My husband and I went in today because his Lenovo laptop stopped working. He went to the Tech part, where they were apparently pretty helpful in answering his questions, I went to get a hot chocolate from the café. As I stood in line for the next 7 minutes, I witnessed two employees getting their food, understandable as they probably take a break and eat there, it’s handy. But the problem was they were standing there kidding around with the cashier and flirting with the barista while we stood there waiting. I finally gave up and left and went and looked around. I then decided that the force was strong with the need for hot chocolate and maybe the line had gotten better, so I braved back in again. The girl that had been standing ahead of me before was still there, they were trying to find her misplaced soda. Another employee came into the area but never offered to assist anyone at all and so I waited longer. Then a employee came up to the barista and was warned by our cashier that «He was not going to like what she had to say to him» she continued to tell him that they were no longer allowed to give the employees water anymore, they would all have to drink the water out of the fountain. He looked at her and said «That water gives me a headache and I don’t like the germs» and she said «It’s the same damn water, and Gary said we can no longer give you guys water. I waited, I finally ordered, eventually I got my $ 4.00 hot chocolate. I waited so long that I didn’t have time to look around the store anymore, I didn’t get to spend that money on the Star Wars things that I wanted, instead I left the change from the $ 4.00, eyeballed every single employee’s name badge searching for «Gary» on my way out, and then just ended up leaving.
Gary, I will assume you must be a manager at this store. Here is my message to you. Your employees are important, so give them the water. It’s the least of your worries. Your store made $ 4.00 from me today instead of $ 150.00. The reason why? Because of the poor time management skills of your employees, the fact that they obviously must think that the café is a hookup spot to flirt with one another, and the one legitimate employee that sincerely just wanted some water, well you were no longer willing to give him something that simple. That to me left a pretty bad taste in my mouth. If you can’t even treat your employees decent then why should I spend my money there, much less waste over 20 minutes of my time waiting for a lousy hot chocolate.
No thank you, Best Buy wins my money now, and that place is one of my least favorite places to have to shop.

Went to purchase a lap top for school Wednesday, January 27^th.
Reached the computer section and looked around a bit before asking for help. We ended up taking home something small & not too expensive just for school.
The next day I went to turn on the computer and it was frozen on the main «Del» screen. I charged it. Turned it on and off. Removed the battery and put it back in. Nothing worked.
So today January 31^st, my boyfriend and I went back to return it and decided we’d spend the extra $ to get something that was reliable and faster.
A gentlemen named «WATTANA» helped us out to find what we were looking for and made sure the laptop we chose had all the requirements we needed for what we’d be using it for.
I was pretty upset I had to come back and return the first lap top. It was pouring rain today and I have work soon. I have to call both AVG (anti virus) and Microsoft in order to re-​install on my new laptop we purchased today.
I have to verify all this info so they know I’m not installing into multiple computers (stealing) which is a huge hassle and has taken up a lot of my time.
So I was upset knowing I had all this to go through with two different companies.
Wattana made sure we were taken care of and made up for the inconvenience without me having to ask (which I was going to ask to speak with a manager because I was so upset).
I was extremely pleased he knew how inconvenienced I was and cared enough to handle it on without me having to ask.
We left extremely happy & with what we needed. He asked if we needed anything else and offered examples and then personally walked us over to the isle and helped us find what we needed. Then escorted us to the front row of the line to an available register and stayed until the entire refund and check out process was finished.
He explained how our refund or credit was applied onto the second purchase and showed discounts and made sure we understood every detail of the process.
For being so upset I was extremely appreciative how he handled the situation and seemed truly genuine about his apology and efforts to make it right.
Hopefully everything goes well & I’ll be returning in the future to purchase a few more things we need.
I wouldn’t have returned if today didn’t go so well.
So thank you Wattana for making me feel like I mattered as a customer.
Plenty of parking. Clean restrooms. More than enough registers. Completely clean and organized. Well displayed. Large isles. Well light. Warm and welcoming.
Pleasant employees who are dressed extremely well with suspenders, vests, etc. old fashioned theme overall. Fun and exciting. When you enter you walk under giant mechanical wheels.
Line moves quickly. (there was no line really)
Plenty of staff to help guests. Little café inside for beverages and food. And much more. I only visited part of the store. Go Explore!
I rated 4 out of 5 starts simply because the first laptop didn’t work. Lol.
I don’t know the reasoning or if it’s common. But overall I enjoy shopping here and will be returning.

First time here, very bad customer service. Very rude employees. Would give 0 stars if I could. Will never come here again.

