Kniesel’s Collision Center-Citrus Heights

I brought my car in for two separate claims: one was for a side swipe and the other for hail damage. I was a little concerned about them matching the paint because it’s an unusual color — pearl white. Well, not only did they match the paint perfectly, but Chris Kiehler (the talented manager who determined what the car needed for each estimate, and then shepherds along the car in each step of the process) took some extra steps that really made my car look great. He had his crew remove the fogginess from the headlight casing, cleaned the car, and painted some stuff a little beyond the damage to cover some rock chips and scrapes. My car was 10 years old, but well-​cared for and low mileage. I got it back and it looked like new. And Chris texted or called me throughout the week to let me know the status and if they were running on schedule for me to pick up as planned.
These folks really care about the job they do and their reputation. They are a first class operation and that’s why you have to wait at least a few days to get your car in – with so many auto body shops available they are so popular that you’ll have to wait. It’s worth it – you’ll get the best service and quality work available.

My name is Lou. I am middle aged, and I’ve owned well over a dozen or so cars. Many of them have gotten dents or needed paint. I never really was happy with the work that was done, it wasn’t up to my standards. BUT about 25 years ago I found out about Kniesel’s collision center on sunrise blvd in Citrus Heights. I met a man there named David Brown. Since then I have only taken all my business to Kniesel’s collision center on Sunrise. Since meeting DAVID BROWN I was so pleased with the way he ran the body shop and was so concerned about everybody and to please them if if it cost Kniesel’s money. Kniesel’s collision managed by Operational Manager DAVID BROWN does everything perfect and makes the customer happy. I would never go to anyplace but Kniesel’s Collision Shop. They do it right and get it right the first time. They fully guarantee their work, and it is perfection. THANK YOU SO MUCH DAVID BROWN! FIVE STARS!!!

Absolutely loved Kniesel’s and the AMAZING job they did on my car. I will always recommend them to everyone. The only reason I am rating them 4 stars is because I took my car in to get it repaired on a Tuesday. They told me that I would be a priority to be fixed since it wasn’t drivable and it would be started right away. However, that wasn’t the case. They had to transport my car to the Downtown location and they didn’t even get to start on it until Monday of the next week.
However, it was most definitely worth the wait. My car looked brand new inside and out. Even detailed the inside of my car. Would use them again if I was in another car accident. Keep up the great work!

I am over the top happy with this collision center… I had a lot of work needing to be done with my car… From a theft… LUKE handled my claim and I have never been more impressed with a company such as Kniesels. The insurance company was very difficult to work with, but it did not stop this auto body shop from working and pushing to get the work done knowing that it was from the theft. They went above and beyond, bending over backwards to assist in repairing and answering my questions. They definitely went to bat and worked in my favor to get my car fixed. Only will I ever use this center for any future repairs and anything auto related!

Ive been here twice now and everyone is so helpful. I don’t know much about cars typical woman I am lol they are very informative and dont mind explaining things to people who don’t have car knowledge. Very pleasant and I won’t take my car anywhere else :)

I’ve had 2 great experiences here. The first time my repairs were done within About 7 business days (it was close to the holidays and they were super busy, too!) The repairs looked perfect, including my pearl paint. This time my car was deemed a total loss and will not receive repairs. They were able to get this taken care of within 2 days. I took my previous car to another shop about 4 years ago and it took them 3+ weeks before they deemed it a total loss. Kniesel’s has amazing customer service. Although I hope I don’t have to come back (car accidents are no fun!), this is the shop I would choose every time. Great communication, very efficient, nice and knowledgeable employees. What more could you ask for?

