gave certain minority tenants 90 day notices to move without reason. She did not have time to speak to the residents unless they were her personal informants. The property is supposed to be a gated community, the gates did not work and remained open at all times. The new onsite manager was her son, who obviously, had some kind of mental issues. He did not speak or respond to questions. There was a cloged sink in a neighbor’s kitchen due to the plumbing, the manager came with a plunger and a wet vac to suck the water out of the sink. The complex has a pool, that does not work and she stated she will fix it and have it open when«those people» move out.
