After doing a thorough nationwide used car search to find the exact year and model car and color and mileage and clean Carfax history, it turned up at Maita Honda, all the way across the country from where we live in the southeast. We dealt long distance with Joshua Vaughn, a very straightforward and extremely helpful salesman. We were able to have a friend in the area go and see the car to back up all Joshua had told us about it, in terms of it’s condition and overall quality, and our friend said all looked good as had been represented. We paid to have the car shipped cross country, it arrived yesterday, and sure enough, it is a great car in great shape and was honestly represented in all ways. All phone calls during the long distance buying process we either answered immediately or returned within a half hour. All paperwork back and forth arrived over night as promised. Much help was given in the shipping coordinating with the truck firm we chose. Totally have nothing but good things to say about buying from Joshua and the folks at Maita Honda… we had some hesitation about doing such a long distance purchase, but for us it worked out super great… happy shopping to you!

I found a car I wanted on
on Sunday ¹⁄₁₀ so I went out there to check the car out in the afternoon. I was greeted by Serge as soon as I arrived. I told him about the car I wanted so we went on a test drive. He was very polite and patient with me. Allowed me as much time as I wanted to check out the car. I never felt like he was trying to pressure me into buying the car or tried to rush me like other sales rep I experienced in the past from other dealers. When it came to talking about the numbers, he was very cooperative. I asked for the price I wanted and I was firm about it. He did all he could to help me get the price I wanted. And it was much lower than the asking price. He went back and forth with the finance department several times and eventually he gave me the price I wanted. It was a long process but well worth it. I got the car I wanted and am very happy about the price. This is my 4^th car I bought since 2005 and I have to say this is the best experience I ever had.

Regarding the Service Department.
I’m new to the area and took my car in to Maita Honda for a recall repair. My radio also had not been working for almost a year and I received a variety of quotes from a Honda dealership in Arizona from $ 400 to send it out for possible repair or $ 800-​$ 1200 to replace the entire thing. Maita charged me $ 60 to look at it, and at first I was hesitant because in Arizona I was typically not charged to look at a problem. HOWEVER, the awesome service team at Maita Honda actually fixed my radio problem for $ 60. My lesson, it’s worth it to actually pay someone to investigate it rather than a free B.S. quote. Thanks to your service department I’ll probably come to you first when it’s time to buy a new car!

I would also like to thank the Service Team at Maita Honda for taking such great care of me and my new car. After noticing some scratches and some paint work that needed to be taken care of, Scott Lance and his team, Gino Estioco, Jennifer Baker, and Karissa Stallcop as well as Service Writer Ron Stamm stepped up to take care of the work, get me a loaner car, communicate the status to me and just in general make the experience an excellent one. Thank you all for being so accommodating, helpful and professional. I would recommend taking your vehicle to Maita Honda and if you don’t have a Honda, go see them and buy one.

BEWARE! STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS!!!
This is for their so-​called «Service» Department:
Months ago we took our 2004 Pilot to Maita Honda for a service recall. We used to go to the previous owner Carmichael Honda and this was out first visit. In addition to the recall, the driver’s side power window had just stopped operating. Although their prices are steep, we decided to kill two birds with one stone and have that fixed at the same time. HUGE MISTAKE.
Not only did they not have the all parts for the recall, which would have been super nice to know before we brought the car in, our car came back with the power mirrors and windshield washer inoperable. WHAAAT?! 8:00 a.m. Saturday they work, 4:00 p.m. Saturday they do not.
I contacted Maita via email and received a call from Scott the service manager. He profusely INSISTED they put us in a rental until the parts came in for the Pilot and the problems could be repaired. I agreed as long as the car could seat my family. He told me he’d find one and get back to me. MONTHS AND MONTHS WENT BY, NO CONTACT. Wow. So glad he called to remedy the situation.
Finally I receive a call from the service department the parts are in for the recall. Reluctantly I scheduled an appointment. I honestly figured we’d go to another dealer but I wanted them to fix what they had broken. When dropping the car off, we were told the original technician was no longer there. Apparently there was an issue with his work. (Gee, you think?!)
After leaving our car there all day we received a call from the service advisor advising me of «good news, bad news.» Huh? Apparently Maita Honda has decided that the windshield washer problem is mine, not theirs. Supposedly the technician that originally worked on the car did not touch the side of the vehicle where this is located. Please keep in mind this amazing technician who is responsible for the power mirrors no longer operating was let go by Maita Honda yet they are convinced he had nothing to do with the problem. They also informed us the cost to repair was about $ 600. Absolutely unbelievable.
To make a way too long story short, as of 8:00 a.m. on the Saturday we brought the vehicle in it was fully operational, when we picked it up at 4:00 p.m. Saturday it was not. The car was in their possession the entire time yet they find it possible the technician screwed up only some parts of the vehicle, not all.
Our family owns four Hondas. Maita Honda will NEVER, EVER touch a single one ever again.

