My bestie is having her first baby at the end of July and when I racked my brain for the most best-est, most memorable-est and most awesome-est shower gift ever… I knew it just HAD to be a 3D ultrasound! I mean c’mon people! It’s for her first born child! The gift HAD to be rockstar!(Yeah, I know… just go ahead and give me the best friend ever award/tiara now…) So the bestie did some research and finally decided on MIU mainly because they offered the most affordable ultrasound packages. So the day of the appointment, we drove up to Springdale and immediately thought our GPS was lying to us, because it kept telling us we had arrived at our destination, but we couldn’t find the place anywhere. Located in the Springdale Towne Center, MIU is one of the many newer tenants of the strip mall. Upon doing some detective work, we realized it was in the unmarked unit(no visible signage outside building) located right next door to the clearly & visibly marked Nina’s Florist. FYI, not gonna lie. As the bestie & I walked up to the building, we both looked at each other and wondered if we were about to walk into some crock doctor’s office. Like the ones that you visit in some South American city to «get some work done» or like some«family clinic,» in some shady part of town to get«something taken care of»…if you know what I mean. We braced ourselves and ventured in. We were greeted by a man. Oh oh. And we were the only ones in the entire place. Double oh oh. But we put on our tough girl fronts and brushed our paranoia aside and proceeded to check in for our appointment, It’s a really neat and well kept facility, if you can get over the isolation factor, it’s actually a nice little spot. Bigger than a normal doctor’s office. Our tech was friendly and very helpful in making our first ultrasound experience a memorable one. He was knowledgeable about the whole process and educated us in what exactly we were seeing on the screen. We left our appointment with a bunch of free stuff for mom(magazines, formula samples, educational material, etc.), and a lasting memory that we both will never forget. Totally worth the money. I highly recommend getting a 3D/4D ultrasound… at Mirror Imaging. Couple of notes: 1. They only accept Visa, Mastercard or cash as forms of payment. 2. You must bring proof of your prenatal care i.e., medical, diagnostic ultrasound ordered by doctor to confirm due date.(I know, a bulging belly is apparently not proof enough!) 3. Friends & family are welcome to sit-in on the ultrasound… just let them know how many in advance. 4. They’re closed on Wednesdays.
