This park is great! We just moved to the neighborhood, and my pup loves walking the trail and chasing squirrels up the tree. I think the space here is great, and look forward to spending lots of time here. If you’re bringing your pup, there’s dog-friendly water fountains! I wish there were a dog run, though. There’s plenty of space for it, and we need one in this part of town ;)

I enjoyed my time at owls nest. A nice park next to a cute little town. Had a nice picnic– so many tables to choose from! Great walk path and an array of activities!

After stopping at The Coffee Shop on Madison we wanted to stroll and enjoy our tea in the nice weather. We walked down the street and ended up running directly into Owl’s Nest Park. The park isn’t over-the-top in its beauty, not many flowers, just a lot of grass, but it served our needs perfectly. We strolled down past the brick building that houses toilets and tables and found a baseball field where some local kids were playing with a waffle bat. The field didn’t appear to be in great shape so I’m assuming it is there simply for casual games between friends, not local little league games. Other than the baseball field we saw a small playground that held just the basics: swings and a small slide. There aren’t very many benches to sit on so we did a loop and then left.

This is a cute little park near O’Bryonville that looks like it could use a little TLC. While the playground looked modern and safe, other parts of the park could use the attention of maintenance crews, namely the over-flowing garbage cans. Unkempt garbage cans are probably my number one pet peeve at parks because the litter that didn’t fit into the garbage can will invariably be swept away by the wind into shrubs and bushes. This park is very quiet and contains a number of mature trees, making most of the park well shaded. This would be a nice spot for a summer picnic or relaxing stroll along the paved trails.

This cute little park located in O’Bryonville has changed a lot through the years. Now it sits as a very unused but beautiful park. I grew up right down the street from this park so I would often visit with my parents. My family were members of the swimming pool that used to be operated here but no longer exists. Now the park just looks empty, I didn’t see a soul in it when I walked through the other day. There are basketball courts and several baseball courts. There is a pavilion you can walk around inside and a playground. It seems that the playground is currently closed as there was orange caution tape around the whole thing. It looked like the monkey bars had fallen down. Even with the lack of activities in the park, it still is beautiful and has great pathways for walking around on a nice day.
