Specialties
Pilates for Runners classes are tailored to meet runners’ specific issues. Runners and triathletes generally experience the same issues — tight hip flexors and hamstrings, low back pain, IT band issues, and joint dysfunction in the hips and pelvis. Pilates for Runners group mat and private lessons address these issues with exercises that strengthen the core — abs, back, hips, glutes, and thighs — while working on alignment, joint mobility, and flexibility.
Classes are designed to accommodate both beginners and Pilates veterans. The basics of proper form and anatomy are taught during every class and exercises are modified for beginner and intermediate students. No matter what your fitness level, you’ll experience a challenging workout that will leave you feeling energized and running better!
Private Pilates lessons are designed to meet the client’s needs — strength training, flexibility, injury recovery or overall wellness and fitness. We are here to help you look and feel your best
History
Established in 2011.
Pilates for Runners began in July 2011 as a group mat class meeting in various studios around Cincinnati. In May 2012 we opened our own location at 3096 Madison Road in Oakley!
I have been actively teaching Pilates since January 2009, shortly after successfully completing the Pendleton Pilates Teacher Training & Certification Program and have run 6 marathons in that time. I combined my love of running and Pilates to create the perfect cross-training program for runners!

Business Owner
I have been actively teaching Pilates since January 2009, shortly after successfully completing the Pendleton Pilates Teacher Training & Certification Program. I am currently certified to teach Reformer, Mat, and Ball classes and I continue to enhance my education by attending Pilates workshops and by practicing Pilates on a regular basis.
Group classes are designed for a wide variety of skill levels and modifications can be made for physical challenges such as spine, neck, and joint issues. Private lessons are tailored to meet your specific needs and help you to achieve your goals.
Joseph Pilates believed that proper form was essential for creating a healthy spine and a strong core, and I focus extensively on practicing correct form in all my classes. My goal is to help clients at all skill levels to deepen and intensify their Pilates practice. It inspires me to see clients grow in strength and confidence and make the important connection between body and mind.
