Super good homemade hot sauce and horchata! Otherwise typical US Mexican food. Lots of combos and fajitas, all good

I receive a taco that someone half ate in my Togo order. It’s very disappointing; I would have given them a couple more stars. The chicken was overdone, and because of the language problems; my order is always missing something. I would wish them luck, but I just save my wishes. Signed; former customer.

This place was great and convenient– in and out in under 30 mins and they were super cheap! I would definitely stop again!

I’ve been here twice now and have had 2 very different experiences with the food. the first time I had a shrimp quesadilla and, while the shrimp was very tasty, the cheese that was used was liquid and not shredded so it made for a very unappetizing mouthfeel. now, on the other hand, the second time I went I got the veggie fajitas and thoroughly enjoyed them. the vegetables were cooked to perfection with a nice variety. the margaritas are clearly just a cheap premise mix, but they are only $ 2 on Tuesdays so you can’t really complain. overall, I would go back, but I’m not sure I would highly recommend it

I’m a lifelong Mexican food lover. And always try the local joints in small towns when on travel. Sorry to say this was not great. $ 7.00 «lunch» chimichanga was tiny and mostly the tortilla. Beef had minimal seasoning. And while most mex places give you too much beans and rice, these potions were tiny. Refried beans almost watery. If you like chips and salsa, ask for the hotter salsa. The standard one is super weak.

Called to place an order for carry out tonight. They close at 10 pm, I called at 9:30 and asked if I could place an order. The man rudely answered no and I answered I won’t be back to this restaurant. If you’re going to say open until 10 pm why would you not take an order at 9:30?!

Never got our food. The place was empty but we still waited forever for our waiter to arrive. We place our drink order and ate our chips and salsa. after 15 with no drinks I went and found someone(manager possibly) and asked were our server was and if someone could take our order. I returned to the table and waited another 10 minutes with no drinks or anyone to take our order. We then just got up and waled out. I don’t know what the problem was. but I hdoubt we will give this place another shot

Clean, great food, fast service, and efficient wait staff. We are local and eat here often. Always customers in the restaurant. I’m sure it is typical Mexican fare but enjoyable never the less. Great for families.

Bienvenida a mis amigos a el restaurante Mexicano, El Polomar. Great little restaurant in of all places… Circleville, Ohio. Basic décor, nothing special, but it really looked clean. Came here about 1:30 or so and got sat down by a very nice lady who was also my server(didn’t give me her name). I ordered the Negra Modelo because I really like a dark, smooth beer and N M hits the spot for me. She also dropped off some tortilla chips and pico for me to nosh on. Good starter. I asked for a recommendation on what to eat since I’m not entirely fluent in Mexican cuisine. Get me past tacos and burritos and I’m pretty lost. She recommended the Fajitas de Pollo con Camaron. Chicken and Shrimp? yum! Came out about ten minutes later hot and sizzling… made my mouth water and the onions!!! Oh yeah! One of the best fajitas I’ve ever had. Perfectly seasoned chicken, shrimp and onion AND enough for two people. I actually ate most of it though since it was so good. Saved a little for later but was gone 10 minutes after I got home. I got some refried beans and lettuce with guacamole and sour crème on the side… no rice… very nice lunch. I was very pleased with my meal and will certainly go back again to check out more Mexican cuisine.

Very good Mexican in Central Ohio. Between Cuco’s and El Palomar, the prize goes to El Palomar. Standard Mexican-American fare — tacos, enchiladas, etc. — are all very good but so are the more unique dishes, such as the steaks and pechuga.
