Discount Tire Store – Clackamas, OR

I totally recommend discount tire in Clackamas! The customer service and selection is excellent. I picked up a set of Michelin Defenders for my 1983 240D — they got me in and out in no time and did a great job mounting up my tires. They answered all my questions and were super friendly + the price was very good. Since then, I picked up a set of alloy wheels and they were more than happy to switch out the tires from the old steel wheels to the new alloy wheels for a very reasonable price. Discount Tire in Clacakmas is Awesome!

I am in discount tire right now with my grumpy father who is giving grief for no reason. We are working with Keith and he has the best customer service and has the patience of a saint. Thank you very much discount tires. I will be a customer for life.

This location has better than great service! I have purchased both sets of tires that I have here. I was extremely satisfied with the visit today. I went in just to have my tire pressure checked because the light was on. It was verrrry busy at about 11:30am. I thought for sure it was going to take awhile just to get something basic done. I was wrong. I was in and out literally within 10 – 15 minutes. And my light went off right away after they serviced it. I highly recommend this business for your tire needs & services!

Awesome staff and service! Came in with a leak in my tire and despite them being swamped I was back in an hour picking up my car. It was fixed and it had been done at no charge (I think there is a «first flat free» deal). I’ll be returning when I need to replace some tires in a few months!

So today I did my monthly tire air pressure check and I found a problem. When I got my tires installed the shop «sold» me (and charged me $ 5 – 10 per wheel) for the TPMS rebuild kits. When I first picked up the car I checked one wheel for this by taking off the valve cap and looking to see that the aluminum valve stem did not have corrosion on the threads. Today I noticed that three wheels have the original valve stems and one wheel has a new stem. The benefit of replacing these is to get a fresh seal between the aluminum of the stem and the alloy wheel. I also find that the aluminum threads only last about four to five years if you check and top up your tires every few weeks.
I now have to make another trip to this shop so they can install what the sold me — and they will have to almost dismount the tire to get the new TPMS rebuild kits put in.

I just wanted to say that I bought some tires today and a nice fellow named Brandon did a really good job. He was friendly, held the door open for me and others, and didnt try to rip me off, yet tried to get the best deal he could for me with the most information possible about the tires. Thanks Brandon! Oh and he fixed my tractor tire for free! Quick service service too, 45 minutes…:)

This shop is great. Jharette is very helpful and makes sure you get the order right. He came out as soon as I pulled in, which was 20 min before my appointment and already recognized my order. Since it was a slow Saturday morning they were able to get to my car right away. My car was lowered too with a staggered setup so Jharette made sure the tech raised the car properly and put the correct tires in front and back.
I’m from out of town and wanted to get another set of tires for my other car here for the discount. The tires didn’t make it in time but they offered to receive the tires and send them to my local America’s Tire store without charging extra for shipping.

Just my luck I get a flat tire while traveling through Oregon. Thinking I was going to miss my nieces fastpitch games Discount Tires didn’t let that happen. I was able to drop my tire off on a busy Saturday, have it fixed while at a game, and had it put on before heading to dinner. The guys that helped me were fantastic and I walked away really happy and didn’t even have to pay a cent. I might have been lucky with the people I dealt with but everyone working there seemed to look like they wanted to be there. I am grateful for Discount Tires for getting me back on the road and home safely (:

Found a screw in my tire after a LONG day at work and I called ADAM. We talked about getting a new tire but when I got there he asked to take a look at it. After a few seconds he said he could patch it and do it FREE OF CHARGE!!! WOW i was SHOCKED at the GREAT customer service I received and I will no doubt come here for ALL my tire service!!! THANK YOU ADAM!!!

I have bought several tires from America’s tire and have always found them to be fairly priced with a quality product. I always pay the few extra bucks for the extended coverage and have never regretted it. They fix my flats for free and rotate the tires at interval and I can’t even give them a tip. BUT the one thing they give me that I appreciate more than anything else is the friendly smiling service that I used to get at Les Schwab. they are always trying their best to give me the best deal possible

Great service. Great prices.
They have repaired my flat tire last summer even though I have never purchased a tire from them. Needless to say, I bought tires from them when I needed a set. Friendly staff, fast service.

