I posted a profile on their site yesterday and then today a rep called and left me a VM, her name is Lisa and she said «you have some blanks in your profile that I need to discuss with you.» So I called back and during our conversation she started asking me some questions about the features of the car which I had already described on my profile? I told her «why are you asking about that?»; so she tried to play dumb… in reality it was a ploy to get to the real point, when she tried to casually say «oh I see you signed up at the $ 189 level» and stopped and said, «what are you talking about, I signed up at the $ 59 dollar level»…she said, «no I can see you signed up at the $ 189 level, I said NO! I signed up at the $ 59 price.» After she tried to say for a third time I signed up at that level and for the third time I said NO! I know what I signed up for… it became «Oh let me get my manager»…as if she is confused? Really, they know EXACTLY WHAT THEY ARE DOING! So then «Andrew» her manager comes on the line and I tell him what is going on and he quickly offers to «refund the difference»…I pointed out that you are using «deceptive practices» he then offered a full refund «if you feel that you have experienced deceptive practices I can refund the entire amount»…I said let’s leave it alone… so then I went online with my Amex card to check my account and there was a PENDING CHARGE OF $ 199.95! So I called Amex and explained the situation so they put that charge into dispute/​monitoring state. So then I called back and spoke to Andrew and told him «cancel the whole thing and do not attempt to put the charge through, I told him I contacted Amex. He agreed to cancel profile. So «bottom line» in my opinion they are liars and practicing deception at minimum and fraud could be ascertained as well. I have no interest to do business with people like this. I have also contacted Mercedes and made them aware of this matter.
**JUST TO UPDATE MATTERS TODAY 5.8.2016 — SO INSPITE OF ANDREW SAYING HE WOULD CANCEL THE PROFILE AND NOT POST THE CHARGE TO MY AMEX ACCOUNT THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT DID HAPPEN! AMEX SENT ME A EMAIL TODAY THAT THE 199 HAS BEEN POSTED TO MY ACCOUNT! THESE GUYS ARE REALLY A PIECE OF WORK! AVOID THEM LIKE A BAD DISEASE! THESE COMMENTS FROM SOMEONE AT THE COMPANY HERE IN RESPONSE TO MY FIRST POST ARE THE ONES THAT DON’T ADD UP!**

this company will not return my phone calls. charged my card $ 400 when i never signed an agreement to do business with them. their manager personally attacked me. saying «the customer isn’t right». total scam! Jack N. Is a scam artist and doesn’t know the first thing about customer service. Look at all of the other negative reviews. This is the best voice of their company. I’m not an outlier.
@ Jack N. — It’s amazing that my Credit Card company considers your charge to be fraudulent, based on the unsigned agreement I presented them with. I got my refund, but thanks for trying to lie your way out of it.

Swapalease process was quick to list and sell (21 days). BMW lease-​assumption department kept me in the loop thru 3 step process. I was moving to a warmer climate and no longer needed a 4 wheel drive vehicle and was waiting for an offer on my home before listing. Jeff Edgington was terrific and kept in touch after my initial exploration call and guided me thru the whole process including listing while traveling. When it comes to leasing a car, I admit to being a novice. I had been looking at their site for a few weeks and finally took the leap and signed up. A few days later, I was contacted by one of the Least Transfer Specialists, Christian Lambes. I am very happy that I did. He took the time to explain how the program works, and gave me some tips on what to look for and how I can get the best value for my dollar. Yes. There is a cost involved to sign up for the program, but is is EXTREMELY reasonable considering you get unlimited access to thousands of car listings. Christian also assured me that they are always there for guidance and assistance. The only reason I did not give a 5 star is because I haven’t yet signed my new lease, but once I do, the fifth star for my rating will arrive.

I needed a website/​forum where people come to look only for giving away or taking an ongoing lease. I needed to find some one who can take my lease. When I came to know about them I thought of giving a try instead of asking every one who i know if they want my car or not.
Rick Hogue helped me to set up my posting and guided me through the process that helped expediting it. helped me to chose what plan is good for me. I was able to find a customer in 5 days in Florida, me being in Michigan. that would never have happen if i haven’t posed on swap a lease. Everything cost money i have seen lots of people complaining about how much they charge. Talk to them they will give you a discount and Its worth a shot. Saved me all the hassle to find a new lessee.

