The place looks awesome. The guys do a good job and they are certainly quick. I’m usually here no more than 15 minutes per oil change. They have changed their prices, but it’s still around $ 30 for the oil change/​top off the other fluids service.

I ordered the package where they check and top off fluids not just the oil. I knew my washer fluid was completely empty. As I claimed my car, my hand became coated with oil from the door handle. I grabbed a napkin from my glovebox and drove off. As I made a turn the steering while spun across my legs leaving oil on my pants. Upon getting getting home I found my key to be literally coated with oil. Not just slick-​I could see the oil’s amber color on the key fob, a little more and it would of dripped.
Then to add insult to injury as I tried to spray my windshield the fluid was still empty. I popped the hood to check at home and sure enough empty! I wrote an email and they never had the courtesy to respond.
I now pass them by to get an oil change. Maybe just a one off experience, I don’t know, but it was pretty bad.

Even if you don’t have a car, or don’t need an oil change… you should just drive-​by or stop-​in just to see this place.

I get my oil change here all the time. The staff is honest, friendly and take pride of their work. I think the pricing is fair considering they do an excellent job!
Lastly, the vintage décor is out of this world! I really love the feel of this place.

Who knew an oil change could be fun?
Village Quik Lube is a small location with personality. The funky, vintage décor characterizes the business inside and out. You’ll see 1950’s nostalgia like tin signs and gas pumps. Inside, the seating area consists of a dental chair, classic car couch, and go-​kart chair. There’s an old Coke machine too, and of course, television.
But I was here to get an oil change, right?
A huge menu of maintenance options sits behind the counter, just like at a fast food restaurant. Each is explained in layman’s terms and priced. There are simple options for basic car care and others which let you choose your own grades of oil. In addition to changing fluids, Village Quik Lube also does under-​the-​hood and under-​the-​car maintenance.
The mechanics are quick and friendly. I’m usually in and out within 20 minutes. They top off the fluids for free and let you know if they experience any warning signs of bigger problems so you can take the car to a technician.
I come for the nostalgic décor, but return for the efficiency. Regardless if there are a queue of customers, my wait time has always been only 20 minutes.

Was on my way to Wendy’s next door and had always been fascinated by this kitschy-​cool looking place. Needed my oil changed badly so I dropped in here.
There were only 2 bays which I thought meant no way it could be that fast, but they have it down to a science. Pulled up behind one other car in line and immediately a friendly helpful attendant came out. The ball cap and goatee were my only reminders that I wasn’t back in the 50s.
They have a picnic bench outside for seating and WiFi so I grabbed a bite next door and by the time I got back and sat down to eat, they had my car down and ready to go.
Now, I’m always cautious of going to get my oil changed in most places because most places treat me like I am just a dumb girl or try to pressure upsell me. And because I know how to change my own oil, I can see through the game. However, I’m also admittedly lazy when it comes to car maintenance so when he said he noticed my blades (and nothing else) I was grateful and bought because I did need new ones.
And make no mistake — all of this quick, friendly, memorable experience came at a very reasonable price wise too, which makes it well worth a drive to newtown.
This place deserves more than 5 stars and now both me and my car are happy :)