Unhelpful and lack of knowledge.
When I arrived I knew exactly what I wanted and which cars I wanted to test drive. The salesman (Serg) could not answer any of my questions and didn’t seem to want to bother with me. When tossing around different prices on the car I was interested in and advising him of my budget he didn’t want to even consider my offer which was only a couple hundred off of the price? He literally shoo’d me to look somewhere else. I asked about some used Kia’s that were advertised on their website and with a sarcastic attitude he says, «we are Honda,» and kept repeating that. No sh*t shurlock, I know you are Honda; however, there is a BMW for sale on your lot right in front of me, you had two Kia’s for sale on your website. If you didn’t want to sell a car then why did he even bother to approach me on the lot? To top it off he kept my ID so now I have to go back. I was in and out of there in 45 minutes– test drive and all.
As a Honda owner for 10 years I am happy to take my business to another Honda dealership.

Came here this morning to take my 2015 Civic and 2015 Fit in for an oil change. I went online yesterday and made appointments for both vehicles at 9:30am for today. I showed up at the dealer with both vehicles at 9:23am and when the service adviser came up, he took down all my info and I was told «the online appointment system doesn’t matter» as they take cars on a first come first served basis. Not sure why they have the online capability to make an appointment if it doesn’t matter anyway, and I wasted 10 minutes of my time yesterday registering for their site and making the appointments. I had to wait 1.5 hours for the oil changes to be completed.
They managed to get the 2015 Civic oil change done alright, although the free car wash leaves less to be desired as my windshield had to be re-​cleaned when I got home and they don’t vacuum or clean anything inside the vehicle. On the 2015 Fit, they didnt reset the oil life meter, still said we had 30% oil life on it, so we had to look up on the internet how to reset the oil life meter in the Fit when we got home. I don’t think I will be coming back here again for service. We just moved to the area and this dealer is 5 minutes away from our new home, but I think I will drive the extra 15 minutes and go to Roseville next time.

I was really thinking I was going to have a long boring time waiting to get my oil change especially since they don’t take appointments. I pulled up to the express service area and mentioned I only needed an oil change. Bud politely said it would be an hour. Aside from having their regular waiting area they also have a room with about four computers to kill time when you wait and a separate kids play area. They even offer a courtesy shuttle that can drop you off somewhere and pick you up. It was actually shorter than an hour and they even washed my car! Awesome and quick service and Bud answered all my questions that I had about my car. Definitely will be coming back again!

They completed the service as requested, only reason for 2 stars. They quoted me 100 $ for cabin and engine air filter change. I asked how much were the filters… 45 $. I said no way bought the filters from their service department and installed them in under 5 min. What a joke! They also tried to tell me my breaks were going bad on a previous visit.
Long story short don’t trust them, ask questions and before you agree to any service SHOP AROUND! Try Firestone they do an ok job and are much cheaper.

After my lease on my 2012 Honda Civic matured, I went in to Maita Honda to purchase the car. I brought with me a pre-​approved offer and credit application from my own bank, Capital One, since Maita Honda was on their list of approved dealers. They told me that they have to run my credit again in order to approve the loan, and with that, they can see if I qualify for a better rate. I did not want my credit to be run again since I’m getting ready to buy a house but they told me that the credit will need to be run regardless, and with that, they can see if they can get me a better deal (According to my bank, all they needed was the credit ref number to finalize it). I agreed. Then I waited for close to an hour until someone (I think his name was Paul) came in and walked us to his office. He had all the paperwork pulled up, with my name and address spelled wrong and kept saying not to worry because he’ll fix it on the final application. Then he started putting a bunch of paperwork in front of me to sign. By the time we got to the loan amount I stopped and said: «Wait, you haven’t even told me which lender or rate we’re going with here» and he said: «the one you brought in.» And so I thought, cool, I was able to get Capital One since I already bank with them. Except that two days later, I get a call from Wells Fargo Dealer Services telling me that they’re my lender and they want to verify some information with me. I was flat out lied to. I’ve had nothing but negative experiences in the past with Wells Fargo and if I wanted them as a lender, I would have went to them for the loan and not Capital One. Sure they will argue with you that they gave me the same rate as Capital One, but that doesn’t make things any better. To make matters worse, I pulled up my credit report that night and found out that my credit was run TWICE that day. One inquiry was from Maita Honda, and the other was Wells Fargo! I did NOT authorize two credit inquiries. The people at Maita Honda are disingenuous and flat out lie to people. I called the dealership, they never called me back. I put a complaint with the BBB, they refused to answer the BBB.
To hell with them. And if a manager tries to call me after reading this, do me a favor and don’t call.

