Best place to get a sandwich on lunch break. Family owned, small, but the salad bar is to die for too. They have hot pickles that range from 1 – 10! I get the Greek dressing because I simply can’t find it ANYWHERE!!!

Ah Scherpies, you are quite the gem hidden away near the center of St. Bernard. I love stopping by this spot to grab a quick lunch during work. Don’t be confused by the exterior looks, they sell produce in the front and have a deli in the back. Their sandwiches and lunch meat offerings are delicious but are also very affordable($ 3 – 5). So much value! My favorite is the Waldorf grape chicken salad! A very hearty sandwich with a generous amount of meat enough to stuff most individuals! Biting into a grape just starts a party in my mouth! Note: they do not have indoor seating and be sure to check their hours(stricter than others).

Great local business! Family owned and operated. I’m a huge fan of their homemade chicken salad and often grab a sandwich from here for lunch. It’s a deli, so don’t expect burgers and fries. They do have a hot lunch special daily though. One last tip, carry out only. There is no seating provided.

A little home in the wall. What a huge sandwich. I came during lunch rush, a little intimidating not knowing what I wanted when it was my turn. Went with the special of the day, Turkey. Stacked 2″ high! Super fresh! Pop & chips with it, $ 7.99. Too bad it’s not close by, this place is definitely a revisit!

Love love love this place!!! Deli sandwiches are fresh and delicious. They have everything from lunch meat to chicken salad(which is home made). Plus not to mention all sorts of sides! There is also a small fresh salad bar, and fresh produce. And during the spring and summer months, you can also buy flowers. And they used to even have Christmas trees in December(not sure if they still do). If you’re looking for fast friendly service this is your go to!

I stopped in at Scherpie’s to pick-up a sandwich for my lunch one day before work. I hadn’t been inside this place since I was probably 10 years old. My mom always loved shopping here for produce and I think they used to have meat. I never really knew what a gem I could find tucked in St. Bernard. I ordered a turkey sandwich and the girl behind the counter was nice enough to rattle off my toppings and bread options since the paper menu was hard to read. She had it made so quickly I couldn’t even believe it! I also took home a small container of homemade chicken salad which was really good. There were quite a few salads in the deli case that looked amazing. What sealed the deal for me what the fact that they have my ALL-TIMEFAVORITE chips: Dirty Potato chips which can be incredibly hard to find in Cincinnati since they made by Utz. I wish they had better hours but I will certainly try to find my way back.

I’ve been do Sherpie’s so many times over the past few years, and I still think it’s just the cutest little deli. Whenever I do go to Sherpie’s it’s for lunch. And I always go up to the deli counter for a sandwich, usually the daily special. Most times they have a hot special and a cold special(today’s hot special was pizza bread, which was different. And yummy!) And these sandwiches are not your basic«slice of meat, slice of cheese, schmear of mayo» sandwiches. They pack on the meat, cheese, and whatever veggies you like on your choice of bread! They also have really good prepared salads, the chicken salad and broccoli salad being my favorites.

I love Scherpies! Try to broccoli salad, their roast beef or honey ham sandwiches– it’s all great and inexpensive(I dislike the word«cheap»). Owners are kind, helpful and their produce is beautiful. Truly a hidden gem!

Sherpies is an awesome little gem in the St Bernard area of Cincinnati. It is traditionally a little family owned produce store, but what I go for is the deli. Its super simple. You tell the friendly ladies behind the counter what kind of meat, bread, and toppings you want; you get(no kidding) a fresh and delicious 1.5lb sandwich. The best part is that a simple sandwich is only ~$ 3.50! #mindblown Doing the math… 6.99 for a lb of turkey… or buy Sherpies for $ 3.50 that is about a lb of meat already… wow… They probably make their money with specials, chips, and drinks. But im telling you, this is by far the best value meal ever. My favorite is the Waldorf Chicken Salad on Wheat. Others might know it as chicken salad with walnuts and grapes. Every time I bite into a grape, it brings a great big smile to my face. =) You can never go wrong with the hot special either. I think the hours are limited, but definitely worth it if you are in the area for lunch.

Someone else picked up our order, so I can’t comment on the store experience, but my sandwich was might tasty! I got a corned beef on rye and it was a very generous pile of fresh, fragrant corned beef with condiments-to-order. Sandwich and a bag of chips was less than $ 5 so can’t beat that!

I don’t think its possible to say anything bad about this place. The sandwiches are huge and cheap with freshly cut deli meat and daily specials this is the best place to grab a filling lunch. They have produce and variety of beverages as well. Grab a sandwich and head over to nearby Ross park. You won’t regret it

Great Sandwiches and fresh produce. Great prices and a freindly atmosphere. However, Its Never Open when I stop by lol… they keep really odd store hours. and are never open on Sundays. They are closed on Saturdays sometimes too. The building is in bad shape and falling apart too. But other than that, they make the best sandwiches in town!

Sherpies is the whoop! $ 4.75 for a hot ham and cheese and a drink. This is not a restaurant. This is a deli /produce market.

The is decidedly a hidden gem in this area. This is an inexpensive lunch stop that will appeal to laborers and office workers alike. Service is fast and without pretense. They absolutely pile on the meat for a very reasonable price and have vegetarian options as well. They have a great produce selection, and an assortment of chips and drinks.

LOVESCHERPIES!!! Fat deli sandwiches, a slew of meats and cheeses behind the counter, fresh made potato salads, mac salads, slaw, etc. plus a small but extremely fresh salad bar. while you’re there, why don’t you pick up some fresh produce? the rest of the place is to the gills with fresh fruits and veggies begging for you to take them home. a perfect in and out place for a take out lunch that is cheap, healthy, and tasty, plus all the produce you’re likely to need. oh, and ask for the special bakery bread on your sandwich, it costs a little more but makes a killer difference.