I usually do not write reviews for places right away, unless they go above and beyond, and do something great in customer service.
Okay folks listen up. I went in to get my tire fixed. I ran over a pretty big nail at some point and had been riding on a spare for a day. I met with the customer service man and he inspected my tire, and all the others, to see what level they’re at. I already knew I am going to need new ones, but they had to see if they could even fix it, because once a tire reaches a certain level of tread, they can no longer repair holes. Luckily they did not try to lie and tell me that I needed to get new tires. I was at just the right amount to get it plugged, which is good because I am not ready this month financially to get a new set all around.
They guy I spoke with, which his name seems to escape me now, so please forgive me. I know I should have memorized his name since I am so impressed and all, but I am the worst for names. Anywho, this guy did show me that even with his higher end tire, it would still be cheaper for me to purchase a set there versus the dealership I got my new car from. The lowest end was 50 dollars a tire, and guaranteed for 35,000 miles. That’s pretty good.
Here’s why I will go back. They took my car in and fixed it in under 20 minutes. The guy who did the repair, a different gentleman, came out and informed me he would be pulling it up front for me, nice. Then I turn to the guy who I gave all my info to and asked what the total damage was, and you know what he says. «You don’t owe us anything Chad, it’s free tire repair here.» Yeah he called me by my name, lol. That wasn’t what impressed me though. He wants my business, so he just did that for me. I was already going to come back in a month to get new tires, before I trade in my car for a Jeep, because it was a good deal for the set of tires. Now though, they have a customer for life, and that I can guarantee.
Oh, and one more thing. The rims they have there are so nice and moderately priced too. There was this sick gunmetal black rim I loved, but I don’t want to invest in my car I am trading up, that ran for 99 dollars each, and another which was chrome and black for like 109 dollars each. That’s awesome! Just saying folks, do yourself a favor and at least go hear what they have to offer, if that’s something you’re going to need soon.

I’ve been coming to this American tires for years now and have all my cars serviced here. Recently I got a new set of wheels and I noticed a chip in the finish, a few days after getting them put on. I went into the store and with no questions asked, they agreed to get me a new wheel.
This store provides excellent customer service and are very professional. They went out of their way to get me the wheels I wanted and at a fair price. Also they spend the extra time to answer all your questions so you make an education decision. Thanks to all the staff at American tires!

I don’t know what to say here, because I was surprised by my experience, and not in a good way. They have been at this location for a long time.
First, I was going to give America’s Tire in Clackamas 2 stars … but I am giving them 3 because of the BENEFIT OF THE DOUBT factor, seeing all the other excellent reviews. Perhaps there was an anomaly of some kind that day. I will never know.
I needed a rotation and balancing for some OEM tires that aren’t THAT high mileage vis a vis the expected service life and have been rotated regularly and balanced at every other rotation since owning the vehicle. They look pretty meaty and the location of the tread wear bars indicates there is still life left. The surface of the tires was and still is fairly even across the width. I even bought a tire depth gauge because of this experience. They got too «sales-​y» with me and I didn’t like that. Duh — the edge of the tires never look as tidy, with all the hairline patterns in place, since those are the parts of the tires that see all the action when taking turns. Also, the outermost tread groove has a reading that is barely different from an inside tread groove. They did the rotation and balance when I resisted a new tire purchase almost as if to give me an incentive to come back and buy those Michelins with a very long tread life. Instead, I now have more reason to go to Costco, when I have been wondering if I make enough purchases to justify a Costco membership.
Two things prompted me to visit this America’s Tire store in the recent past. First, I once patronized them to put on a pair of replacement tires on a mid-​sized GM car my father owned of the RWD variety and with those pillowed velour interiors, making it a true living room on wheels. The experience was very low key, seamless, and fairly priced. Thus, I was impressed. The approach and energy in the store these days seems very different. Second, they are found nationwide, as America’s Tire in the West and as Discount Tire in the East. While Les Schwab offers good service, they are more regional, not having yet gone east of Denver nor into SoCal. That needs to be considered when buying tires with long tread life. However, Costco is also nationwide and, except for one jerky tire department manager at a Costco store in California who refused to do a front to back tire rotation on my last car, dealing with Costco for rotations, balancing, and other issues has been so predictable that I will probably buy the next tires at Costco and not here.
One thing that businesses should remember is that you can’t get too pushy or insult the intelligence of ALL of your customers. I don’t like to get combative with people in the automobile service and parts business, so I tend to look for another dealership or store if this situation rears its ugly head.

