I am really enjoying my layered haircut i just got from here, it looks great! They spent an hour on my hair, ans not to mention it was only $ 35. I really reccomend if your in the area, staff is super friendly and helpful.

Taylor Jameson is amazing! I do not have a enough good things to stay about all of the staff here. Michael (who I go to) is genuinly interested in hearing about what you want your hair to be like. He want your hair to help make you feel amazing everyday and is invested in making you look AWESOME. Great conversation, welcoming atmosphere and just a great staff!!! First timers, know they will give you a survey about your hair (they want to know all they can about your hair to make sure your cut is the best cut possible). Love Taylor Jameson Hair Design!

Understandably I was nervous, it’s not every day that I drop 50 bucks on a cut on a total whim no less. Whew! This place made me feel completely relieved and relaxed. From the receptionist at the desk when I came in to make an appointment to the hair history questionnaire (so smart, every stylist should do this!) and of course the person who cut my hair. I have super fine naturally curly hair, half the battle is just establishing respect and communication. Kevin was very down to earth, easy to talk to and professional. The salon itself was quiet, cozy and totally non intimidating. Great job Taylor Jameson Hair design!

I went to Taylor Jameson with my sister for a birthday haircut, I hadn’t been there before and I had heard both good and bad things. But since we waited until the day of, it was slim pickins!
We scheduled an appointment with Hannah (bottom tier they said, cheapest at $ 26 and the only one available) and we figured we’d give it a shot.
I usually spend about $ 50 at salons due to a traumatic experience as a 14 year old at Great Clips (never again!), so I was curious/​skeptical what 26 bucks would bring to the table.
I guess they over booked because our appt. was for 4:15, but we didn’t start until 5 (bummer for our dinner plans).
Hannah seemed really nice, but long story short, she did not do a good job on my hair. I even showed her a picture, 2 pictures actually. Pretty simple cut, mostly layered & at angles– almost «The Jennifer». But my layers are uneven and choppy in some places, but not in others. It looks «cray.» I also usually get my hair thinned A LOT because it’s super thick, so I asked her and she was hesitant, but she did it… sort of. After a few snips and the 7^th time of me asking her to thin it more, I said forget it I need to get out of this chair.
And my sister’s hair was really bad. Only because she barely cut anything and my sister’s hair looked the same. And she had a picture too!
Maybe it was just an off day for Hannah but I won’t recommend her to anyone. So until I go back and try another stylist, Taylor Jameson gets 2 stars, one for the price and 1 for the fact that you can drink wine while you wait, because that’s always awesome.

I recently visited Taylor Jameson Hair Design for a cut. Nothing too complicated — angle cut, some layers. I liked the place. My stylist (Faith) did an excellent job. They use all natural hair products, and don’t push you to buy them. The price is excellent — about half of what I was paying at a salon in Hyde Park. All of the staff was friendly. I plan on returning for a trim next month and hope the experience is just as nice.

I’ve been going to this salon for about 5 or 6 years now and I love it! I’m totally confused by other reviewers saying the stylists are snobby I have never encountered that. I’ve showed up for hair apointments looking cute and stylish and I’ve shown up straight from work looking all kinds of grubby and gross. In both cases I’ve always felt comfortable and not judged.
I can say though that in the past few months the atmosphere has really changed for the better. The feel in the salon is much more harmonious and cohesive.
I have been to other salons and I’d say they are very fairly priced in comparison. How awesome to go to a high quality salon and NOT get gouged with a high-​end price!
Micheal does my hair and seriously I don’t think I could love someone more! My hair always looks amazing and he couldn’t be nicer and more attentive.
For those who are interested in vegan products– one more bonus, all their products are vegan. YEAH!

I started going here 6 years ago during college. I read about it in City Beat and had heard it was a funky and fun salon. I started seeing Aubrey and she was great. After being with her for over a year she left for another salon. I switched to Heather who I had met from my time with Aubrey. She was also amazing. Then Heather left too.
The staff was amazing two years ago but seems to now be an ever revolving door, with only a few originals remaining. The salon needs renovation quite badly and is somewhat dirty. I’m pretty sure they would not want to see Tabitha, from Tabitha’s Salon Takeover, show up. It wouldn’t be pretty.
I really want to see this salon succeed because it has become a Northside staple. I hope the new management can renovate, CLEAN & whip it into shape.
PS: They need to get that tacky jewelery off the counter and out of there. I don’t know why they are trying to sell that.

I got highlights for the first time since I was in the eighth grade and I LOVED them! Not only was my stylist (Hannah) lovely and obliging, but the staff was kind and friendly and the cut and color was a STEAL! My new favorite Cincinnati salon!

I have been going to this salon for a long time. I originally went to Robyn then she left (boo!) and most recently saw Kevin. Robyn and Kevin (and I’ve heard good things about Heather and Michael) were both great stylists however the salon atmosphere itself have has really declined. My most recent experience was not a very satisfying. Lots of the new staff seem to be a little snooty and self-​involved and can be hard to ignore when you are there.

Love getting my hair done here! Faith is awesome and always listens to what I want. And she is creative! Haven’t had a bad experience yet!!!

went here in college when i was rather on the broke side. the chick that cut my hair left and went to diva’s on main, which i am not sure is even in business. well, i decided to go to edgar. he is awesome. last time i went there it was like 40 for a cut and style. only drawback is that edgar is sort of a diva and thus will make you wait even if you have an appointment.
