521 Cabinets

Ok, I was actually looking for Franky because we wanted to add a dishwasher space to our design and only wanted him to do it. I found out that his number was disconnected and his website is no longer up… I was surprised to find this Unilocal page. My hopes are that he will read this. I was satisfied, very, with the work he did on my kitchen. He actually priced us way lower than The Home Depot, LOWES and other cabinet guys I interviewed back in 2009. I had gotten quotes of 14,000 with The Home Depot and that wasn’t even including some custom cabinets Franky did around our refrigerator. Franky quoted us just below 7,000 and that included the custom cabinets and a glass rack right above our sink. I get compliments about my kitchen all of the time and the work that was done was very professional. He did not install the cabinets, he sent an older Asian man to do the work and that guy was amazing too, he did the complete installation in 2 days and I had a full functional kitchen in about one week from the moment I placed the order, to when it got installed. I do not know what happened with the other people that got his services, but I thought it was only but fair to share the good experience that I did have. Franky, if you read this, message me. Frank Yeung is a con artist. Period.
It started 2 months ago. He advertised a really great deal on craigslist for a 10 by 10 kitchen cabinet with granite countertop for $ 3500. He came over and gave me an estimate of $ 5500 even though my kitchen is 10 by 10. There was no special customizations or requests at all. It was a straight set up with upper and base cabinets. I went for the deal because it was still within my price range. He quoted me a 4 day completion date. That was 2 months ago. We went back and forth on emails a few times with promises of completing the job. Since then, he has disconnected his phone number and his email address is shut down. I tried looking him up for a contractor’s license to file a complaint, but it doesn’t even exist. By the way, he does tell you that he is licensed, which is a lie. The only one that gave him a 5 star rating is his buddy because check out his review history. I emailed the other person that gave him a 1 star and the experiences with Frank Yeung was terrible. DO NOT HIRE 521 CABINETS OR ANY NAME CHANGED COMPANY BY FRANK YEUNG. I am currently filing with the Better Business Bureau and taking legal actions against this crook.

Franky Yeung took the measurement the first day. Supposedly, a week after the measurement, he will send the workers down. They were delayed for a week, the workers are sick. Tuesday came, demo started. I was at work and got a call from my in-​law who was watching the workers. Apparently, the workers didn’t lay any drop cloth, gas range didn’t have any cover, and the white tiles are flying all over kitchen. The female worker was just hammering away my old countertop with tiles. I called Franky and told him the situation. He was gracious (sarcasm) enough to ask me if I want to protect my floor tiles by using a drop cloth… WOW! In addition, there were no drop-​cloths to the hallway that leads to my kitchen and out where they are working.
For three days, the workers were always 1−2hours late when they said they would show up. They claimed that they always get caught in heavy traffic. Well, why not leave early? Also, y in-​law whom I asked to watch the house while I was at work comes from the same area that the workers are from. But, my in-​law wakes up a little early to beat the traffic. It’s called, CONSIDERATION. Third and final day, my in-​law claimed that her car was scratched by their van. Franky said that it would have never been the van. Their van had a black door edge molding. Franky, this doesn’t protect the other car, this protects your own door edge. We didn’t wanna argue anymore, because everytime we tell him something, he has an excuse for it. And Franky has the nerver to ask: «is there anything else?» WOW! The nerve! I told Franky that I just want to get it over with. His response: «we want to get it over with, too.» This Franky guy doesn’t get it.
They did the demo on the old cabinets and tile countertop, installed beige granite countertop, and base cabinet. I paid $ 3,500. I highly suggest looking elsewhere. The work ethic, craftsmanship, and their customer service aren’t even worth $ 3,500. One last thing, the granite they installed on my bar is of a different color and slightly different pattern.