I was very skeptical at first because its not guarenteed but i did it anyway… I sold my Mercedes in under a week within the post! I see alot of complaints that their cars dont sell but thats not the companies fault they do the job they said they will do. My car got sold fast and it was so simple. Gayle is great she set me up within minutes and boom it was gone. If you are iffy just give it a shot. Never know whose looking for a car. I had low miles so I feel that helped alot! Seems like some people had bad luck on here, and my guess is depending on your brand car YMMV, however I had a great experience with them. Gayle helped me throughout the process and it was very easy, all I had to do was take pictures of the car and update the profile periodically with answers or car details. I was offered a promo where my mid priced tier got bumped to Platinum for slightly more money and my car was featured near the top of searches. Within 2 – 3 weeks I had found a buyer and the lease was eventually swapped. The process with Audi was a bit of a pain, and was very slow but that has nothing to do with Swapalease. This place came recommended by friends and now I know why. Very effective for a quick lease swap.

Especially if you are dealing with BMW, it couldn’t be easier as BMW has a lease-​assumption department that helps you get out /​into a lease. I’ve done this twice on SwapALease and I found the process to be easy and painless.
I highly recommend it as long as you read the instructions. Way better than lease-​trader. Lease Trader runs your credit before allowing you to contact a seller– JUST TO ASK THEM A QUESTION! Swap a lease does not, and I would rather pay than have my credit run multiple times.
I have not swapped other manufacturers. For BMW, it’s a dream.

Overall, this was a good experience. From the beginning, it was straightforward– pay the money, give them your info and they’ll create your listing. Once it came to people making offers, I reached out to swapalease for advice on incentives. They simply stated «go with what’s comfortable for you». It was not helpful. I had to figure this out on my own and I feel like I probably could have gotten a better offer if I had some guidance.
I got my vehicle to sell in under 3 months. Swapalease explained some of the processing to me but basically told me to call my car dealer.
All in all, it’s basically good for getting your car listed but I don’t think it’s much more helpful than that.

Not really a great option. They don’t give you the actual statistics. I would love to know how many listings actually end up working out and can swap a lease is it 1 in 3, 1 in 30, 1 in 300… Not worth the money. Oh well you live and learn.
Thank you for the reply, so 500 to 600 car a month out of how many listings total? Of the new listings let’s say cars listed 30 days or less how many listings v transfers actually happen?
3÷20÷16: Interesting so if as you state you have on average 3995 listings active per month and have 500 — 600 transfers per month only 14% of listing actually end up transferring thats a very low number and definitely not worth $ 500. As I said really not a great option!

I’m looking for a 1 – 2 year lease on a Lexus IS or Acura TLX and thought this was the perfect website. I found a couple cars that I was interested in but could not contact the sellers unless I paid $ 60. I emailed swapalease saying I’m interested in a few cars, have a credit score of 800+, and could you waive the $ 60 fee? Their response was:
«I’m sorry you don’t want to pay that onetime fee but it is required to enter the secure market. The sellers pay up to 1000 dollars to list so we ask for the one time fee in lou of a credit check.» Christian Lambes Account Manager
Who would pay $ 1000 for the chance to get out of a car lease when cl is free? eBay and auto trader don’t require the buyers to pay $ 60 so that they can buy something.
I then read through the Unilocal reviews and the 1 star reviews are from sellers. Their main complaint is the car didn’t sell or even get any hits after being promised it would and paying $ 300-​$ 1000. Well, now I know why. Those hits cost $ 60 for the buyer! Not worth it. If sellers are listing on this website, they can also list on craigslist for free. Why pay up to $ 1000 to list on swapalease? Multiple sellers said swapalease was no help and that the actual swap took 30 – 60 days after the buyer and seller agreed on the terms. Ugghh.
I just got a call from swapalease which is odd since via email it was clear I wasn’t going to use their website again. As a seller I would pass after reading all these reviews. As a buyer, I don’t want to pay $ 60 just to contact a seller.

My Mini Cooper sold in about 60 days, the process was easy, filing the paperwork was a breeze, and I would HIGHLY recommend this service to anyone wanting to get out of their lease. Especially for the price (we paid a flat rate of $ 300) and that price is 1 time until the car is sold, they have two other programs, one is less aggressive the other is more aggressive in the selling process. I chose the middle plan and was extremely satisfied!!!
If you’re not happy with your lease, call them and see for yourself how easy they make the process.

