SpringHill Suites Cincinnati North/Forest Park

This hotel has gone down hill in the past couple of years. Our room this time wasn’t properly cleaned after the last person was here. That’s probably the biggest screw up for a hotel, right? There was a dead spider on top of a lotion bottle in the bathroom, and the last occupant’s wet wash cloth was hanging from the shower head in the bathroom. TV didn’t work right, curtains were stained and nasty. Bed seemed OK. But overall, kind of a weak effort. Will probably find a different place next time.

Got in a little early but the friendly staff was more than willing to check me in to an available room. The rooms are ample, clean, and comfortable. WIFI works perfectly. Very pleasant stay. Would stay here again for sure.

I had a great experience here at the Spring Hill Suites. I was traveling on my way to do a gig in the Chicago area and needed a place to crash for the night. The Springhill Suites are always top notch and this location was no different. When I checked in the front desk lady got me checked in promptly and to top it off I was greeted with a bowl of complimentary Chupa Chups lollipops. The room itself was in fact a sweet suite. A full Sectional couch, with tv dinner type tables, a desk with chair, Microwave and mini fridge, large TV and one of the most comfy beds I’ve slept on in a long while. The Bathroom area could be described as luxury. The next morning I check out the hot breakfast. They had an extraordinary selection it’s not often you see an Oatmeal bar, Fresh Strawberries and Pineapple, Canadian Bacon and Fresh Spinach available to mix in with your Scrambled eggs but they had it here. If you’re looking for a clean, elegant, quiet place to stay a night or two in Ohio I highly recommend this hotel.

My review is based on my experience as a bride who booked a large block of rooms at the hotel for my wedding as we had many out of town guests. I would recommend brides to avoid blocking rooms here as my entire experience was a complete nightmare.
I began looking for a hotel block in January for my June wedding. I ended up with the Springhill Suites mainly because almost every hotel in the area had been blocked for a lacrosse tournament in town for the weekend. It took me four attempts by phone to get a hold of Lori Johnson the Sales Manager to set up the block because she never answered her phone or called me back. When I finally got the block set up I was provided a link for my guests to use to book rooms, which would have been convenient except for the fact that the site never worked and often showed that only one of the room types were available or that none were available at all. This resulted in me checking the site constantly and emailing Lori to fix the site at least six times. Each of these times that I contacted her, it would take 2 – 3 days and multiple emails to get her to email me back.
I thought once the block closed that my nightmare with this hotel was over, however at around 4:30 pm the day of my wedding (ceremony was at 6:30, my maid of honor got a call from her fiancé saying that the hotel wasn’t letting him check in because the hotel was overbooked and that there were quite a few other people attending our wedding that were being told the same thing. My mother in law quickly got on the phone and got it resolved, but it would have been a complete nightmare because we had also booked a bus to shuttle our guests from the hotel.
In the end, my guests did have nice things to say about the hotel and the room, but considering the amount of stress that this hotel block caused me I would not recommend booking any sort of group block at this hotel.

Our family of five visited June 15 through the 18^th. We did a short family vacation to Kings Island in Springhill was only a 20 minute drive. There was a nice pool for the kids to play in, rooms were clean, and Brittany that sets up the continental breakfast was very helpful in making sure we all had something we enjoyed for breakfast each morning. There were local places we visited the spaghetti factory, Jax’s, and jungle Jim’s. Was also local Walmart across the street. The only issue we had was the sliding doors on the handicap bathrooms were too heavy for someone that’s disabled.

Springhill Suites Cincinnati North Forest Park exceeds my expectations everytime. I do alot of business in this region and this is the hotel to go to for a comfortable nights rest. Rooms are comfy and clean. The management and staff are always smiling and helpful. The property is consistently clean and inviting. What a fantastic experience! Thanks again Springhill!

