OK so happy hour is until 630 each day right? So guess what only if you sit at the bar. WTF!!! To top it off their menu on-line says Sukiyaki is available but come to find out the 3 locations share menus and only 1 actually serves Sukiyaki. Ended up with rolls, not bad but I think with my money Samurai Sushi at Folsom and Hazel is my preference. Sorry Wasbi.

This is by far the best sushi in Sacramento! I have been to lots and lots of sushi places in Sacramento, Wasabi is superior in every way! The food is fresh, and they use the best rice you can buy. The rolls are big and beautiful! If you love sushi you will be delighted!

I have been a Wasabi House customer since the early 2000’s. Every time I go in I am pleased with the freshness of the rolls and quick service. Now I do usually sit at the sushi bar and not a table, so I have no review about the table customer service but the sushi bar is the place to be — guys making the food are friendly and kind and even funny at times making jokes with you. The only thing I noticed in my last 2 – 3 visits was that it was not very busy. I’m not sure why — used to be packed. And I’m talking on a Friday or Saturday night between 6 – 8 p.m. Went last night with my husband and there were only a couple tables with customers and the sushi bar had 2 other couples plus us. We made a comment to each other wondering why no one is coming in. The food is YUMMY! :) I will be back — hopefully they get more business picking up.

Great service by the entire staff. They were friendly and welcoming. The chefs greeted us as we walked through the door and our waitress was very kind. The rolls were creative and interesting. Definitely unlike any other rolls I’ve had before! The sashimi was very fresh !

The service here was atrocious! I came in with my family for dinner on a week night there was only 3 other tables of ppl there yet the waitress was practically running around like a chicken with her head cut off we waited 15 min just for our water and then another 10 min after that for her to come back and take our order. once ordered our food came our in a timely manor and was pretty good the menu here is huge lots to choose from which is nice when you have ppl in your party who dont necessarily want sushi. The wait time wasnt the part that really bothered me tho(my family now they weren’t happy) for me it gave me time to really look at the restaurant and while it was very clean its obvious that while renovating they took many short cuts and it looks rushed the walls still had nails sticking out of them from where old decoration used to hang, & booth seating had been taken out also they didn’t care to cover up any discoloration of being sun bleached around where the decos hung either which i found very unattractive and sloppy for a place is advertised as a high-end sushi restaurant.

To all the customers that come here and eat… The owner Janet is Chinese, she is not as friendly as you have thought she is. I ate there one day and I’ll never go back. I over heard her talk crap about everyone that come in to eat. But seems so fake to your face. «she calls some of her customer color customer soy sauce chicken, because she say they understand black people in Chinese so don’t say it. She tell her employees.» And she say about white peoples that they are not very smart and just bring them whatever they don’t care… And to the chief of the police department she talk about you too… Please be aware. If you don’t believe me please take one of your Chinese friends with you and you will see…

A great neighborhood restaurant — food is terrific, in my top 5 of sushi spots in Sacramento. Wonderful servers. Always very kind and knowledgable.

Very overpriced. The atmosphere and ambience are very blah and boring. The rolls were small(two rolls each), expensive and we still left hungry. Won’t be going again.

We made a very enjoyable trip to this establishment about 8pm. It was fairly busy but to be expected this time of the day especially on a Friday. There was 6 of us myself included and where seated right away. The waitress was very kind and patient seeing as half of us are not big sushi fans. So we began with a few saki bombs and then ordered. I myself ordered the California roll with snow crab and it was not bad at all. My other friends ordered a few other and I could not remember them for the life of me. All in all it was a pleasant experience and we all enjoyed our time. Its a must visit.

Horrible service!!! First the young waitress comes and takes our orders — Pink dragon roll and Dynamite Roll, both without Tobiko. We wanted to change the order 2 mins later but she said they cannot. When the order came, both of them had Tobiko on it. We asked her to change it. Since they were gonna redo the rolls anyways, we changed our order. Now while changing the order, the owner and the young waitress were both hovering over our head without giving us any privacy. After a few mins, the owner comes and threatens us saying if we don’t accept our order this time, we would need to pay. I told him once again that I have a problem with Tobiko and that woman had messed up my order!!! Also the old lady(owners wife) was very rude to us — she was practically frowning and didn’t say anything while seating us. Another thing I realized is that the people who have given this place 5 stars are people who have written less than 10 reviews or so. seems like some of them are friends of the owners and they signed up on Unilocal just to write a review for this restaurant. Only plus– salmon plate was good!