Over the past 10 years I’ve taken my car here 3 times as one of my insurances easy to work with repair facilities. Yea right more like they cut corners to save money.
Let’s just say my first trip was for a dinged bumper by another person years ago no big deal in and out.
About 6 years ago my car was hit again and keyed in the parking lot down the passengers side. This took way longer than necessary. A month to fix a scratch and put on a new bumper was unacceptable. I am a person who documents everything and good thing I did as they replaced my rear bumper with a wrecking yard one that wasn’t even a matching color. I refused to take my car till it was fixed as my pictures showed the original colors that a factory bumper would come in. Can we tell that they cut corners, absolutely. I of course had to deal with a manager/​supervisor whom attempted to make me happy as everything was documented in email. How about do it right the first time and I wouldn’t be so pissed off coming back for obvious items.
My most recent encounter was in September 2013 when my car from the hood all down the driver side to the rear SUV hatch was chipped, scratched, molding sliced, windows nicked, etc. by the Quick Quack Carwash in Citrus Heights.
This location took so long to fix the dings, dents, replace the windows and repaint the side of the car. To this day I do not know why it was over 4 months. Overall it was January 2013 when I had my car back. I still can see the torn weather stripping, and 3 chip areas that were clear Coated over and never fixed. Also the front fender has bubbles in the paint. Which sucks because I shouldnt have to be without my car for things that should have been fixed right the first time. I took documented pictures of before and after so I know what was actually fixed and what was done halfass. I had to come over 2 desperate times to look over the car and point out what still needed to be done, seriously you didn’t take notes and pictures when I dropped it off?
For example they had to repaint areas that had obvious bubbles, they apparently couldn’t order the correct factory rear window which took I believe 4 or 5 times it came and was sent back according to them telling me. I learned my car sat outside for 3 weeks just waiting for a stupid factory window. Thanks for treating my car like crap leaving it outside when I have it garage kept and not pushing for a window to arrive sooner. No initiative being taken here at all.
It took so long to fix that the time my insurance paid for a rental car had alotted passed and because this location was taking so long I had to deal with them switching the rental car stuff and driving back over to the rental car company to do more paperwork.
In the 4 months I had to return to the location ⁵⁄₆ times and the rental car place 3 times including switching the car out.
Sorry but my experiences were good before but after this I won’t ever come back.
Needless to say I did make a call in to the Bureau of Automotive Repair on this.

After further communication with Kneisels they had me bring in my car and they stood by their work and repainted my hood. It looks great!!! Hopefully it doesn’t turn colors but we will see. The staff were very nice and professional. Very pleased to know they stand behind their guarantees! Great work, thanks!!!

I take my Nissan here for regular maintenance. I have been a customer for years. I used to work for an auto insurance company and Kniesel’s was one of the shops they recommend. They are honest and friendly and the work is always consistent. The first time I ever brought my car in I was so worried that I would get overcharged or scammed. Some shops see a women walk in and think they have hit the lottery. My car was stalling out all the time and I thought I would be hit with a huge repair bill. It turned out it was just a loose wire that was fixed in less than 10 minutes and they did not even charge me for it! That is service.

My thanks to Tamara Miller and all the staff at Kniesel’s. They really went overboard to repair my 2008 Toyota 4-​Runner and get it back to me very quickly. They do excellent work and I highly recommend Kniesel’s.

I have had two experiences with Kneisels in the last two years and they both have been fantastic. Great customer service!!! I brought my 370Z in for a deep six inch scratch and they matched the paint perfectly!!! Just brought my Titan in for a small dent and scratches on the hood and it came out like new!!! I paid for the repairs myself so they gave me a discount. It was still a little expensive but I won’t go anywhere else.

After speaking with Rebecca from customer relations, the manager of this shop got into contact with me. When we had our original appointment over a week ago, the manager had advised the girl at the front desk to have me leave my car, pick up my rental, and be on my way. She never relayed the message to me which caused me to unnecessarily wait for 45 minutes. Although I had given Dave the manager my cell phone number, it had only been attached to my paper file and not my electronic file. The phone number he had access to actually belonged to my father and was his old work phone that was retired for the last few months. Dave advised me he had left a few messages on the wrong number.
Although I am glad I wrote my original review, I am upping the stars. Everyone makes mistakes and I can forgive this particular incident since it was just that, a mistake. It appears to me that the lady at the front desk had misunderstood the instructions given to her. This did cause more stress and was very inconvenient. However, after speaking with Dave on the phone I do believe he was sincere in his apologies and wanted to make it right.
There have been a few hiccups in the road but I would still recommend this shop to anyone who needed a body repair. My car looks and runs great.

