I miss living in Cincinnati because our public libraries are awesome! They have a fantastic selection of books, movies, music and magazines. And if you can’t find what you’re looking for at this particular location, they can order it from another branch and it will be in your hands in no time! They also have a lot of things available through their website, so that’s definitely worth exploring.
But my favorite part about our libraries are the events! Check the calendar online or sign up for their emails! There’s always fun stuff going on for all ages!

The Cincinnati public library system is really great for the size of city that we live in. I’m constantly impressed by how much they have to offer!
The Oakley branch is very nice. It’s well taken care of, and there’s always a good selection of books, DVD’s, and even CD’s. Their selection of new books is good, but not laid out the best… I think it takes some getting used to to know where everything is. But overall a very cute, small library that is conveniently located off of Oakley Square!
Oh, and free wi-​fi!

It’s the library, what’s not to love?! The Oakley branch is pretty small, so browsing is limited, but I usually request whatever I want online and pick it up here. And I do mean whatever I want. It’s rare for the Public Library of Cincinnati & Hamilton County to disappoint. Probably the best bargain for my tax dollars ever! I love it!

This is a very conveniently located branch, right on Madison Rd as you pass through Oakley. It has all the services that every Hamilton County library branch offers: books, DVDs, access to the SearchOhio and OhioLink catalogs, free computer use, free wifi free faxing to Hamilton County Jobs and Family Services, free bathrooms and a free drinking fountain! As far as interesting library buildings go, this one is not a favorite. Built in the late 80s its more functional than fascinating.

This is my favorite location nearby. I think the staff is incredibly helpful and seem to be in good moods most of the time I have been there. I love using the library book request online and have them delivered to this location for easy pick up and check out. Not the library system of my childhood where what you see is what you get. I have never looked for a book that they couldn’t make available. Very lucky to live in Cincinnati with such a great library system

I agree that this is a great branch. They have two toddler story times on Mondays and Tuesdays. The librarian that does these is great with little kids and always has fun activities and songs to do.
My one gripe is that they don’t open until 12 on M, W, F, which stinks.

The Oakley branch, which is located right on the corner of Madison and Gilmore, is a great, little branch. Their selection is fairly limited but they can find a book in the system and get it to their branch within a day. They even have self-​checkout systems which is nice when you have a book on hold and just want to get in and get out!
