Paradise Pool Services

I wish I had read the other reviews here before hiring this guy. He was listed with Home Advisor so I thought he’d been vetted, but obviously not. He appears to not really know what he is doing, or to PRETEND not to know so he can try to talk you into buying new equipment after doing repairs that don’t fix the issues. I have now hired another company, and the new person was able to fix everything very cheaply and very quickly, while Anthony was dragging me along. I agree with other reviewers that he does not tend to reply to messages until you harass him multiple times. Doesn’t show for appointments, without bothering to call and let you know why. I suspect he makes more money just stringing people along, before they figure out how terrible his service will be. Despite feeling very ripped off by his repairs, and very annoyed by his lack of response, I was still not planning to leave a review. However, he owes me 100 bucks for one month of service that was not delivered. I’m not even asking for the money back for lousy repairs. Has ignored three emails over the past 16 days to ask for my money back. I’ll probably never see the money, but if not I will continue to post negative reviews whenever and wherever I get the opportunity. This guy is definitely bad news. Highly recommend you read these reviews and not use his «service.» Clearly many people have had the same issues.

This pool service was hired about 3 months ago to clean up a pool for an old man on his death bed in the Carmichael, CA area. Pool was green with algae. Installed several hundred dollar’s worth of filters but did not clean the pool sides or bottom. Has not been seen since, but charges $ 95/​mo for weekly service. Do yourself a favor and find another pool service.

I have used Anthony for pool service for about a month and a half.
He is very poor at answering calls, txt messages, and voice mails. Had informed him we would be on vacation for 2 weeks but he still showed up and was going to charge us for service until I confronted him. He then waived the fee for those times. Whenever he showed up, if the gate was closed, he would not bother ring the doorbell for someone to open the door despite informing him there would always be someone home. The last time this happened, he text me the gate was locked. I immediately responded that someone was home and to ring the doorbell. Instead, he text me that he had already pulled out and was on his way to another city. I text him to call me back. He never did. I left him a message that we were not interested in continuing service and to return the prepaid amount for August. Still no response.
I’m not sure if this was all a bad joke or if I was in the twilight zone. In this day and age of depending on good service and customer reviews, one wonders what’s all the disconnect about. I don’t think he is interested in working at all which is the impression he gives. Not to mention the monthly fee he probably will never return which makes it theft. I never verified his water chemistry on my pool and tub so don’t know how that was.

If I could give zero stars I would. Pool services were paid for and contracted through March 31^st. On April 5^th, my mom checked on her pool and it was green. Had zero chemicals in it and was green. He has decided that not answering calls from my mom and me and also hanging up on me is a solution for the lack of customer service. He was paid but did not provide services. There is no way if he had serviced the pool through March 31^st as paid for the pool would look like this on April 5^th. It is green.

Very happy with the care and quality of service we receive from Anthony. Not all of our equipment was working properly, he was able to have parts replaced and serviced for a fraction of the price I’m used to paying at Leslie’s. I highly recommend Paradise Pool Service and will continue to use this company.