Really helpful when they are selling you something. However, try returning it… Good luck. Got a better deal at Best Buy on a new tv. Tried returning it. Guy check the tv in them took off with the receipt. Waited almost ½ hour for them to locate him. Went to manager and found out the guy left the receipt on another counter and didn’t tell anyone. To make matters worse, if you pay by cash over $ 500, they issue you a check. Salesman «Shant» was throwing a temper because he lost his commission. Bottomline, unless you get a screaming deal and have NO plans on returning your purchase. Avoid at all costs.

I love this place. It is the best place to pick up your electronics. Give them a call.

First review on Unilocal.Just spent something around $ 2500 here to build a new pc, found out the solid state drive I bought Samsung 850 pro 512g, turns out to be a Samsung 850 Evo 120g, with a different serial number. And the manager said he can’t really do anything about it, go talk to Samsung. I told him I just did it last night but Samsung told me to talk to you cuz I bought it here. But he just keep saying he can’t do anything about it. The sad part is I got so upset but I know write a bad review on Unilocal is the only thing I can do but it won’t change anything.
Just go to someplace nicer, don’t waste your money here.

Another area and they said no you have to be in that department. I was sent back to this department and no help. Everyone just talking to each other. Ugh. Burbank one is better with customer service

II signed up for black Friday via e mail but I missed the sign up cutoff of 11:00pm Thanksgiving Day. I didn’t receive my first cyber code e mail until the day after black Friday which enabled me access to the specials daily all week.
It was definitely worth the wait because there was all kinds of deals! I bought a 7-​inch tablet for only $ 45 which included a case, Linksys wireless router normally $ 200.00 for $ 99.00, paper shredder discounted $ 10.00 and a Lenovo 10.1″ tablet keyboard combo including Windows 10 for $ 199.00!
The specials are exclusive and on a first come bases restriction and subject to inventory stock, but I ordered online which insured they had my product and will called the items directly at this location at the register. This location carries everything imaginable and there’s even a restaurant on site.
CSR reps varied — over my 4 day buying spree, 4 went beyond average customer service — friendly, helpful, one supervisor at the register even discounted an item not on sale and let me purchase additional items on sale over the maximum allowed per family.. Unfortunately one was a complete jackass and even told me the tablet I just purchased was sold out which I just picked it up at the cashier. I wanted to see the product before I got home.
Fry’s allows a 30 day return policy and even Internet competition price beats so I’ll definitely be returning here in the future..

Been going to this Frys since they opened about 10 years ago and I have been to other branches as well and this one is basically more spread out than the other ones. The theme of this one is obviously extra terrestrials attacking the store.
Before I get to my review. The prices are are okay. But they do price match which is a good thing. There’s almost an associate at each department where they can assist. The customer service here is more than okay. I’ve flagged down associates where they were able to assist me in any way they can. Idk about others, If they just caught the associates busy or not from the department or something. The computer/​hardware department can be a little overwhelming but with me being a PC guy I love going through there and seeing different kinds of gadgets and what not.
I mostly go here for blu rays since they always have them at a good price. But majority of the time I just shop online since shopping online is cheaper but if I do need something at the moment then I go here and buy from here.

I was very frustrated with my purchase experience on Saturday in attempting to use a promo code that was emailed to me. The ad on Fry’s website clearly stated that the limit for the discount on the Cobra radar detector was two but when checking out, the cashier (who happened to be the supervisor) said that the system only will provide a discount on one of the items. I pointed out the restriction stated on the ad, but she said there is nothing she could do. In a call from Eddie a store manager after sending in my complaint on this, he said that the supervisor could have done something (she just chose not to).
Today I tried again, ordered a tablet online using the promo code emailed to me, but this time after the order was confirmed via email, I got a call saying that they really did not have any in stock and that someone would call me with my options. Of course no call… I called back to see want can be done and after a 10 min wait on hold I was told the only thing I could drive to Oxnard and pick up my tablet. Right I going to drive over 2 hours, I asked if it could be shipped, was told no.
This place has horrible customer service, but it’s not just the employees, it is their systems and procedures that are awful.

Normally when I go here I make sure I know what I’m looking for. ‘Cause whenever I ask I always get lazy employees that do not want to do their job. Today I asked for a USB stick that was marked for a super cheap price you couldn’t beat. When I got to the register I was told it was twice the amount only to later find it was the wrong product. Same brand and amount size… it was the UPC that was different. The employee I had asked wanted to leave back until another custom sparked an interest in the same product and asked «maybe there is some in the back».
I saw the cringe on the workers look as if we made him do what he is payed to do, his job. He went and gave me a different product same memory amount and price but different brand. I really didn’t wanna deal with this pissed off lazy worker anymore so in just got what I need and left.
Over all the fry’s management department needs to have a serious evaluation about how their employees conduct themselves and their performance.

