My WHOLE family has been using this Walgreen’s for years! Before, when it was a 24 hr, we enjoyed late night shopping while waiting for prescriptions at this particular store! I must say THIS STORE HAS CHANGED FOR THE WORST! Just because the store is located in a bad neighborhood doesn’t give their pharmacist to treat people like they are BAD PEOPLE! I’m so upset at how one particular staff treated my husband that I’m never stepping in another Walgreen’s ever! My husband was told he needed to go to rehab because he received prescription over a period of time for percocet! I know the epidemic right now with pain meds, but when someone has a severe pain issue and DR’s give that particular medicine, who is the pharmacist to calk the Dr on my husband, tell the Dr my husband is an addict, then cancel the prescription, the issue was fixed two days later, which should of never been an issue, so we take another prescription back up there to be filled and the same Lady refuses to fill it, yells at me and my husband, this time she handed back the prescription which the Walgreen’s on boudinot had no problem at all filling! Took less than 20 mins!
Let me just explain a couple of things! My husband didn’t have the correct Dr for his issue at first, so he was in the ER a lot over a two month period! In which they would only prescribe 12 to 15 pain pills at a time, which made more visits, and never once did he get to see the same Dr. But all the Drs that seen my husband knew he was intact in a lot of pain and wasn’t putting on an act! My husband got a specialist this past Friday! Where at that visit, Dr. First sent my husband to be admitted in the hospital in fear for his life! I have since discovered my husband has very serious conditions and intact, is in alot of pain, which now they are giving him seven more pain meds!
Now, for that pharmacist talk to my husband the way she did! Without knowing one damn thing about that man, is completely uncalled for! I’m now trying to learn how to report her to the state and Walgreen’s cooperate offices as well! She is NOT a DR! Nor is she a physic! She had no right to treat my husband that way or assume he was an addict because of prescriptions he had gotten!
I have a large family! Since this has happened, we all have switched pharmacy’s and as I type this my husband is hospitalized and fighting for his life!
Sad part is I absolutely love this store and other staff but I refuse to return or recommend others there when I know what this pharmacist put my husband through! She belittled him and told Drs he was an addict! Isn’t that a wrongful accusation and considered an act of slander? To tell others a lie, or unknown facts that result in others believing a lie, ruining a reputation, ?? I strongly advise, if you are getting pain mess from the ER not to take your prescription to that Walgreen PS! It could be cancelled all because of one persons assumption!
