History

Established in 1980.

Peach Grove Animal Hospital (PGAH) opened its doors for business in March, 1980 by Dr. Gary L. Schroeder. Dr. Mary C. Kelley joined the business later and eventually as a business partner. Dr. Deborah S. McArthur entered into partnership with Dr. Kelley, then became sole owner, as Dr. Kelley and Dr. Schroeder retired. Current PGAH veterinarians are Dr. Deborah S. McArthur, Dr. Julie Wolfe, with Dr. Mary C. Kelley as relief veterinarian when needed.

Our support staff of Registered Veterinary Technicians, Veterinary Assistants, Customer Service Representatives/​Receptionists, Office Manager, and Marketing have over 160 years of veterinary care experience.

Meet the Business Owner

Dr. Deborah S. McArthur, DVM M.

Business Owner

Dr. McArthur grew up on Cincinnati’s west side, attending Oak Hills HS. In college, she studied a year in Lausanne, Switzerland improving her French and singing in choir. She fell in love with elephants — volunteering at Indianapolis Zoo and doing behavior observations for Butler U’s psychology dept.

At Purdue U’s School of Veterinary Medicine, she did large and small animal medicine, graduating in 1997. She became fascinated with reproduction, especially after assisting a classmate with his English Bulldog’s pregnancy.

She practiced in Cincinnati and Indiana before joining PGAH in 1998. She is currently the proud owner, and hopes to continue the excellent tradition of quality, compassionate care for all clients’ pets, She commends her hard working staff on making PGAH a joy to come to work to each day.

When not at PGAH, she enjoys traveling the US and abroad. She is an avid mysteries and fiction readers. She shares with house herfive cats and over 800 elephants (figurines).