Although customer service can be an issue, I avoid that by doing all my research online. Whatever seems to be the recommended item Fry’s will have in stock. That’s good business. If it’s a good seller, keep it in stock. There are times when I want something that’s not popular and I go to Fry’s hoping they will have it. Sometimes I get lucky, sometimes I don’t. It’s all about what’s in «demand».
I do like Fry’s because they offer so much more product than most electronic shops across the country. You can build your computer or get the replacement parts here. You can demo just about everything they have. I’ve done that with every product here and I’ve bought computers, cameras, big screen TVs to coffee here. And, I’ve been satisfied with all my major purchases. The last computer I bought there was a demo model, A 17 inch that was also going out of stock and was on a clearance sale. I asked if I could buy the demo at a discount. I was hoping for 20% but would be happy with 10%. Got the 10%. Still using that computer now as I type and that was 4 years ago.
The check out lines do get long but move pretty quickly with the number of cashiers on duty. During the weekend and holidays it can be a long wait. During Christmas, I avoid this place until after New Year.
Every time I walk in, looking to the left you see the people doing returns. The line is usually long and I’m talking about not too shortly after they open on a weekday. I did have to return something once. The wait was long but once I was there it was quick. Thank goodness for that.
Parking can get very tight on the weekends or whenever they have a good sale. It’s ridiculous during Christmas with a long line of cars waiting to get into the parking lot.
Still, I love coming here just to check out the latest and greatest. Just be a smart shopper, do your home work before coming and purchasing.

I’ve been shopping at this location for just a bit over a decade. The product selection is fantastic, the staff is courteous and the price matching policy ensures that you will return home a happy camper.
This particular location is massive compared to similar retailers (e.g. Best Buy), but is so well organized that you’ll never feel lost. Aisle signage is large, hard to miss and clearly labeled. In other words, if you’ve never been here before, you should still be able to find your way around.
Something that sets Fry’s apart from the competition is its indoor café. If your friends or significant other don’t feel up to following you around the store, they can sit and relax with a beverage or a freshly prepared deli sandwhich (I recommend the turkey avacado) and await your return. The café is also a nice stop if you want a healthy bite to eat before diving into aisle upon aisle of awesome!
And just what is it that makes each aisle awesome? The fact that many of the products are available for a hands on experience. See a nice guitar? Strum up and down the fretboard to your heart’s content! Checking out a new television set? Watch it! Are you here to check out a new video game console? Play it! Demo units and display units for major peoducts are plentiful, so you can get a feel for the item that you are purchasing. Of course, not everything is available to be tried out, but it is nice that so much has been made available to test out.
Fry’s is more than a place to shop; it’s an experience.

Wow, this place is no joke when it comes to lack of service. What prompted to come here was an inventory of a camera found from their website. I thought of coming to the store since it was on my way to my final destination, so I stopped by. BTW, watch out for the birds that poops on your head by the entrance.
Unfortunately, finding someone to help out is like the title Mission Impossible. Even when you see a cluster of people, some were just not willing. When you finally find a salesperson and they couldn’t help you because the item is not in stock, you ask yourself «This is a technology store?» They can’t keep inventory correctly.
I’m not knocking Fry’s because in my post college days, I have been able to get computer peripherals and components here with ease. Not to say, it was always easy but if you could find a deal here, there are plenty to be found. But it hasn’t been the same for the last decade.
This location also has a food area right in the middle of the store. Strange, but I guess walking through a big store like this, perhaps you get hungry because you are walking aimlessly trying to find someone to help you.

City of Industry, CA: Great deal on a HD antenna during a «Flash Sale»!
Only sales staff contact was to ask for the location of the product we came to get and was directed, not shown, to the correct aisle. This Winegard Flatwave Amped Indoor Amplified HDTV Antenna normally sells for over $ 50 new.
Had received a special sales code online and that took the sales price down another $ 10, making our purchase less than $ 20 before sales tax! Since the antenna was like new, the refurbished classification was a moot factor.
It made a noticeable difference in reception for the tv it was attached to.

I’m not really a huge Fry’s fan. I’ve been to this particular store on multiple occasions throughout the years.
The most recent time was last week when my brother-in-law’s laptop crashed and we came to buy some replacement parts. He actually needed to get a laptop screw too. The guy there said that they don’t sell laptop screws and his coworker standing next to him had to correct him in front of us and said «no, actually we do». She showed us where they were.
The guy helping us seemed like he was just talking just to talk, but he really didn’t know what he was talking about. Most of his answers were «you can probably Google it».
So I started walking around and the signs hanging from the ceiling don’t match the merchandise underneath it. I went to «Computer Software» and found a bunch of kid toys under it. You get the picture… unorganized.
At least when we were checking out, I saw some dog Christmas tree ornaments and saw one that looked just liked my Shih Tzu named Cinnamon. I had to buy it. :)