I was looking to get out of a 3 year lease, which I was only about ½ way through.
After unsuccessfully trying to find someone to assume the lease I went to the Internet and began to review options. A found a couple of services, including SwapLease that match lease owners with potential leasees.
After reading reviews, I decided to give them a try as I was losing $ 550 a month on a car that was sitting idle in my garage (pun intended).
I ended up speaking with Eric Smith of SwapLease, who explained the entire process and was able to provide a statistical probability as to when I could expect the car to be sold. Again, he explained this based on a number of factors and an average time that a vehicle is posted on their site.
Eric ended up offering me a sweet deal that was pretty difficult to refuse. In fact, it amounted to a ONE TIME fee that was a only a fraction of my monthly lease payment.
Ironically, almost to the day a SwapLease member reached out to me and the car has just been transferred to them! Interestingly, this was the second vehicle that my buyer (lease assumption party) had acquired off of SwapLease.
Throughout the entire process, Eric was awesome. He set up my account, built my lease page, and was there to help me navigate through every step of the process. Literally, the only thing that I had to do was answer a few questions about my vehicle and email him some photos! The rest was handled by Eric.
For those who are tech nerds like me, they have a really nice mobile app that offers a really nice user interface.

I had very smooth process overall.
Gayle Caine did a great job explaining the process, helping me pick the right plan to meet my timeline goals, and even got my car featured on the site!
I picked the $ 300 plan — and even with 2 weeks downtime over the holidays — my entire transfer only took about 45 days from the day I signed up and got my BMW listed.
Gayle’s prediction and advice was spot on — and really helped set my expectations to get a great result!
The site could use some updates to make it easier to use — but it gets the job done. The company also needs to do a better job alerting sellers and buyers about questions and responses on postings to help make the communications faster — just be sure to login daily and/​or check your email frequently so you don’t miss a potential buyer. (Hello, text notifications please!)

I worked with Jeff to get out of my lease on a Lexus GS350 F sport. I went with a discount on their $ 300 package. At the same time I listed my car on craigslist. I had about 5 inquiries from Craigslist on the first week and none through Swapalease. I guess this was expected since Jeff explained that it may take about a month to get some interest through their site. After about 30 days, I actually did have about 7 people interested in my car who found me on Swapalease, but at this time I had already been working with a lessor who contacted me on Craigslist.
I’m a slightly bitter that I paid $ 150 for a service that didn’t work out, but overall I think Swapalease does work. I’m just glad I didn’t pay full price for their Platinum service. If you plan to use Swapalease, just make sure to give it some time and definitely sweeten the deal. They urge customers to ‘throw cash incentives’ at a deal and that’s what you need to move a car. Don’t expect to come out ahead on getting out of a lease. I would have given Swapalease 5 stars if I actually moved my car through them.
Also, for anyone who is trying to get out of a Lexus lease, you may want to consider using FedEx for all documents. Basically, I was able to get my deal done in about 3 weeks. If you let Lexus send stuff to you via snail mail the process can take upwards to 60 days. Not sure whey they don’t use technology ie. fax, email, scan.

Leemajor took care of me on converting my temporary membership into a lifetime membership (at a discount for former clients). I actually used Swapalease in 2004 to transfer into a BMW M3 from New Jersey. Back then, BMW did everything by FedEx overnight and the process took all of two and a half weeks to complete the lease transfer. I imagine now things are a lot faster with digital forms, email, scanning, etc.
I really like Swapalease because I was able to get someone on the phone immediately. This was the case then and still the case now. Leemajor and I talked about some of the scams that dealers use to solicit car buyer leads on their site. They know about it and do their best to police their listings, but they have 8,000+ listings. I suggested they throw up a «flag» button so they can review «shady» listings. Leemajor was into it and promised to run it up the flagpole.
The people there are great and it’s a great service. It doesn’t work for everyone, but it has for me and I really appreciate that they are a customer service oriented company.

I came to Swapalease as a buyer looking to assume a lease in the Los Angeles area. The website itself is very easy to navigate and allows you to put in the exact parameters you’re looking for i.e. make, model, months remaining, miles per month, price per month, etc.
After submitting an inquiry for a particular car, one of the senior lease transfer managers (Craig Bowling) reached out to me with details on how the process works and how I could contact the seller in order to initiate the transfer. His help and guidance allowed me to not only easily contact the seller with the exact information she needed but the knowledge I gained from him allowed me to start the transfer process LITERALLY overnight.
Swapalease is extremely attentive and responsive and as long as the seller you’re dealing with is equally friendly and professional, you will absolutely have a great experience.

Be Careful… Not many will respond if you don’t sweaten the deal with an incentive and the $ 250 or $ 350 that you spend is not the only amount that you will spend. The car manufacturer will charge you money. Example BMW will charge $ 100 per «credit application» and a final charge of another $ 450. You can try to push this expense onto the buyer, but if they are looking for a deal, then you will have to eat more money. Another note as well. BMW halts any type of assumption if you leased the BMW on a special. You will have to phone the dealership to get an exception.
SwapaLease rep should explain all of this before any purchase of their ad space instead of holding back knowledge from the sale.