Honestly, I’m pretty sure any experience you’re going to have with a car salesman/​manager is going to be a pain in the butt. After all the negotiating, walking out of the building and then having them course me back in, I was there for about 6 hours…
However, there were several things not serviced on the vehicle before it was put on the lot. The steering wheel shook while going over 70, breaks squeaked and it honestly seemed like they didn’t look the car over. So when I bought the car and realized all the issues, it meant another several hours at the dealership. They did take on the cost of the repairs and apologized, but this shouldn’t have happened in the first place.
Be careful you fully inspect the car before buying a used vehicle (they obviously don’t), because if I hadn’t noticed the issues in my test drive I would’ve had to pay to get them fixed!

Took my Honda here for an Air Bag recall. I scheduled an appointment the time that was convenient for me! I pulled up into the service department and was greeted right away and was assisted right after the customer in front of me. The service drive in is great because it is shaded and can fit a line of cars.
The recall only took an Hour and when Honda sends an email to confirm the service, it states it will take 4 – 6 hours so I was prepared to take a shuttle somewhere. However, Charles (Service department) informed me that it will only take roughly an hour and a half! So that was good to know and I appreciate him telling me.
The service wait lounge is great. It has lots of comfortable chairs as well as a nice sized television. Also, Honda provides doughnuts, granola bars, coffee, and water for their waiting customers.
Also, they have a little area where you can purchase accessories like license plate frames, car covers, cleaners, car mats, etc. I purchased some touch up paint in case of rock chips… if you decide to purchase, make sure you have your VIN number handy so the paint will accurately match yours.
Honda is a very trustworthy place to get your car serviced and if your Honda is getting recalled, there is NO COST.

I give only 2 star for the great deal I received on a car through Todd Stamps. Very straight forward process. If you’re ready to buy a car then do your homework. Only the uneducated get ripped off.
This dealership has put me through some drama. I believe I was a victim of a potential «Yo-​Yo Scam». Please google «yoyo scam». I was informed that Honda would not approve my .9% loan. I have excellent credit and a decent paying job so why? I even put a down payment and offered to put a bigger down payment. If the process is a pre-​approval, drive off the lot, and then final approval once the buyer has been driving the car then it’s a flawed process.
I got a letter in the mail that was a «Notice of Rescission». Nobody would return my calls. I had to show up to the dealership unannounced to resolve my case after some BS.

I wouldn’t call 3 stars A-​OK because I’m used to better. Wanted to buy a 2015 Honda fit from this dealer. The internet manager gave me the dealerships word they would sell me the car for a certain price bellow MSRP and that was all they negotiating they could do. After I sent them a competitors quote they told me they would match it and give me a different color (the one I wanted, black) The deal started out very nicely and Barbara Daily was very friendly to begin with. As the deal progressed though she became increasingly evasive and would not put the dealerships words in writing. She said, «My GM told me not to put it in writing.» I I wouldn’t trust anything Maita Honda says. Unless you get it in writing and signed by the GM don’t trust them. Everyone knows to get a car deal in writing and signed by the person in charge.
Update:
After the review got posted I received a prompt phone call from her manager called me back and made things right to an extent. He apologized for the miscommunication and unpleasant experience. I changed this review to reflect the call back I got from Bruce. He was very friendly and courteous. He clearly explained what the dealership could do and for what price. He even gave it to me in writing. I am bumping them up from 1 star to 3 because of his courteousness gracious demeanor.

I bought my brand new 2014 CR-​V in this dealership. This place is really professional and courteous. The sales and service department are both outstanding. I highly recommend this dealership.

Purchased a 2011 Ford Escape on April 6^th. I love it! Thank you Kenny for walking us though the whole process. He was very professional. Anyone looking for a car and not just a honda Maita Honda is the place to go.
Wednesday the 15^th I went to maita honda service center, because the a/​c in the car was not working… I checked in at 7am and picked up my car at 2pm. When i called to see if it was ready they had it under my fiancés name and i was the one who called it in and dropped the car off. The a/​c was fix! They said it was a shader valve and they relapsed the cap. Well 6 days later all the freon ran out. Now my car is siting at their shop and was told it could be ready by 5:30 pm and i dropped it off at 7am. I am changing my rating because of the service. I will update when I get my vehicle back.

Purchased a new Honda Fit 2015 LX CVT towards end Jan-​15 from Maita Honda.
Did most of my shopping around via emails & phone.
Gloria Lee from the Internet sales beat quotes from dealerships around sacramento.
The buying process was also simple and hassle free.
The dealership didn’t upsell any accessories.
Recommend Gloria and Maita Honda.

I would give them 100 stars if I could. The people in the parts and service department are genuinely GREAT people.
I’ve had to order parts on a few occasions and the guys at the desk have been more than helpful.
Now to the service department, best customer service I have received in years.
Lost the lug nut key for my s2000 and they kindly helped me get the key off with zero hassle. Can’t thank them enough.
Keep doing what you guys are doing on a daily basis and you’ll continue to succeed as a team!
