The Home Depot

I forget the guy’s name in the paint department, but he was super nice and helpful. They didn’t really have what I wanted, but he did his best with a smile on. I know where I’m going if I need paint again.

Like my cart was full of things I needed. One thing — a watering can — I’d grabbed from a huge display barrel full of watering cans. The check out lady in the garden center was like, «There’s no price on it.»
«I got it from that display,» I replied.
«How much is it?»
«I don’t know.»
«Then I can’t ring it up.»
And then she stared at me like a brain dead zombie. She wouldn’t go check the price and she just stared at me. I stared back, the same way I stare at Yetta when she’s naughty. Nothing. So I said whatever and left. Maybe I also said the C word. I don’t know. It’s my go-​to word when people are idiot jerks, modified by the eff word. I was REALLY angry. I’m still angry, although it’s been a month or two since this happened. Like I do blame places for employees like this. Places that treat employees fairly don’t have employees who act like this. I know giant chains like Home Depot don’t need my business, so it doesn’t matter to them if I shop at their store. Well, good for you Home Depot, because I will NEVER shop at your store again. Look, I can order whatever I want from the internet. Eff you, you effing C***s.

Your standard run of the mill Home Depot. You only got three stars because I am tired of going into different Home Depots and everything is in a different place. Time is money and you waste mine when I’m on the clock.

My experience was great! I went in for 2 items, 1 I did not see on the shelf I asked the salesperson about it. He got an item of similar quality and size and told me he would sell it to me for the price I needed. Now that’s great service!

I have been back and forth with Home Depot and Lowes and Home Depot provided a major FAIL today. First off I do not care about the personal problems of the guy that lifts down my windows, second after walking back and forth in the front of the store looking for a cart to put the windows in I was told «they may be somewhere over there» as the sales person pointed. Then to top off this great visit I ask for help loading the large windows I just bought and was told help was on the way and to just wait outside the door. Well twenty minutes later I got tired of waiting loaded them myself and left for what will be the last time in a long time. With Lowes so close by I wouldn’t think that Home Depot could aford to treat us this way, but it seems they can. On my way to Lowes for the rest of what I need.

The employees are overall nice people willing to help you. Average Home Depot store with many plants available in the spring and Xmas trees in the winter (for cheap!)
