Diamond Karaoke Pub

I went there a couple of months ago with a girl friend of mine. We wanted to karaōke. Two thugs at the door said it was for Asians Only. No English music and we wouldn’t like it. Ok. Why does this place have two Thugs at the door? Seems shady. Not even the strip club sj that shady.

I don’t care what the mama-​san says, I don’t remember socking anyone in the face… but then I don’t really remember much about the trip home that night either.
Diamond Karaōke Pub somehow seems shadier than the strip club next door (not that I’ve been to Deja Vu). The night I went was pretty nuts, my colleague wanted to go to this red light district style apartment complex he knows in in the 626… not my lifestyle so we compromised and ended up here… We walked in (a party of 4) and the next thing I know I’m alone in this lounge, playing some card game I’ve never heard of with a petite Taiwanese girl, knockin’ back canned beers and snacking on a plate of freshly popped popcorn and cold watermelon. After a long night of drinking, this was great!
We were playing a drinking game where no matter who won, she got to drink… way weird, but way cool at the same time. Her English was limited but it was still a good time… during the gaps in our conversation, I would listen the the sounds of non-​existent karaōke and stare at a PA/​Karaōke system (that apparently sees far less action than these hostesses) and wonder what else the 626 could possibly have left to surprise me with…

I love this place, I spent chinese new year’s here with an old buddy of mine. It was also his going away party. This is a karoake bar, thats still lets you smoke indoors, THAT’S RIGHT! not very many places still have smoking inside the club/​bar, expecially in California. This place has a full bar, good food, and good ol fashion karoake. You kinda have that L.A. feel to this place. There is also a girl service available for you rich dudes, seriously, I dont know what they do. But Here’s how it work, I guess… What you do is pay these females by the hour, then they hang out with you inside a booth, what happens inside these booths is totally up to you… =)
Well If your ever in the west covina area and want to have a great time, this place rocks!