What a great local shop for auto body repair. Just had my Subaru in for some rear end repair, and it now looks better than it did new. Service was done in the estimated time period, and they even went and got a new bike rack from REI to replace my damaged one. The staff is very personal, friendly, knowledgeable, and hospitable, but not in a overkill way. Cheers to a great local business, and I will return if I unfortunately need to for more body work.

I had my Infinity G37 Coupe repaired here in December of 2014 — My rear bumper was damaged when a person backed into my car in a parking lot. Since the shop has an agreement with the insurance company, my repairs were expedited but the quality of the work was okay at best.
The customer service, for the most part, was friendly and polite. The office and facilities were well maintained and clean.
I believe the shop only deserves a «OK» rating because the quality of the repairs were exactly that. The rear bumper does not line up nicely with the car, there is a small paint chip near the top of the bumper and the technician really just did enough work to get the car out of the shop.
A few weeks later, my wife’s BMW was hit while it parked (Side Note: the repairs were much more extensive) and this time I chose the Rocklin Kniesel’s facility, which did an amazing job with the repairs. If you have the option to choose, I would recommend the Rocklin location because of their attention to detail and exceptional service.

These guys are very nice, and more importantly, ethical. So far, I have had two very positive experiences with them and anticipate I will continue to use their establishment for the needs of my 2006 Subaru Impreza STI. Prior to coming here I only patronized the local Subaru dealer, and that was good for a few years. Then the service advisors got lazy, and my best interest seemed to be lost to them. Vince at Kniesels is awesome!

Was referred by a family member and did NOT disappoint. Brought my car in same day and was given a quote within minutes by Dustin. They had my car at their shop within a few days to start repairs. I received a call that they were worried because of how busy they currently were so they asked if they could transfer my car to their downtown Sacramento location. I was hesitant at first but had no regrets when I picked up my car. Dustin and the whole front office crew at the Citrus Heights location was amazing to deal with and made the entire process easy and stress free. I would 100% recommend Kniesel’s to anyone who is in need of work. They go above and beyond to make sure the client is happy. PLUS it helps that a Enterprise is right next door. Excellent! I live almost four hours away and we do not have a good body shop in town. Had it done when I was in Sac for business. Everything was done when it should have been and they were extremely professional. Even had time to wash it when I told them not to worry about it. Kyle was great.

I was very impressed with the customer service here. I was referred here by my insurance company (USAA) and I can see why. The staff is very well dressed and clean, very friendly and helpful. I had an estimate on a Wednesday and the bumper was ordered and replaced the following Tuesday. I couldn’t believe they were able to fix it in one day! The bumper even had to be painted. I was also impressed that apart from the damage I had done to the bumper they touched up some scratches in the paint on my lift gate for no extra charge. That’s the way to keep a customer, make them happy! I felt very well taken care of here. Hopefully I don’t get in an accident any time soon, but if I do I will take my car here again. There is also a rental car company (Enterprise) on site which is super convenient.

Kniesel’s was so great with me! I had just moved to California and was having problems getting my car to pass Smog Inspection at Smog Stop (don’t ever go there by the way). They were able to squeeze me in without prior appointments and they also helped me get a rental car for a few days at a discounted rate from Enterprise.
They called me often to inform me about what was going on with my car. They were overall just really nice and helpful, and my car runs wonderfully. They even fully detailed and washed my car before turning it back over to me.
My only problem would be that they’re a little pricy… the labor rate is pretty high. But, then again, all of California has been much pricier than things were back home, and so I’m not sure if their rate is much different from anyone else.
If you need anything done go here! They’re nice, helpful, and they know what they’re doing!