Knew what tires I wanted and called ahead — suggested we order on line in advance since they didn’t carry the tire in the store. So I ordered my tires on line no money down. I was called to be informed that the tires were in a few days later. When I arrived, the staff showed the tires to me — they were exactly what I wanted/​ordered. Fast service — AWESOME price. Tip: If you decline their extended warranty program they sometimes offer at ½ off — then it’s worth it. Especially if your like me and get frequent flats due to a nail or screw in the tire. As a matter of fact my experience was so awesome here for my Car, that I decided to get tires for my Truck. I should have stopped while I was ahead because the story it long and it really changed my review of this place.
After the tires were installed on the car with such ease I ordered them for my truck. Because less than 1 year ago I had replaced the front only tires on my F350 Dually pick up, I asked them if I could order only 4 tires (not 6) and have them take the front tires off and use those on the inside back, putting all 4 of the new tires on the outside. We’ll you would think I asked them to do a complicated math problem because after 2 full hours and several guys working on this, they still didn’t have the installation right. At one point I drew them a picture and they still didn’t understand. Keep in mind they were putting them on the Truck the way they cam off too… it got complicated when we had them change the front to the back inside. See the tires had raised white letters (paid extra for that) from the factory that were supposed to face out on the 4 outside tires and «in» on the back inside tires. At one point the installation process was so bad (i.e. installed the wrong direction several times), the store manager (yes the manager) said he want to «spray paint» the raised white letters so you couldn’t see them on the inside back rather than just turning them around. Then their machine that puts the tires on the wheels malfunctioned and they scratched/​gouged my one wheel. Being their fault, the manager said they would repair the wheel at no charge but we would have to use the spare and leave the wheel there. But then the spare tire was «expired» — even thought is was never used and they had to take one of the new tires and put it on the spare. Again after 2 hours and about 5 guys working it they finally got it drivable. I did have to go back 2 more times before everything was finally right. Bottom line — really good if you don’t need anything special done…
Overall great prices too — best around. BUT service was Meh…

Pretty good, best thing is you can check out all tiresninline and call based on your selection and the price you get is your final proce. No hidden feed. Good customer service and pretty fast as well. No appointment needed.

This is the only place to buy tires. Before you go, i recommend you check tire prices and warranties on their website and know exactly what you’re getting. If you’re thinking about buying tires at some no name tire shack, I STRONGLY urge you to at least check America’s Discount Tire website first. I went to a place like that and was quoted about $ 120 for some no name tire with a 30K mile warranty. To compare, America’s quoted me $ 110 for Firestones with 100K warranty. Next there is the warranty: usually I steer clear of warranties, but not with tires. As I write this review, I am getting my tire replaced (glass punctured the wall) because I spent $ 14 on a warranty. That’s right! The warranty covers EVERYTHING! Finally, the service here is really good. The word is out though, this place gets SUPER busy, so be prepared to wait. I’ve tried to circumvent the wait by getting an appointment online, but that doesn’t work. Get there when they open, or be prepared to wait (two hours isn’t uncommon).
*Word of warning: DON’T «SIPE» YOUR TIRES!” Siping is a fancy way of saying cutting extra tread into your tires. If the tire manufacturers wanted extra tread, the tires would have it. Save yourself the $ 10, plus your tires will thank you for it.

Wow! Literally the best customer service you can expect! I was not 100% happy with the style of something I chose to buy and they bent over backwards to accommodate me and get me what I wanted. I am very impressed and a customer for life! Thank you DUSTIN for your amazing customer service!!!

I have a lot of good things to say about America’s Tire. A little less expensive than the «Free Beef» guys with comparable service. Was in for flat repair recently without incident. No surprise fees, no fuss.
The employees I’ve encountered have alys been helpful and genuine. When was the last time your tire place told you up front when they expected to be done with your rig?
Haven’t used their no interest for six months financing, but I hear good things.

*Les Schwab is always a mad house, nice to go here and not wait 10 minutes to even talk to someone