First off, the staff at this hotel was great. Everyone I spoke to was smiling and ready to help me with whatever I needed. The lobby was trendy and comfortable, with lots of seating and a huge breakfast area. The breakfast at this hotel was decent. They’re not breaking any new ground in hotel breakfast, but there were many options and food was prepared well. Scrambled eggs and some sort of breakfast meat every day, in addition to the standard pastries/​bagels, oatmeal and cereal. Lots of add ins for both the oatmeal and eggs. Great selection of tea available 24 hours along with coffee. Ice cream treats available at the little market in the lobby, very dangerous for my diet.
The rooms are big and clean and well decorated. Lots of lighting. Large flat-​screen TV. Lots of available outlets and an iHome clock radio. There is a fridge, microwave and coffee machine as well as a desk and large L-​shaped couch (with hideaway bed) in a living room area as you walk in, with a half-​wall separating from the sleeping area. Huge king bed that was super comfortable. Lots of awesome pillows. The bathroom was big and clean. Great toiletries provided. Walk-​in closet in the bathroom was perfect for keeping my things hidden away.
The fitness room was great. Up-​to-​date equipment (two treadmills & and an elliptical) that all have their own TV with headphone jack, with headphones available at the front desk if you forgot yours at home. Plus a great set of dumbbells/​weights. But if the machines are in use or you’re looking for something more, this hotel partners with a gym less than a mile away with great facilities, just tell them you’re with the hotel.
Overall, my stay was great, and everything I could have asked for. Well, I wish the pool was indoors since I came here while it was cold, but other than that, great hotel. It’s right across the street from Walmart, so it was easy to buy my own groceries instead of eat out all the time. Though I recommend Izzy’s Famous Rubens (also across the street) if you’re looking for a meal out.

My clients and myself stayed at Springhill Suites Marriott recently stayed at this location and had a wonderful time. My top priority is ensuring my clients are well rested and taken care of when traveling. Springhill Suites provided comfortable beds, modern rooms, great fitness room amongst delicious dining options. I look forward to booking clients at this hotel again. Thank you!

Finding myself back in Cincinnati for work it was no brainer on where I would be staying. Had such a great experience at this hotel the first time and the second stay was delightfully identical. Friendly and helpful staff, clean and modern look, quiet rooms and comfy beds. No doubt I’ll be coming back next time work brings me this way.

This was my first time staying at Spring Hill Suites and I was very pleased. The staff is very helpful and knowledgeable about the property and surrounding area.
The fitness center is great! It has new, proper working cardio equipment, and new dumbbells.
The continental breakfast is one of the best I’ve had. They have a variety of healthy cereals by Kashi, and Kelloggs. They also have different toppings for your eggs like spinach, cheddar cheese, salsa, and hot sauces. My favorite is the oatmeal which you can add raisins, brown sugar, chocolate chips, almonds, and/​or cranberries.
The rooms are great and clean! It contains a mini fridge, and microwave. The bed is super comfortable.
One of my biggest concerns going anywhere is always the bathroom and Spring Hill Suites did not disappoint. They have clean showers, towels, toilets.

Driving from Atlanta to Buffalo. This hotel is about the mid point. The hotel itself is fairly new. Nothing special just nice. The room was spacious enough. The surrounding area though leaves much to be desired. I was planning on a stay for the return leg but will drive a bit further to find a better area.

Very happy with my choice! Updated rooms that are larger than your typical hotel rooms! Free breakfast but only negative was outside pool… dirty but nice layout. Had a great mini vaca with friends/​family!

Twice I have called in the early AM with the request for a top floor room facing away from the highway, and twice has that request not be honored nor accommodated at check-​in. Not sure why this franchisee can’t seem to honor this request when every other Springhill I stay at across the country seems to have no problem honoring this type of request. Whoever does their room assignments needs to rethink their approach as it has led to me no longer staying here on my frequent business travel to Fairfield, OH. Hotel itself is average and has been recently renovated.

This Marriott property was recently renovated. Room layout good, multiple outlets for plugging in all of your electronics.
Greeted with a warm chocolate chip cookie, followed by a call to the room to make sure everything was satisfactory. Will definitely make this a «favorite» in my Marriott profile.
The only thing keeping this location from being 5 stars is the lack of a wow-​factor, no nearby lakes, etc.

Aug 2012 $ 119/​night. One of cheapest Marriott locations in Cincinnati. Still a little expensive. Location not the best. Rooms well done. Breakfast below average. Front desk well served but when asked about ‘good’ restaurants, they give you a list of everything in area… Have to use Unilocal for hot spots.

Nice new room layout. Convenient location. Little high on price. Breakfast average. Lots of chain restaurants in area.