Went here for the first time and it was awesome! We were greeted immediately and seated. I ordered a teriyaki chicken box and my boyfriend got a teriyaki chicken meal. Our soup was brought out first and that was good. Our meals were brought out soon after and there wasn’t one item of the box i didnt enjoy. California sushi rolls, teriyaki chicken, tempura, rice and a salad. My boyfriend devoured his teriyaki chicken meal. I couldnt resist the deep fried ice cream which pretty much tastes like a funnel cake on the outside with cold ice cream on the inside. When you leave they make sure to tell you thank you a couple times. They’re super nice. I was going to take pictures of the food but I was so hungry and it was so good! I will definitely be coming back!

My sister and I came to this sushi place only because it was on our way back to where we were headed. As soon as we walked in we were enthusiastically greeted. We ordered our food to go and sat down thinking it would take a while to get our food. We were sitting no longer than 3 minutes before our food was brought out. The best part was walking out and one of the cooks making sushi yelled a friendly good bye. Then 2 others members of their staff yelled out a friendly goodbye. They more than made us feel welcome and like they appreciated our business truly. Overall the food was extremely tasty, it was priced low especially for the excellent top notch service, the service was beyond excellent and the staff was very friendly. Will definitely be returning here again.

Always good. We shared a Bento Box and a sushi roll with an extra miso soup. Just the right amount of food.

Best sushi ever! Been a customer for over 6 years now. I’ve been to many sushi places just to try it out; however, found only one in this area that compares to the quality, tastiness, and freshness of Wasabi House but no substitutions for my fav rolls. Almost every Friday, my order looks like this: BBQ Albacore Riceless Janet Peter KP (and a new roll that I haven’t tried) Same three rolls once a week and never get enough… just soooooo good! Looks a lot but I share… After first two years of dining here, I seem to be more convenient to get the order to go and eat at home while watching a movie. Makes it more special that way. :) The staff is really friendly. Weekends can be very packed and the wait can be longer, but at the end it’s worth it.

Went here last night for the first time and was pleasantly surprised. I’m a huge sushi snob and usually find something I dislike about a sushi place right away. Either the fish isn’t fresh enough, the sauce is too much, or the rice isn’t cooked properly. And trust me, I can tell. But I didn’t find anything wrong with the rolls here. Everything was on point. The menu is freaking huge. Like, 4 pages of rolls huge. I think it took us a good 15 minutes to decide what we wanted. My boyfriend and I shared four rolls. The Peter 5, bobs, golden state, and the espn. I’m really looking forward to coming back and trying more of the special dishes.

Best spot to grab sushi from an Always friendly restaurant. I have been going to Wasabi since I was a kid, and always looked forward to our visits. At this point I order a tea and Kua without looking at the menu and let the others choose what they want. Great place to watch a game and fill up on sushi!

Food was great! Initial service was slow. I believe it was that they are a little short staffed on the wait staff. Sushi was awesome and food came quick once we ordered. Good portion sizes too! We had a large party and called in for a reservation.

I came in for lunch and all I knew was that I wanted some rolls. I asked the waitress to suggest anything and she suggested the«sushi bento». Before the sushi arrived, she brought me a bowl of miso soup and that was ok. My food came out pretty quickly, in fact I wasn’t quite done with my soup when it came out and that was good because there were only two other tables at the restaurant. The price for my dish was around 12 bucks and I’ve included picture so you can see what it looks like. What can I say about taste? It was good, I was starving so actually, it was delicious. I enjoy visiting new places during lunch because I get to see without the dinner madness, true service and I get to enjoy food that is not made in a rush because of large crowds. The waitress was super sweet and very helpful. I’ll definitely be back.
